That setup on a height adjustable self propelled sprayer chassis would be cool. The head could be out front with the main conveyor going under the cab and then up into a hopper. It would make it even more of a niche thing that it already is but, I think probably only contractors will have one anyway. It is a crop saver for sure! Thanks for sharing and showing this!

I agree, having wheels at the end of the booms is a bit crude compared to today's sprayer technology.

There are a TON of things you could do with that. Pulling the seed head layer of a triticale crop off the top to increase ratios then be able to mix the remnant green swathed into different silage, doing simple topping collecting in a pasture. Would probably be more efficient at harvesting failed crops to take that and then line up the dumps in front of a combine with a pickup.

That's a tidy bit of kit Matt, and it's done a fair old job, thank you and best wishes from EA.

Good luck to him. I hope Zurn continue to develop it with him.
At least he's got autosteer to allow him to concentrate on the machine.
Oats aren't the easiest thing to cut and at that height is think it's harder still.
It's where a reverse driver tractor might help so you can sit facing the machine?

I can remember back in the late 60's and early 70's pulling wild late by hand, pulling them up and putting in an old fert bag, a God awful job then someone brought out a chemical glove that as you pulled the glove up the late it would leave a small amount of chemical killing the oat. The only problem was that you were left with a red word hand as the chemical caused skin problems.

Mad yoke great invention. But new machines always need twerking so will only get better.

The trade off there is well worth the dribble of diesel
over chemicals AND the difference between sale crops
    over forage feed crops.
However it has to be said that this is basically a
combine that can adjust its header more effectively
still would be better AS a combine header that can crop higher though

When it cuts into the wind it seems to me that the result is better.

I think the design would be better with a vacuum after the header. Filling up a container so seeds don’t get dropped on field.

It is somewhat scary seeing what looks like the cutterbar from a combine running across a field of barley. Nice looking job from that though.
