the real subcontext on homosexuality has a lot to do with the vampire being sterile as are all same sex relationships. The ship that Dracula uses to ferry to London the "Demeter" is the Greek Goddess of agriculture, the harvest and her daughter Persephone is linked to fertility, rejuvenation and life cycles. The ship is named for life and rejuvenation and renewal and Dracula is hiding in this ship but he brings death the very opposite of life.
@@Person0fColor (Book perspective) Technically speaking, he IS described as attractive an charming. How much of it is about appearance is left to the viewer, given the book description, but his charisma obviously played a role in it. Like, especially in the first few chapters, Bram Stoker was REALLY juggling the "He's a monster 😧" and "Hear me out😏" 😂
@@RunaClusterhes definitely not supposed to be attractive I think, at least at the beginning of the book in his older form. Bros hands are literally described as hairy😂
Absolute ten out of ten for this Renfield. I love him.
Doing this for high school, this is really helping with my portrayal of Harker.
Oh my gosh. I just realized that the opening to this video is also the opening song to Little Nightmares. I was so shocked when I first heard it. LOL
Dude me too 😮
Plays of any kind are things you can't get in the cinema or on a TV screen. Let alone DRACULA!
That show Dracula is awesome I love it
He has the deep booming voice thing down for sure
Gotta love renfield
As a queer person, I just want to say that opening scene with Mina and Lucy was super frickin gay. Seemed like a directional choice…
Did they kiss? I hope they did.
I mean I see it… but what about Jonathan and Mina? Just my opinion, but they are a power couple to me.
Wanna ask ya, what are your thoughts of Carmilla?
