Thanks for watching/listening and… COYG! 🤝
you guys honestly keep me sane after these games
Ahhhh that means so much mate :)
The bias from pundits against arsenal, the refs against arsenal, haaland throwing the ball at gabbi then telling arteta to be humble… man city celebrating a draw no criticism received… no punishment will be received its crazy
One rule for Arsenal, another rule for the rest
It’s weird City are getting hammered on a number social media platforms
The league is officially corrupt! We can all see it
Man City are getting more favoured since there emergence in recent years. Saliva and Gabriel are different types of defenders. The former is most times smooth on the ball although scary at times but haven't given the ball away under any of those situations while the latter was jittery initially under pressure (especially that mitrovic incident) but his leap is incredible, also his block and lastly the vibes, he gets pumped up anytime he does a power defensive action which is very instrumental to our mentality, Myles is like an Ashley Cole. Aggressive and dogged. Big ups the Arsenal.
“What are they going to do, fire us?” is the energy that the PGMOL is constantly giving off.
Love Bhavs, wish him all the best and want to keep seeing him around!
Always welcome and will stay :)
“How is Trossard supposed to pull out mid hit?” 😏😂 17:33
Oh god loooool
Hit it and quit it 😂
I think if trossard had done a normal pass out to Martinelli, rather than booting it in to the air, it might of been looked at differently
Gotta up his edging game 😂
We're not talking about the Timber double meg on the touchline in the second half nearly enough. Man has no chill. It was so mean to Gvardiol.
That was a fantastic moment. It really showed how Timber just knows he belongs on the big stage. What a player
He should have been given a red card for that.
Which was worse a ball being kicked a second after the whistle or Haaland throwing a ball into the back of the head Gabriel ! Which deserved a card ?
This George point at 43:46 🤣🤣 Gabriel's so underrated. I don't think fans outside Arsenal realize just how good he is, a little like Ben White
He’s an unfashionable pillar!
That's why GabiXL got his hair done. He has to keep up with the fogging estandards @@TheCannonPod
He is a consummate athlete. He just knows that he can match up with anyone, and he has a particularly strong ability to dig deep and keep us in games. The fact that he continues to score important goals is a testament to how important Gabi truly is. Truly blessed to have the guy
BTW, it bears mention that Michael Oliver did not give a second yellow to Kovacic at Emirates last year after one brutal, studs-up tackle after another because, according to Howard Webb, "He didn't want to ruin the game." I guess he decided ruining games is no longer a concern, so he chose to ruin Sunday's game instead.
Oliver should be added to the list of charges to make it 116
He couldn't stand Arsenal on top of the game.
exactly. that ref is a dirty little stain on the prem. PGOML or whatever they are called will let it happen more and that will transpire to be a fact, watch 👀
Good point about Harlaand and he did it twice, just ran into players. And Silva point kicking ball away is issue too
The fact about the application of the rules is that for this specific game, the ref set the precedent that kicking the ball away/delaying the restart (call it what you will) wasn't going to be an offence punishable by a yellow card. The ref set it, not the players. Therefore, Trossard was playing by that precedent set and then the ref completely went back on that and actively decided to go by a different set of rules which Trossard had no idea was being applied.
It's an absolute disgrace that can be allowed to happen. But then you look into it a bit further, this ref has been paid to officiate matches in the middle east organised by the same owners as Man City, he's from Manchester/surrounding areas and then you start to work out why this is happening.
Very glad to hear that guys ! I am confident you will take all us to a new level ! Good luck
Thanks brother hoping for continued learning :)
The perfect blend of banter and insight - love it lads 🙌🙌
Glad you enjoyed it brother!
This is the season a la Chicago Bulls vs Detroit Pistons moment. The changing of the guards / new champions. News flash - Rodri is out for the season. If we don't take advantage of the circumstances this season, then never will.
I have never referenced this documentary before ever lol but very true mate!
Our player recruitment of a legion of 6 footers is the equivalent of Jordan and the bulls hitting the weight room and bulking up to stand up to the Bad Boys.
Booooo
Keep your yank waffle to yourself
Bernardo Silva was already down when Trousard kicks the ball. There was no way Mancity was going to start that game until Silva gets up. So i honestly don't get how kicking the ball away would delay restart
Did you see the pain on his face? I was so worried he would never be able to walk again. It’s pretty mean by Trossard to go in that hard against someone without the stability provided by a spine. Could’ve folded him in half. Thank goodness he got up and was able to sprint full speed just moments later.
Irrelevant. Whether the kick CAN be taken (player down or ball rolling) uas no bearing on an opposition player's actions and therefore their subsequent punishment.
It was still bad refereeing but that's not why.
Our defending gives me hope for our champions league endeavors. I thought our defence always let arteta down in being a cup manager but now its our strongest facet, we can shut out teams whenever we want.
Yellow card for delaying the restart should only be for when the ref is certain it was done on purpose.
It should only be for when the ref is 100% certain it was done on purpose, to deliberately kick the ball away to stop a restart. The whistle goes, every player has stopped running and then you kick the ball away, that should be a yellow card !
The whistle goes and Trossard had started the motion to kick the ball, Walker was still trying to get the ball, he was stopping Walker from playing it ! How can he be delaying the restart when the half was basically over !
brilliant performance. But i think we need few mire technician in the team. other than partey and calafiori before he got cramps, lacked composure and skills to beat the press and stitch something together to release the pressure instead of hoofing it waiting for other wave of attack
I think the signings will come in good time. Or as quickly as FFP allows.
The end of the match struck me as potentially a very significant moment.
Multi champions ManCity, arguably the best team in the world over the last few years, under the best manager, celebrating wildly.
Celebrating that they had managed to scramble a draw in they dying seconds.
At home.
Against 10 men.
Significant?
Didn’t realise Sam Altman had such a great understanding of the game
Welcome back tooooo
This should be our caution . Any time the whistle is blown against you , leave the ball and go and take position right away. The referees are looking out for avenue to show us red card .
Quality Pod guys!!! Great points all across the board. COYG!!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
I’m sad to hear to news about bhavss just wanted to say i hope any of my comments on “hating his analysis” didn’t play a part in him leaving its all just banter he’s a great guy and i would miss him on here
Bhavs will stay mate just needs to prioritize some more personal time is all!
-Giorge
Good to see someone be self reflective and aware of previous actions that may have been questionable.
A good day to you Sir.
Our complaints to the PGMOL are falling on deaf ears, ZERO regulation is why nothing will change. The whole restart rule in itself is idiotic
I love a wildly unpopular take, especially after this pod. Here we go.
In games like the ones we've played over the last couple of weeks, Gabriel is immense. Indomitable. When we need a rear guard action, he's the general you want.
When we want to dominate the ball though? Or if we want to play out against a powerful press? Hear me out: Timber/White, Saliba, Calafiori, Davies (or more realistically, White, Saliba, Cala, Timber).
My only complaint about Gabriel is how he handles being pressured when on the ball.
Maybe I'm just scarred by Bayern, idk.
Tin foil hat moment but I think this “delaying restart” rule is a way of officials having even further “reasons” to match fix.
George, go watch the 442 video, explains the city goal well, their players pulled our defence apart. Also Calafiori improved against Savinho, otherwise pep wouldn't have subbed him
Can we get George and Clive from AVP talk about tactics? It will be so good to see how you both see the next lineup. COYG - we survived this week.
Would be an amazing collaboration I’d love to do :)
-Giorge
Now then.
Been waiting for Alex's take on this match , can finally calm down lmao
Silva literally dribbled the ball away when we got the free kick we scored the equaliser from. The officiating is a joke and the league is done. I can hardly enjoy the game anymore.
I’ve been seeing something in the past two games that must be being told to the players by Arteta. When Raya goes long to a player, whether it’s Havertz, Rice, Martinelli, they head the ball forward toward the opposition goal rather than down and back to a teammate. If we had runners coached to run onto that ball afterwards it could work. But we just end up heading the ball forward into an opposing defender or keeper. It’s almost like without Odegaard they prefer to just win the ball back with the press after the header rather than playing it up the pitch.
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Honestly, if you told me a year or two that i would be upset about a 2-2 draw AWAY at city with 10 players, i would tell you that you are insane, that tells me everything about where we are as a team and our goals this season and beyond. We were less than 60 seconds away from a win in a ground in which we have not won in 9 YEARS. City are shaking and we need to take advantage of it. Hell of a game, i could not be prouder of the performance.
Sorry to hear Bhavss won’t be involved in TCP, but we still have his channel.
Thanks for mentioning that 35 minutes stat! Haven’t heard anyone else mention it since Sky asked OPTA at the end of the match, and then chose to ignore it since, especially when creating the dark arts narrative
He still is involved mate just will come when he can!
Guys, watch today's Rory talks when he shows what pundits wrote after we lost at City 3-1 and had ball control, and what they're doing now.
What I said in mid-week about Calafiori's impulsiveness came true in spades on the Haaland goal; Calafiori took the wrong line on Savinho, got spun, and was in no-man's land as Savinho plowed unchallenged into the midfield. He scored the equalizer, which was a wonder-goal, but what I said about the "Ows" coming with the "Wows" was on display.
I trust Arteta to iron those out
He didn't take the wrong line, he just over-committed. It happens. Particularly in your first start for a club.
How many times are we gonna have to sit and watch a referee decide the game for us... it's exhausting and is real close to killing my interest for the game.
Hey!, it's Ross and Chandler from friends 😂🤣
Ipswich town are so so good 😂😂😂😂
And can someone say something about the fact that the Trossard second yellow was administered after the 6 minutes of stoppage time was already into the 8th minute? Or that the second City goal was scored in the 8th minute of 7 minutes of stoppage time? Or that Haaland then throws the ball into the back of Gabriel's head at point-blank range?
Stoppage time is a MINIMUM OF x minutes.
Canon Tv era whilst winning majors? That’s crazy, we will be there👀
It was just 0.8 seconds between the whistle and Leo kicking the ball, yet we still got a yellow card that led to a red. This kind of booking is something players can’t avoid, no matter how much effort they put in, because there’s no clear rule. This just gives referees the power to influence the game in favor of the team they like or against the team they don’t. How is that fair? Isn’t there a way to reduce the room for such subjective decisions by referees?
At the very least, shouldn’t we be able to demand an official response regarding inconsistencies?
0.8 is more than enough time reaction wise- for context 100m sprinters react in under 0.2sec.
If I’m honest my first reaction to Trossard kicking the ball away was, “whyyyy the f are you doing that when you’re on a yellow!?!?”
You absolutely can avoid it, just play for Citeh
@@Alvin-jr9otbit different sat on a line waiting for a whistle compared to playing a free flowing game in a loud atmosphere isn’t it
@Alvin-jr9ot
That's the reaction time (and approaching the limit of it) for behaviours that are highly trained to be reacted to. That is not an expected reaction time for new or inconsistent stimuli. The more information, decisions or external factors (e.g. pressure or multiple noise sources), the longer the expected reaction time.
That also doesn't consider the mechanics of stopping and action already in motion - it is much harder to alter a decision already made.
I love this Podcast
Glad you enjoy it mate :)
A notable example of uefa refs protecting entertainment is when Gabriel hand balled after the goal kick against Bayern. Imagine if that was a perm he absolutely would e given a penalty and yellow card there just because he wants to prove a point
Why does TDK look AI 😂
You should get James from AFTV to join
Cheesy Cannon members- Camemberts?
From my perspective, pfa, pgmol and english media trying their best to help mancity to stay on top by weakening their direct rival. We already lose potential 4points caused by controversial decision by refs, and they are protected by media bias. We have seen it for seasons where us being robbed, same as liverpool faced on many occasions.
Did we see mancity facing the same decision by refs? Very unlikely.
Guys, excuse me but, Babs mumbles, his audio is unclear. Nice man.
Gabriel is fantastic. I think you guys are sleeping on Rudiger. For me he is the best form centreback in the world.
See you soon bhavs 🫶🏾
As great as Rodri is, I fully believe we lose this game if KdB is fit and playing in that second half.
Wow... hot take.
City are favourites at the Emirates if Michael Oliver is going to be the referee again
Oh, another point. Webb is an ex-cop. Need I say more.
City go wild as they manage to get a draw against ARSENAL at their gaf. To me, that says it all. We are already better than them
Let us do all we can not to give referees the choice
This dude Alex and his takes oñ Partey irritate me now cause it sounds like he says it foŕ the love of it, ffs pls take your own advice buddy and be consistent in youre analysis cause i know u and George dont see eye to eye on Partey for obvious reasons. Dont ever hear George projecting that much "uh in my opinion" instead of telling us what we all saw a bloody team performance. The same could be said about both Jesus and Martinelli i mean what do arsenal fans actually want from these kids really? They talk as if weve got better and thats why Jorginhio played yesterday right?😪
😂
Bhavs offers very little, long time sub to him so no hate but these two are elite
Bhavvs sacked? I've been praying for this day!!
On the Gabriel part, I think we as Fans have took it upon ourselves to sing Gabriel's praises because mainstream fails to recognise his quality talent and attributes. He's not Rolls Royce like Saliba but he's the spirit of our backline.
Not getting the recognition you deserve can sometimes grow into spite, I'm not saying that will happen but we as Arsenal fans need to show Big Gabi all the love because he deserves it.
I know Saliba is everyone else’s favourite in the back line but mine is Big Fxcking Gabi!!!
what a beast of a player🤯?@@mikeblake9761
I read an article which shows the animosity between Arsenal and Man city not only among the players, the fans but at board level. Apparently Tim Lewis is outspoken about his feelings towards the Abu Dhabi backed ownership of City, fuelling the notion that there is something inherently wrong with a state owned football club in the Premier league. Tim Lewis has also hinted publicly that City should be punished severely for damaging and corrupting the league. Now we have Oliver who has been paid by Abu Dhabi to referee a game in Abu Dhabi and i am assuming here that the PGMOL are also in Abu Dhabi's pocket hence why there's a different law for Arsenal compared to other teams
Fascinating, we should absolutely
It's not any conspiracy anymore
Looks PGMOL has been dictated to personally hamper us in any way possible.Their approach to us has erased any margins for sensisibility
"...there is something inherently wrong with a state owned football club in the Premier league"
There absolutely categorically is everything wrong with that.
I'm curious has any other team had a player sent off like this besides Trossard and Rice.
I just remembered pep losing it, that just shows how far we come !
Peps Barcelona got away with it in 2011 when Arsenal were dominant in that game, why are you surprised that Peps Man City gets the exact same decision when Arsenal are dominating them here. Oliver refused to give liverpool the 2nd yellow for the same thing, but can't wait to do it vs Arsenal.
This was the one that settled it for me. Joining the community, because you guys need to get paid. Excellent analysis and debate. Intelligent, and humble. Keep doing what you're doing.
So glad to have you join us mate and hoping to continue to earn that support with each vid- looking forward to growing together! Thanks for the kind words brother :)
I’m sorry but defensively Saliba is on another level to Gabriel- look at Haaland’s goal and Saliba’s run.. it looks awkward right?
People are saying it’s because he’s got an eye on Gundogan hence the gap in between them but what he’s actually doing is covering the pass to Gundogan and keeping up with the play, whilst playing Haaland offside.
It’s Gabriel that keeps Haaland onside, if he’s more aware then that pass to Haaland isn’t an option.
Offensively he’s amazing - no arguments there- but Saliba definitely makes him a better player imo.
I think that they both give each other things offensively and defensively it’s more so a symbiotic relationship + mutually beneficial relationship as opposed to one relying on the other.
-Giorge
Gab always starts slow in games. I don't know why but he needs 15mins to adjust to hame pace
On the flip side, Saliba failed to read the play on the same goal - he could have covered Gabby and didn't 🤷🏻♂️
Goodness gracious Giorge this opening monologue🤩😭😭😭
I let loose lol
The emirates will be fired up in February and if i can get a ticket for a reasonable price i will get one for sure!
Good luck with the new format, guys! :)
Thank you! :)
well I do think there is an agenda against Arsenal and it smells like Etihad oil money. I think our guy has the absolute correct attitude about the outlook on it but tbh I think he is either pushing it away or really needs to a trip to specsavers
Alex and his nonstop shots at Partey. Which member of Arsenal's middle has been better this young season?
Not saying TP5 has been great but others have been worse. Others with nicer PR.
Relax.
started 11v12, ended 10v12, still a draw, Mancity the cheats even with the help of refs couldn't do anything. CITY RATTLED LIKE LITTLE KIDS.
Its almost like these pundits forget they actually played the game. Would they have wanted these pedantic decisions being enforced 'to the letter of the law' every week? Oh wait, they aren't enforced every week. they're only enforced against Arsenal.
Hey, why are you guys not looking at Liverpool as a title challenger and finishing above Arsenal? I feel even Chelsea is doing well going by their current form. We can not be rest assured that we will win the league or be a runner-up ? Your thoughts?
You know we've arrived when we've got Pep kicking his own chair 😅😅 they are finally taking us seriously
We have shown total intent! There is a vibe with this team with a unity I haven’t seen for way too many seasons! BUT!
this team HAS to win things! It has to win to shut the haters down! We are so so close!
In retrospect Haaland should get a red card for throwing the ball at Gabby's head. That's violent conduct following the rules to the letter
Not the real deal until we win trophies ! COYG
The smaller teams should be our problems at a time. Especially the mid table teams. They are the spoilers.
Really Oliver should be number 116 charges.
Bhaves joined aftv? Did he sell out haha? Love that guy and his vids are mad
What would the score be if they played with 10 men for 55mins?
Just the two of you split screen looks a bit like an online Grindr hookup
All Hail the Almighty Algorithm ☯️🔥
Foe the record, the new discord server is 100% worth the price of entry
Hahaha glad you enjoy it mate it’s nice to be able to get closer with everyone :)
I love your podcast. One important thing is that arsenal makes us different. There is no club that has the intensity of the passion. The world knows if arsenal is unleashed there is no way anything can be controlled. That is the reason we have to earn it. Because of gun violence in America our club is thought of like that instead of thinking it like a tube stop in north London . We are arsenal and it will translate
Really appreciate the support brother ❤️ North London may be a place but for many Arsenal is a feeling and it’s that feeling that unites us from all over the world. No matter where you reside we all are collectively Gunners and can see the club becoming more competitive & in less me with our vision. Excited for the journey and proud to support :)
God bless. Will miss bhavs. Coyg

Yellow card for delaying the restart, can we give VAR a yellow card every time they take 5mins to decide something we can see in 20seconds ?
Regarding time added on. There is a simple solution. Do what happens in rugby. The ref stops the clock when the stoppage is longer than a quick restart.
Mo need to "guess" how much to add on and when time is up, it is up. Simple solution and should cause no argument.
As an Arsenal fan, the way Trossard kicked the ball is what cost him, I don’t think he plays that style of pass if he hasn’t heard the whistle..
Love the show, Alex and Giorge! Would love to be a part of the show and contribute to it!
Big frustrating day
Better off without Bhavs, no offence guys. All the best
