I know some of you are a bit more educated in the field of phonetics/linguistics than other viewers of this video, and are aware that the “d” I mentioned that Americans replace a /t/ with is a flap /t/. As I like to keep my videos simple for those who don’t need the jargon, I stuck to explaining the fact that the flap /t/ sounds a bit like a mixture of /t/ and /d/. Just keeping things simple for everyone! Not everybody watching is a high level of English and not everybody wants to know the terminology - most people are just here to practice the RP British accent. Cheers

We Americans have a lazy pronunciation style. I live in the American South - and our accents are incredibly relaxed and depending on where in the south you are, can be quite rounded and full. My favorite southern accent comes from an area in southern Alabama in the Selma/Montgomery/Greenville area of the state. Those accents are very full and round and spoken from the back of the throat. Thank you for covering this topic - accents are endlessly fascinating!

Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

Now, I can fluently speak with American accent after listening to them speaking in that accent for over 5 years and also listening to American pop music helped me a lot. So, I would just like to recommend this tip to those who have very less patience, gets distracted and bored easily and finds it easier to grasps things up through hearing sense. Because this way, it keeps me entertained at the same time my brain subconsciously picks up on the way they speak over time.
