  • In this series we re-commission bikes that have been sat a long time, these are customers bikes so we have a deadline and a budget to keep to.
Watch us get a bike that’s been sat for 3yrs and does not run, then get it road worthy again and back on the road with some nice shiny new parts. We battle fuelling issues, clutch issues and mechanical issues to get it road worthy!

That old clutch fluid 😳 Great bikes was the FJ. About 8 years ago I rescued an FJ1100 that had sat in a garage for 20 years. It took me a year to get it roadworthy and I still have it today.

I had 2 FJ1200. The last one a 3XW was a very good bike for both touring (with complete luggage and tank bag + low line exhaust from XJR) and sport (no luggage and high end carbon exhaust). Good memories.

I have a great memory of this bike. Young and stupid, I recall high siding one. Hell of a lot of bike to hold onto, if it gets out of shape. Great bike, though!

  • @dionipedales9248

Very good job !! I start this week to do the same with a fj 1200 . From Spain. 😁

  • @geoffmcwiggan2814

  • @falconrks99

  • @Blondrider

    Buen trabajo

I found that getting the crankcase beather pipe to stay on the underside of the airbox was the hardest when I was trying to get the box onto the carbs.

My brother and i restored a 3xw about 2 years ago and changed the colour from gold to the blue and pink scheme as this is, except we have white on the belly pan 😀

Nice FJ. Lovely grunty engine, comfy and reliable. A little thirsty but not as bad as some of the V twins. Great bikes. Had a 1TX replaced a noisy starter chain on mine which meant a full engine strip. Nice engines to work on with a great club which hires out the specialised tools needed here and there. Great video, thanks.

  • @timrains5011

Loved watching that but you didn't fire it up. I always fancied an fj1200 but you gotta love fettling. Fjr or blackbird it is

  • @stevegray5709

I've now watched all 4 of you Resurrection Workshops and been pretty much impressed by them all. Fair play to you. I have exactly that kind of requirement but was disappointed when I found you're more than 200 miles away. Never mind, I hope you do well.

  • @PMSCOTT68

    Awesome

  • @jonathanstyles5033

Excellent video, very helpful. I'm saving this for reference on my FJ. 👍👍👍

  • @savinggracechurch4112

Wow, brilliant new RUclips video on the fj12.

  • @user-ce5th9rl4u

Great bike, I had two, first one was nicked, but the second did a lot of Europe. Wish I still had it😢

  • @josemanuelmartin942

Muy buen trabajo. lo único que he echado de menos es el cambio de retenes y líquido de horquillas, pero supongo que lo habrás hecho off camera. Saludos desde España

Grest job! Where to buy good quality rebuild kits for hydraulics (clutch master&slave, brake pumps&caliper repair kits)?

  • @cbrider726
