I do love staffs. Got a few hiking ones that double as potential training staffs. Also have a heavy old jo staff, thats a proper wrist and shoulder wrecker. 😀
Great training session as always! While I love all areas of the art, bankaw has slowly crept up to being nearly my favorite. I like a shorter plexus length staff to emulate the sort of stick I would take hiking and bushcrafting.
I was walking around with my metal water bottle which had a handle. I thought if i could do basic Kali strikes and it worked perfectly. Care to share some water bottle lessons? 😅
I have a rattan and a hardwood staff which is much heavier. Would it be ok if I used the heavier staff in these drills if I am still relatively new at Kali, or just stick with the rattan for now until I get the mechanics down?
Thank u Paul for the video again. When are u doing a drill a day again? I go everyday back to a drill a day series.
Thank you! Not sure yet. Maybe later this year. 👍🏼

It’s definitely one of my recent more enjoyable areas. That changes from time to time. Kali is so vast and it’s great to mix it up.
Greetings Professor Paul..I like your kali stick videos..Just made my own 24 inches out of cedar..100

@@kalicenter Definitely, you could even find weapons you thought weren't a weapon!
Nice staff

How do you train to increase the force and power behind the strikes?
