What the hell is with those two pet beds though? Those don't look like any sort of pet bed. Completely flat and cheaped out.

I feel the same way. I'm also a little peeved that this expansion is about cats and dogs and there are only two crappy beds to choose from based on pet size, so really only one choice per pet. Everything else looks great, but I feel like EA fell a little short with the pet beds.
maybe seasons will have fluffier & warmer pet beds for winter?

I'm so glad that the sims team added so many matching swatches. So few of the wood shades on items actually matched eachother before.

I legitimately started dancing around the room when I first heard about it. We really needed it for some items, such as the toddler pack’s rugs. (Agh)

my only complaint is that the pet beds look really flat! some of the textures make them look fluffy but then there’s no definition, am i️ the only one who thinks this??

The only thing I'm disappointed with are the pet beds. Why do they look like flat pancakes?? Where are all the beautiful baskets and beds from the previous games? Not even a pillow they're just... mats. I'm sure CC creators will have me covered though.

For cats they could have made cute cat-caves for them to walk into and fade away until they wake up.

i hate it too, but to be fair, sims all have the same two rigs, masculine/feminine. theres countless customizable breeds, some very very fluffy. i get why clipping could be a concern, though seeing as how we have so many oversized items like the telescope and cupcake machine, they couldve just made an oversized pet bed,
za warudo well I heard they had serious clippings issues which makes sense. I mean if they made what we wanted and couldn’t get rid of the clipping then people would be mad about them releasing them in the first place. Can’t make everyone happy sometimes 🤷🏽♀️ I personally don’t care because irl my pets don’t have their own beds they can sleep anywhere they like

The way Maxis handled the signage system in the Sims 4 is innovative. The signs from previous packs are interchangeable with future packs.

Honestly, we need more dog toys, more pet beds and more pet doors. It's supposed to be about cats and dogs but no, they get two bed options while there are legit 4 different litter boxes? Whyyyyy
You missed the bathroom set and the porch looking room (although we still got a good look at it), but that's it, I think.

I love that you show the items really nicely and up close...sometimes in these build buy overviews people don't zoom in into objects or skip the whole section like paintings :p I want to see all the itemsss..so thank James :)

Everything does look wonderful but i gotta agree with the other comments- the pet beds are very flat and 2D. The patterns are cute. But theres no "poof" to them

I wasn't going to watch a build/buy overview for this pack, but you're the only person I know who gets as excited about the furniture as I do so I had to watch it.

I really wanted to wait for a origin sale to get cats and dogs but oh my God all the objects look so so cool and in only 5 minutes into the video, and of course having cats and dogs in the game got me super excited but gdi these objects are amazing, I have a feeling I'm going to wake up tomorrow and buy this one first thing in the morning, I'm just too excited !!

I really feel like this pack is giving off a Scandinavian vibe when it comes to the build / buy items, and I'm absolutely loving it. So many of the items look like things that either my family has had in our home or that I've seen in friends' homes or even at some public places such as hotels, restaurants, etc. I'm definitely looking forward to downloading the pack for myself so I can play around with the different items and such.

I'm getting this pack for christmas tomorrow and I'm so fluffing (no pun intended) excited... Everything looks so good, my fave items might be the chair, sofa and beds with the quilts, they look soooo cozy! The cat trees are amazing too, I'm not a cat person but they just look so good

This is definitely one of my favourite build/buy packs. The doors and windows are just great, and I love the wood furniture. I’m definitely going to get this one, and it’ll probably look great with Get Together Tutor Style builds.

I'm not from the US so different distributers make that. I have a physical disc.
They dont make physical disks but the game disk has an origin code that you can redeem. Basically they sell empty boxes with just the code inside.
I honestly feel like the Sims team spoiled us with this pack. I haven't been this hyped to play in a while :D

21:20 I actually have several of those braided rugs in my house. My cat Mr. Underfoot loves them for some reason, and is constantly rolling around on his back on them.
those pet beds are bothering me for some reason
I think its bothering 80% of pet owners. Including me! My pets will be allowed to sleep in my sims beds.
the reason they are bothering you may be because they are a ball pit 3.0, or a training mat for puppies to pee on.
I wonder if its possible to resize regular beds and them still be usable for sleeping on by pets? If so that would be pretty adorable. It'd be like the photos people take of their kittens in those IKEA doll house beds. I don't have the game so can't check myself, but a possible thing to try maybe?

Used the mini objects to create a shower room type thing. I️ made a mini shower then put it in a room of glass windows so it looked like a fancy shower. It was cool!

The tomb of the unknown pupper is likely a reference to the American Civil War. An unknown soldier from each side is buried on the other side as a memorial.

I think the team have outdone themselves with this pack. The items are beautiful. Weirdly enough - not that many cat and dog items, but the style of the stuff is gorgeous.
