Thanks for this! I learned I need to increase signal dispersion skill, AND more importantly to get my compensation skills to 5 - no more being a neutered Logi boi for me! 😁 Also, with the Rook and recon ships 5, you get 150% bonus to strength?! So if your strength is eg 1, you get a 1.5 bonus making it 2.5? If true, then it not only looks awesome, but is a beast! If not, meh, it's still pretty 🤩 Fantastic video, thanks for teaching capsuleers like me how things actually work!
I would have added links to this only because it's important to note that they don't apply to burst jammers. Also there is a third common ecm set up if you have a roaming fleet and the ecm is mainly there to counter logistics. That being 2/2 normally caldari/amarr or caldari/gallente. This is because you're most disruptive towards caldari/amarr logi and they will have the highest sensor str. Gallente because they are some of the most common small gang logistics
@GildiiAuscent third set up really only shows up in mid sized gangs. Small gangs you're generally going to avoid enemies running logi. And once your fleet gets to a certain size you're either not using ecm anymore or you have enough ecm ships that rainbow is the best option.
Once upon a time it did, but that was changed. The beauty of jamming (using certain ships) is that they work at extremely long ranges which keeps your fragile ECM ship a bit safer.
Thanks for the video! Theres only one module missing that i can think of which is the signal amp (low slot).
That is right, I forgot about this one because I use it so rarely ^^'
I dont see it used too often despite how powerful it is. iirc tech 2 increases signal strength , targeting range, and +2 locked targets.
Yeah, people just seem to go for tank/dps rarher than securing their sensors

Yesss, this :D
Gildii the man who cant be killed. Thanks for all your guidance this year
Only when I remember to turn off auto reload on my ancil repper xD
Excellent video, there can never be enough info about ECM.
Thank you :) I had some fun digging all the information up
This is a super useful video, thanks Gildii
Glad you like it :)

Yep, they gain a ton of jammer stregth, they do take a lot of training to get

Hm, never saw the 3rd setup in action, but it makes sense

ECM prevents the target from locking anyone but you? I thought it blocked all targeting... this makes so much sense now.
I think it used to do this in the past, long long time ago. But now it is a "look at me" button

Oh yes, kitsune for example has some ridicolous range
I use a kitsune. Range go brrrrr.
Oh yes, it is a great for user, annoying for enemy ship
burst ecm jihad scorpion is the most fun ship in the game
How about a fleet of burst jamming mallers with smartbombs?
