Nice video! My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

I've been fluent in english ever since I was 14. Last year I finally got my C2 certificate just by watching videos and browsing the net. For the whole 4 years that I've spoken english I've always had an american accent which could only be described as a valley girl's one... After watching 2 movies with Hugh Grant here I am trying to emulate for the first time a british accent. The miles I would walk just to sound like him...
You´re so so passionate when teaching British that i fell in love with the accent even more. Keep transmiting that passion! you´ve got a new subscriber :)
I was high-key obsessed with American vloggers and their videos since I was 11 or some. Now, I can fluently speak with American accent after listening to them speaking in that accent for over 5 years and also listening to American pop music helped me a lot. Now, I am trying to catch on with some good British vloggers. So, I would just like to recommend this tip to those who have very less patience, gets distracted and bored easily and finds it easier to grasps things up through hearing sense. Because this way, it keeps me entertained at the same time my brain subconsciously picks up on the way they speak over time.
Are you Indian? If yes, than I know your problem because Indians mix up between British and American Englishes. After some practice, now I always speak it the British way. I guess Brit accent is calm and gentle and American one is hip-hop coolie sort of type.

Travel With Elliott is my cup of tea🤲🤲
I have friends with this accent, so I pick up on how to speak like them just by being around them. But your video is valuable because you explain it very well. Thank you!
You have no idea how happy i am discovering your channel, i have lived with American accent in my school but i am not a fan of their accent, i REALLY like the british accent it’s so magically wonderful and soothes my ears THANK YOU😭❤️

I am doing a Captain Hook cosplay in October 2023. I am Canadian, so I am a mixer of English and American, plus living on the east coast, there’s, Scottish and Irish dialect. Let’s not forget the French either lol.
At 52, this is going to take a lot of practice to retrain my brain and tongue. Wish me luck, I got 3 months lol
I thought Hugh grant wad Australian

I was high-key obsessed with American vloggers and their videos since I was 11 or some. Now, I can fluently speak with American accent after listening to them speaking in that accent for over 5 years and also listening to American pop music helped me a lot. Now, I am trying to catch on with some good British vloggers. So, I would just like to recommend this tip to those who have very less patience, gets distracted and bored easily and finds it easier to grasps things up through hearing sense. Because this way, it keeps me entertained at the same time my brain subconsciously picks up on the way they speak over time.
We have the exact same situation :')

I don't speak the British accent exactly I just do what is easy to me. My English is mixed between British and American and this what I suffer 🤦♀️
I have this as well and i think this is the coolest accent in the world lol.
I do it too!!!
Asian problem..we use british eng because we think it's interesting it sounds amazing but we speak in American accent cause it's easy
Are you Indian? If yes, than I know your problem because Indians mix up between British and American Englishes. After some practice, now I always speak it the British way. I guess Brit accent is calm and gentle and American one is hip-hop coolie sort of type.

Hi Elliot! Your tips are useful for British accents because you, also, highlight the difference between American and British pronunciations.
Thanks & regards.
