Thank you! I am both attracted to and scared by the Hollow even 30 years after experiencing things during our three trips there. I just happened to run a search for the Hollow and you popped as just posting! Coincidence? Or the act of ghosts? Either way, I subscribed!
Someday I can tell you my war stories of the place and the legends I was told in 1990!

Thank you for such a fascinating video filled with curious Ohio history. Ohio is quite a beautiful and very soulful state. Hmm, I think I’d have to reconsider my routes home at night there if I saw the devil riding a headless horse… without a doubt.
Ohio is indeed known for its cry babies in the late night hours when all is eerily quiet, and then comes an unearthly sounding wail of a baby. Not just heard at bridges, though those are more often spoken about. I lived in Southwest Ohio, and late at night I’d be up in the peaceful quiet sketching, reading, researching a project, etc. I’d often have the window in the living room partially open to allow fresh air to flow, even in the dead of winter. Odd sounds can be heard of unnatural beasts, and on occasion a baby’s cries could be heard lilting through the silent night splitting the chill of the air so that a shiver would run down the spine. Always the same cry in a series of wails repeated over and over again. Some say it’s the spirits of the dead trying to trick the unexpected soul to come outside into the night so they could carry them away to never be seen alive again. True? I don’t know. I was just too hesitant to go outside to check out where the cries were coming from. Demon or ghost? Can’t say for certain. No one at the time had a baby in the area, and certainly no one would have their child out on a cold night in autumn and leave it cry and cry and cry in between periods of uneasy silence. It would go on for over an hour, sometimes fading off. This kind of thing can be heard all over Ohio, but few are willing to talk about it. What if it really was a child? But if it were why or how could it survive through a cold night? And why would the cries seem to fade in and out, as if crossing over the dimensions? When it faded out was the demon leading an unsuspecting soul to its doom? When it had succeeded did it then later fade back into this dimension again looking for another soul to lure away? One night this kept going on and on, and at times seemed almost right outside near my property, so I finally got up and closed the window tight and locked it securely. I could faintly hear it as if it were coming close to my window, then it would turn away and fade off into another direction far into the distance. It kept this up throughout that one particular night until the sun began to peak its light across the sky. Then an uneasy silence fell all around. Was it an injured animal? I doubt that as coyotes would have found it quickly from its cries. Even they stayed hidden and silent when the cry baby could be heard. To me that speaks in volumes when coyotes are even silenced and cowering in the night. Some have attempted to search for the baby, but felt uneasy, and turned back to go back inside their homes, locking the doors tightly. They have said the cries were always the same distance away no matter how fast they tried to walk towards the cries. Some say the cries would move around as if they were being surrounded,… but by what? No one ever finds the cry baby. Makes one wonder doesn’t it?
Take care and God bless to all of you.

This is awesome BlueBerryGirl! You and Megan should talk!
There is definitely an entity that we dare not speak its name that has a pattern of this type of behavior.

Oh, wow! I’ve never heard of WendyBoys! That’s a scary creepy sounding entity. Maybe worse than the old devil himself snatching souls. To be honest, it has happened more than one occasion, and it makes you wonder if you are imagining things due to lack of sleep. That is until you find out others have had the same experiences. I can imagine Megan is fascinating to talk with. When I’m feeling a bit better I’ll see if I can contact her. I’m just getting over a few things, and have to get my voice back again. Perhaps I can try emailing you over the weekend. I’m not sure what the other unspoken nightmarish entity being could be. I’ve heard Sasquatch can make these sounds, but to be honest I’ve never experienced anything negative when they were around our parts. Did once when watching my sister’s farm. Otherwise no issues really from them.
Well… Things do go bump, and more, in the night. No Lilly Faint Hearts should stay up at night. :)

he saw a train coming towards the car via the creek to this day at 78 years old it still makes him shiver. I have a copy of the book sold by a woman who
appeared to be in her 80's at the time was selling the books from her home on the main drag through the Hollow. Believe me, she had some interesting
stories. Anyone who would like to read "Rogues Hollow History" it can be found on the internet.

Great video! Nice to see Rogues Hollow and the tales from this eerie area of Wayne County, Ohio where I live. Rogues Hollow has more tales like the ghost train you mentioned in your outtake, the mine with the ghostly dancing pickaxes and shovels, to the giant snake that terrorized the area in the 40's until a Marine home on leave managed to capture and kill it. Its body was preserved and put on display at a local gas station there but it mysteriously disappeared one day. An article in a 1990's October edition of The Akron Beacon Journal told the tales of Rogues Hollow. They had a psychic recommended by either Akron University or Kent State go with the reporter to get their insights on the area. The psychic said they didn't sense any ghostly entities per se but did say that Rogues Hollow did have a unusually high spiritual or psychic energy.

Not sure if this is one of the big 5, but we have one in Holmes County that is in Panther’s Hollow - a forest that is allegedly haunted by old circus panthers. It’s also nearby the headless angel cemetery. 😅 HC’s cry baby bridge has a similar legend - a witch or woman threw the baby off the bridge and if you pass over at night, you can hear the baby crying. There are legends that if you park and turn your car’s engine off over the bridge, your car won’t start and you’ll be stuck in the haunted woods!

First off, I love Megan's hat (hope I remembered her name correctly) Rogue's Hollow sounds like a great place to do a night time paranormal investigation. It's a beautiful place especially in the Autumn. Definitely packed full of interesting history and a dangerous work place on top of that. So seven saloons and no brothel? Now that possible missing fact strikes me as odd.
LMAO. Loved the bloopers. Now if you used a stack of large white corrugated poster boards with the written lines on them AND had Dean toss them after being read out loud? (with ass't Joey) Cause he'd enjoy that probably too much.
Happy Halloween to you as well.
PS : I can't name Ohio's Cry Baby Bridges, but Oklahoma has a lot of them too. We even have sightings of Deer Woman at Mowhawk Park which is right before the zoo. SMH old witch stories and women tossing babies off bridges ...sigh. The headless horse with imp really makes me think far more of the Sidhe or dark Fae stories. Atleast 20 yrs. ago there were peacocks being raised down the road from the cry baby bridge. They could give off some crazy cries and I suspect that started the cry baby legend. Years ago a friend claimed to see an apparition of a woman walking thru a field in the area dressed in 19th century garb. My daughter and her friend stopped for what they thought was an approaching train as the gates and lights at the double tracks in the hollow went off. No train came thru and they got a very creepy vibe! It's a beautiful area but so highly saturated with history and alot of it dark you can "feel" it. By the way, Jeffrey Dahmer lived with his family in Doylestown before moving to Bath, Ohio. Interesting when u hear tales of past evil and the devil connected to the hollow.
