Nice of you to cover this. When listening to non-natives speak English, those with an understanding of the intonations sound more natural to listen to. It also helps assure that the correct message is understood by the listener. Emphasis on the wrong word or syllable can change the meaning entirely. This should be very helpful to your students. I hope there will be more joint videos by the "Dynamic Duo" of Harry and Charlie. Your witty banter is so entertaining - though I understand the challenges of trying to work together with such a large difference in time zones.

My Languages is Portuguese-Brazil, and I continue to study Portuguese, because, nobody knows everything. I study four languages. And if, one day, someone comes to make fun of me, I don't speak their language correctly, I will ask if he or she knows all of your language, how many languages do you speak and if you know anything about mine? It would be terrific if you make a video where two or three people are participating in a conversation. After that you can analyze the different intonation patterns used and their nuances in meaning.
