I could listen to him talk for hours
Bro watch his more interviews in> sound works collection you tube channel
Is it possible to have more of this? with actual editing examples it would be great.
Thank you very much for this
Why are we allowed to give a video just one thumb up....that is inappropriate and discriminating!!!
Seriously, I was lucky to see Mark in Bonn - Germany some twenty years ago where he was sharing his sound design approach for The Fifth Element. Super interesting and entertaining stuff, also funny as hell. I will never forget how he suddenly ended his talk: "Sorry, we have to end this right now. There's gonna be fireworks in 10 minutes or so, I need to get ready and record it. This guy is a legend.
Of all the RUclips comments I’ve read about my dad (seriously, Mark is my father), I love this one the most and will share with him. He will be so happy to hear such nice things about him.
legend still legend...I love to hear him talking all day
This is gold, thanks
Hello Fellow Sound Freaks ;)
@1:45 Does anyone know a good plugin that could map the rev envelope like he is talking about? Thanks!
krotos igniter maybe, but it's kinda expensive
I believe Texture by Devious Machines does this, does that seem like it's what you're looking for?
edit: After looking at Igniter I bet it's what he's talking about. This sort of thing is still possible in Texture to some extent though so it might still be useful, it's also more broadly applicable to any sort of sound design and isn't specific to cars.
If you get the chance, I strongly recommend checking out the “Engine Simulator” program by AngeTheGreat here on RUclips.
It’s got most of what you’d need to make naturally aspirated engine sounds.
(And Ange is currently working on implementing turbochargers and superchargers into the program.)
♥️🎵
This guy’s gonna hate my latest edit.
!!!!!
i dont think that volkswagen makes flat 4 engines ;p
