    Just to add it was a joy and an honour to be asked to feature in this first episode with Grant, Uncle Red and Ceb. I’m sure there will be many more to come from these guys and I will be waiting and watching when they come. Thanks for the positive comments about my bike so far…..😊👍

    Absolutely bloody fantastic. If I didn't know any better I'd have said this was season 7 and you guys had been doing it for years. The production value is second to none and you can tell every little detail has be thought about. Well done guys, I can't wait for the next one.

    The inlet rubbers you mention are 36y the same as the ones they had on the fj1100 Yamaha. The fjr is the later 1300. I have had 2 xjr1300 Yamaha s a 2003 on an 04 plate sp model. And the later xjr1300 Yamaha. I also had a fjr1300A Yamaha. I'm now looking at buying another carbed xjr1300 Yamaha SP. Awsome muscle bikes. My old SP you could open it up in top gear with a pillion and it pulls like a Jet Engine. Lol.

      Thank you so much for that knowledge. Good luck with purchasing another XJR, there should still be some lovely clean examples out on the market 🤘

    Bloody awesome guys the XJR was a corker and I love mine too although she's a 1200sp not the 1300 keep it up guys there has ta be many more to come : ) .

      The 12 is a weapon. How the Japanese built it to be. Pre EU regulations.

  • @jeg569
    @jeg569 2 года назад +2

    You are all wrong, there was never an old FJR1300, it was an FJ100 and a FJ1200, the inlet rubbers are 36Y’s of the old FJ.
    Had my XJR1300 22 years since new, 125 bhp with the carb rubbers, advanced ignition and Devil race cans.

    @ 21 mins the owner corrects the interviewer and says its "OIL cooled" !! I think you'll find its PRIMARILY air cooled and has supplementary oil cooling !

    I've just bought some Laser X-treme cans for my 1300, the best pipes on the market (sadly they are no longer manufactured and have to be bought second hand)..

    Liked the video, as I own a XJR 1300 RP02 myself including the Laser exhaust. The wrong statements about the FJR were already mentioned above, so I wouldn’t repeat. Only thing, I didn’t like was the constant background music, not needed for me.

  • @coppermine64

    Fj1200 engine not FJR. FJR comes in 1300 and is a watercooled completely different engine. Clearances and shims is a simple DIY task. Both FJ12 & XJR machines are the same. Also carb inlet rubbers are a restriction on the XJR Get the inlet rubbers for/from an FJ12 and enjoy the simple boost.

    FJ and XJR engines are 99% the same , exept for the outgoing shaft for the front sprocket. On a FJ engine this shaft is 2cm shorter so you could fit this engine in a XJR but you cant connect the chain

    Youre WRONG about the bike showing blue lights.....legislation states.....no vehicle shall be fitted with a lamp (or equivalent) which is capable of showing any light to the rear, other than red, except a white reversing light ( when reversing only) and/or a white light to illuminate the vehicle's registration plate, or a taxi meter. BLUE lights from a warning lamp fitted to an emergency vehicle or any device used for POLICE purposes ARE allowed. your bike does NOT fit these categories........
