Have a Blessed day Brother!!
You too!
This is EXACTLY the video I needed. Was trying to figure this out. It’s so tiny and delicate - didn’t want to destroy it.
I'm glad I could help!
Handy video GG!! Straight as an arrow now!!
Thanks, the next flight should look so much better! 😀✈👍
Exactly the video I needed. Thank you
Nice job GG . This rudder alignment issue seems to be common on several of the newer UMXs I've purchased/Received .
I think there testing setup is a bit out , or maybe the last setting they test is SAFE and it tweeks the rudder a bit . IDK .
But its a given we all need to check our own planes when new and periodically .
That is right! 😀👍
Thank you for making. This video, I just received the evo and the rudder and elevator was way out. All fixed now thanks to you. Cheers dude 👍👍👍
Glad I could help
Same!
Hello, great video just bought the evolution and had exactly the same problem however I did look closely at the ball joint. I photographed it as close as possible and when I zoomed into the photograph it’s not a hole in the ball joint. It’s a hex key using it. It was easy to unscrew the bold joint directly from the rudder horn but thanks anyway for a great video.
It is always nice to have options! Thanks!
Good video. I always enjoy how to videos. Thanks, son
I hope I can share something good. 😀👍
@@IJustGotHere you do!
I have the UMX Pitts and P-51 VooDoo… I despise adjustment by U bend! These ball links on the newer UMX is GREAT NEWS! Thanks for this bit of knowledge, GG - I think you just closed the deal on an Air Tractor for me!
Sorry, I have to tell you I miss spoke. The Tractor has u bends. 😮💨
Very clear, well done.
I unscrewed the tiny screw on the ball link. It worked a little easier I think than popping the ball link off. But both work.
Very helpful sir, I was wondering how to screw out the ball joint from the elevator side, had no idea I could just pop it out like that. Thanks
thanks for the info.. mine was way off also and i wasnt sure they came apart so easy...
I had to do both surfaces as well. Have fun!
Always glad to hear that I'm not alone. 👍💯
Another Great video and I love the practical tips video! Good stuff!
Ps, We'll have to plan a time to fly together soon.
For sure!! I might be able on July 3rd in the morning. 😀✈👍
@@IJustGotHere Sweet! Let's do it! 👍🏻
Good stuff Gary. Thanks
Thanks! 😀🛩👍
On all my builds I always put a z bend on the control horn on the surfaces then put a ez adjuster on the servo horn so its so much easier to manualy adjust the surfaces and you dont have to worry about the z bend breaking or popping out, which i understand csome models are hard to get to the servos loo
Love the UMX models 👍🏻
I love my Z bend pliers! 👍
@@IJustGotHere Oh yeah, they definitely come in handy and makes life much easier 😁
Z bend pliers😮, New to me lol 😂
I have the Great Planes Precision Z Bend pliers. I think they are discontinued now.
About 2 days late! Made the same mechanical adjustment to my new UMX TE but screwed the whole ball linkage out and then back in using a 1.5mm drive. Your way is easier and faster.
Shoot, well that would work too. 👍
@@IJustGotHereEither way... pros and cons.
I would say same same.
Nice ! 👍✈️
Use a 1.5 mm Allen wrench and unscrew it.
Yeah that’s what I was thinking too mine is way outta place even with the trim adjusted on my transmitter
My rudder broke in the foam hinges during landing som now in is just holding by the tape pieces on boat sides. Any suggestions on best method how to repair this? :) Thx, great video :)
I've had good success with this technique. ruclips.net/video/UmyqdMbVf0k/видео.htmlsi=nK7uNpcfqcDTRYZc
I had the same problem!
So I reckon even on larger planes the elevator (up/down) should be even with the tail? My Mini Apprentice is up a little I need to lower that then?
It is a great starting point. 👍
Same issue on brand-new UMX TTE bought Dec 2023: same direction, same amount. You don't think they did this to counter torque steer, do you?
You might want to fly it first to see if it needs adjusted. 👍
The question is why do they ship the plane with the rudder off-center so much? If centering the rudder is as easy as you show here, they could have easily shipped the product aligned already.
Agreed 👍
So newbs nose it on the first flight and have to pay to fix or replace the plane lol 😅
Hey Gary, I have the red Umx T.T. Ur showing. The rudder fell off after a nose landing. Any ideas how to put rudder back on.
Thank you.
Just the rudder? I would use packing tape.
I got the nx8 and how do you set and see if you are at 0?
I believe that there are indicators on the screen showing center and I believe the radio will make a specific tone for center.
There is an easier way to adjust the rudder to be honest! The ball is a 1.5mm hex key, if you are careful you can just unscrew it! Just remember to just snug it tight! You should check them before each flight anyway! I’ve just had issues in the past with the balls not seating again firmly after it’s been removed from the plastic! Personally speaking. 😊
🎇🎇GG!!👍👍👍
😀🛩👍
Yeuppers, zero the trim first..
