Our April - Welcoming Lambs to the Homestead and Getting Our Chicks Outside!

April was a BIG month on our homestead and so I wanted to show you a little piece of it. In this video, we welcome our lambs, spend a little family time together, and move our chicks from the basement brooder to the outside chicken tractor!
For those who may be curious, we are raising heritage Soay Sheep on a 6-acre homestead in Western North Carolina. In addition, we also raising a small flock of various chickens, some Embden geese, Bourdon Red turkeys (our cow is no longer with us as of May). We post a lot about our adventures as a family as we explore Appalachia, build our garden, and raise our children slowly and simply.
