I really think if he would have hit a flat surface like the container it would have distributed the weight across the bumper and probably pushed it in a little. Instead he hit a pole that put the whole force of the car in one direct area. That poll done some bad damage.

Eli Elimk2, EH i swapped a 2.5 head on my 2.7 it runs fantastic. Lots bettet than the stock eta.

Rusty P3nis yea. It bolts right on. The 2.7 liter head for the m20 is super restrictive for emissions and fuel economy. Swapping the pistons and 2.5 liter head allows a lot more airflow. good amount more power than the eta head.
It's a stroker M20 in there with Ross pistons
Just to be clear, a canadian alpha on utv tires has a further yard jump than bj baldwin and a full on trophy truck.
James Hewitt to be fair a trophy truck probably outweighs that alpha by 3500lbs/1600kg.
But a trophy truck has thousands of dollars put into to jump big jumps so you’re missing the point by talking about weight

Weight definitely plays a factor into how far something can jump, money has a factor into how well it can jump.
True. But trophy trucks are usually getting air in wide open desert races and are carrying a lot of speed up to the jump. All I’m saying is it’s not unthinkable that the alpha could do a little better in a tight space like that.

@@r4ng3k03r1 driver could have easily been KO'd from that type of impact. Truth is, he probably was, albeit brief. The fact there was zero sign of any driver input (including brake lights) after landing...that's where my vote goes.
@@EricSchutt he actually did press the brakes you can see the brake lights light up but he said he lost brakes so that would make sense why they didn't stay lit up.
You could totally tell the dude was not happy with what happened at all and just knew he couldn't show it!

It was already dropped off a flatbed tow truck, all he did was dent the front end a bit and destroy his oil pan. Not the worst thing to happen and it looks like the Hoonigans trailered it home for them, at the end of the video you can clearly see their loading the AMC in the Hoonigan trailer, and I'm sure they hooked then up with plenty of merchandise as well. I'm sure everyone is okay with the outcome that was involved.
