I realize this video is from quite some time ago, but I used it to load the driver and the programming software on to my computer. THANK YOU for such a clear and accurate description of how to do this. Programming the scanner this way is so much easier than doing it manually.
Excellent video! I found and used this to program my (firefighter) father's BC125AT when we'd both been close to giving up on the thing. Once I followed the steps, programming the scanner was a breeze. Well done! Thanks for this!
Oddly in 2023 and with Win10, Windows installed the usb drivers on it's own, so all I had to do was install the main program, select the correct COM port and it works.
Excellent FIRST video - really helped me get set up. Sure wish you had come back to do the SECOND video on how to use the software to program the scanner, you know, for those of us who need smart people like you to make complex things work.
I have Win 10 on a practically brand new laptop & the instructions wanted me to open the .inf file. Although I’m no where close to being computer illiterate, I was very, very leery of messing w/my laptop. So I ended up paying someone $90 to upload the software for me.
Great video, one question... Can the software read AND write to the radio? Some radio/PC connections only allow an overwrite of the internal storage of the radio Thanx!
