Everytime I’d look for him, he’s in the pool. Lol. Though I also got a household with two dogs who both fears the pool so they wouldn’t go in no matter how hard I tried. Haha.
@@klltx2001 times change. I remember growing up seeing dog houses but now I can't find anyone who has them sans in the country. I know people would abuse it though, hence the negative light. A friend's neighbor's dog was chained to its doghouse all of the time. Never allowed in unless it was snowing. Didn't know how to report it (we were aged under 10) and my friend's mum used to just say to mind our own businesses... It did get reported one day though and the dog was taken away.

i bought the pack because i like pets, and i'm not very fond of the pack tbh. i like the stuff for building, like doors, windows and such, those are nice. but the pack itself, mainly because of it lacking any sort of gameplay, is really not worth it
@@jaybee4288 yea I remember I was so obsessed with horses in sims 3 bc they could compete in various competitions although in real life I don’t care about horses very much. It’s just that the gameplay was so fun
My fave thing about this pack is that if you put the mouse hole (from city living i guess?) into a build the cats will chase the mice and they're really interested in the mice 😭😭
The mouse hole comes in cats and dogs or my first pet stuff, but I didn't know the cats could chase mice! I just seen them looking at it like they're ready to pounce 😂
I agree with you, this pack is "useful" only if you want pets. Since I love pets that's the only reason I got it lol. About the walks, it is so strange to me that for example agressive dogs don't react to other dogs or people on walks. But something bothers me and I don't know if someone else is bothered about it too : The size categories of dogs ? What is that ? For the sims team, a chihuahua is the same size as a staffie ? Or a labrador is the same size as a tibetan mastiff or a malamute ? I know it may be shallow, but it really bothers me, and I think the sizes system is a bit superficial and not entirely thought through. I don't know for cats' sizes since I don't really know anything about cats, but yeah. That was my rant.
Also walking dogs takes all day. I stick to dogs capable of walking themselves or just cats, otherwise your Sim has to devote their life to taking care of the dog and can’t have a job or do anything else. 🤷🏼♀️
Well, when you buy food for your dog, It's generally categorized by size like ,short , medium or tall breed. I think this is what the Sims team tried to do. But I don't think there is a medium dog height so that's why it's a little bit strange. ( excuse my english, it is not my first language)
@@clara_croft2991 yes I understand, but those categories are mostly because of the size of the kibble from my understanding so that big dogs don't suffocate on small kibble for example. That's a good explanation, still it bothers me a lot lol Don't worry for your english, it's not my first language either, congrats on being both bilingual 👊
I hate the sizes so much! Both of my dogs are medium dogs and whenever I tried to make them in the sims they were either tinier than a jellybean or almost as big as my sim
The fact that they released the “My First Pet” stuff pack or game pack or whatever it was right after this just makes the Expansion Pack seem a lot more like a cash grab. Things from the stuff pack should’ve come along with this pack as well. The Sims 3 really did everything better with the Expansion Packs. These pets feel way more like objects that take up a family slot. In The Sims 3 you could at least control the dog, cat, or horse, which makes a lot more sense for why they take up a spot
There is a little obstacle competition that takes place at the dog park that your SIM can enter with their canine companion. Though it isn't on the calendar it seems to happen randomly much like the sea turtle hatching of Sulani. It's only happened when my SIM and his dog have been at the dog park. A pop-up shows in announcements and works similar to entering competition for talent show nights at community lots. You can click on the gate of the obstacle course that magically appears and choose to enter the competition. The better your dog is trained and the higher your relationship status the better you'll do in the competition. Chaos can still ensue if you're SIM is sad, angry or tense or desperately in the red for basic needs. It's been awhile so not sure about recent glitches but if your SIM needs extra cash while building a relationship with their pet it's a silly-fun time.😸
Your SIM can gain Master Trainer, a Happy Moodlet and your dog can get labeled Champion Pet but only if you get a perfect score. It was a lot of work and there was no trophy or simoleon prize.😝 However, we ran through a couple experiments tonight and if you train you dog to learn all the tricks, I definitely suggest taking Puppers to the fashion district of San Myshuno Karaoke bar and Performing Tricks. Tips start at 10$ and famous sims generally gave 20-50$!😁🐕💰
The first time that I played in Brindleton Bay, I started in Spring. Day 1 : Sunny. Day 2 : Thunderstorm. Day 3 : Sunny. Days 4, 5, 6 : Thunderstorm. Day 7 : Sunny. Day 8 : MASSIVE thunderstorm. It lasted unabated until day 10 of Winter. After that, does anyone wonder why the first reward traits I give to my Sims are waterproof and storm chaser ? I got a cat. He was lazy and independent. He was VERY content to amble around and nap all day. Never played with him and almost never petted him, he never ran away. My First Pet should get merged into Cats & Dogs.
It is super sad that they exploit this pack. I’m not diehard on pets but love when they are well done. This EP just did not meet that. They seem like props.
@@clairejones7929 I feel like the modding community is the only thing keeping this game afloat. Maybe slightly unpopular opinion, but I get so bored with this game after new content releases because it's so shallow. So disappointing after how much I loved 2 and 3. Edit to add: I still sink way more time into those two games as well, lol.
I love this pack, but I would only recommend buying it on 50% off and whether or not it’s worth buying completely hinges on wanting a pet in the game. Like you said, it’s really not a gameplay focused pack and does not deserve the price tag it has, I think you’re mostly paying for the extremely detailed create a pet which realistically…wasn’t all that necessary? Don’t get me wrong, it’s really cool that we can paint our pets literally however we want, but it was a strange thing to prioritise over functional gameplay.
I had a family with a pitbull once and she would jump in the pool all the time, so they can do it but none of my other pets did it, so maybe it depends on the dog's personality
Ouch, I love the human CAS in this pack lol. I also didn't know about the interaction between cats and mermaids, that's such a weird but great touch to add
I played Sims 3 pets and Nintento Pets & co, and the Sims 4 cats and dogs was one of the biggest disappointments I had with University. I am so mad they did so little on gameplay, controlling animals was the best thing!
I was able to recreate my girl Sky all the way to her silly bent right ear (American Staffordshire Terrier). I was also able to recreate my lovely cat Junior (Siamese/Burmese) with the paint tool (took a bit). I miss them both but now I can see them every day :)
I like the pack for the pets, build buy, and the vet career. I'm glad I didn't pay full price. This was my first pack with the base game. I bought it for 20 bucks bundle. I thought the sims 4 was better, i know now...
The human CAs wasn't completely terrible. I thought the cat hoodie was cute! (That being said, the hairs were horrendous.) I will (probably) never like a Pets expansion pack more than I like the one for Sims 3. That one is tops!
I don't have that pack but if its that blank cats and dogs should've been in there base game!! (Just like weather!) And maybe they could've put out a pack with more animals, horses, wild life, birds, small pets etc and the careers.. !
This pack also makes me sad and frustrated. When you want to interact with the strays, often even if the pet is walking past your feet the Sim just stands on the spot waiting for the command to go into action. I guess the animal is programmed to leave even if it’s right there, so interactions fail. Once a cat I owned gave birth whilst coming back from exploring the wild and the kittens were just stuck there. I could not carry them home and when I tried to put them up for adoption the guy was stood next to them trying to take them. All I could do was watch helplessly as the kittens got sad and scared in the rain as other Sims were mean to them 😭 buggy af
Omg SERIOUSLY. I can't tell you how many times I try to make my sims interact with pets or strays and they just fucking stand there!!! I have to completely close out my game because their damn action is stuck in the queue. I can't even adopt strays because I can't get my sim to interact with them enough 🙄 it's so buggy and ridiculous. And don't get me started on the "cat/dog hangout" lot traits. I turned it on and 10 minutes in and the were 7 cats in my house. And because my sim can't fricken interact with them half of the time, I cant even pick them up and carry them out.
@@chattycatty3336 omg 😱 frustration all round it seems! I also tried to adopt and if the cat happens to jump on the worktop and I try to adopt, the sim just stands in the way waiting for the cat to come down and the cat is just locked on the spot, stuck on the work top. Cancelling the action sometimes helps but often by that time the adoption time has run out and they end up leaving. If the get that cat straight back from the adoration place to try again their personalities change so if you wanted that cat for looks and traits then tough, it’s now turned into an affectionate cat (which is actually the worst trait for cats in this game!). So bad!l and annoying. I’ve rage quit because of sh!t like this 🙈
@@LionmaneElsie08 dang i was wondering if we could make a fake adoption center where we moved the animals into the household with one sim and then we could "adopt" the animals by moving them into other households, but if their traits or appearance change that sucks :(
@@chattycatty3336 sometimes it’s useful as I’ve liked a cat but hated the traits, so sent it back to the adoption center a few times until it came back with some I liked. But when it was already ‘purfect’ and it goes away and comes back different it really does suck 😅
My main pet peeve (lol) is the lack of pet beds. Bugger all toys as well. And omg the pets are so time consuming to take care of. I have 3 dogs IRL but honestly my Sim had to quit their job to keep the pets happy!
Yeah I just buy stuff for the build items, I literally never actually play with the sims I just build stuff. One day I might get bored and actually play in live mode and then I guess there's a whole new game waiting for me to play
I had it for a while, but to be honest, taking care of your sims is already annoying enough. It's like having another toddler, but even worse cause you don't have any control over them lmao
@@tf4g You can turn of aging for pets and even ressurrect your dead pet with a treat like you can do with sims. Cats and Dogs is great, give it a try:)
Cat's can learn a lot of tricks, and you can train them to communicate with you in your language pressing buttons (there are a lot of videos if you's to check it out).
I agree with your review . Why is it so hard for them to blend different parts of sims 2 and 3 into 4 . The game is already empty and then stuff doesn't work .
something i discovered when i reached level 5 of the pet training skill is if you go to a park you can 'show off tricks' that your dog has learned and sims will stand and watch you and give you money for your performance (however this can go on for quite a long time as i had multiple rounds of sims coming and watching)
I love the world ! I think it's great and often play in it... pets are cute, but I do agree with you about the game play and interactions being really shallow and "meh". I don't walk the dog (it takes forever, even a short walk) it's glitchy and boring... however I do love taking dogs for a run, it gets the sim's fun up sooooo quickly and is a great way to boost sim's fitness level. I always get a dog when playing rags to riches as it only costs about 5 simoleans a day to feed a dog and it's great for increasing fun, social and fitness. Also, the dogs exploring and fetching gifts such as the feathers is cool as the feathers can make nice decorations mounted on a wall and some of them sell for a lot of money 🤷♀️ However, I don't really ever get pets outside of a rags to riches as it's pretty pointless. Also, the dogs getting sick all the time is annoying so you habe to buy so many wellness treats or you'll be going backward and forward to the vets every fibe minutes 🙄 . And all the sick strays in Brindelton Bay is depressing ...
Same lmfao I love how brindleton bay looks, but all the strays makes me so sad and feel like I have to adopt all of them… I’m a huge animal lover, so I’ll hurts me heart. Also, if you take a dog for a walk, you can always cancel the action when you feel like it’s been done and then make sure you UNLEASH the dog otherwise they just stand there. Whenever my dog wants to go for a walk, I hit ‘got for short job’ and literally a second later I hit ‘unleash’ option just to satisfy the dog.
In my opinion seasons and cats and dogs are the most money making packs for EA because everyone wants to have Christmas or Easter in the dims but can't unless they have the pack and same goes for cats and dogs everyone wants to have a pet in the sims but it's completely locked behind 30 pounds and they honestly make EA the most money
Cats and dogs was the first add-on I purchased 😊It was a must have! Then I was disappointed in the objects and cas and gameplay. I had thought it would be a natural thing that if you had two dogs you'd be able to walk them both at the same time. Instead it would take you six sim hours to short walk them both separately. Not great. I'm still happy to have our furry friends in the game tho so I still consider it a good purchase. I wish we had more animals. Ones that weren't confined to cages and sheds. Coz you damn well know I got cottage living for the animals and found disappointment there too 🤣😭 Let them be FREEEE dammit! I've literally had to learn Blender to make my own snakes and when I say agony I mean it lol Snakes are the simplest shape reptile wise too. I wanna learn to do more so I can make a mod out of it with plenty of options. That means coding 🤦♀ I wanna cry just thinking about it lol. It would be nice to be able to feed them and handle them etc etc tho so... Gotta be done I guess 🤷♀
Btw about the six hour short walks, I've heard the walks are based on how big the neighborhood is, so sometimes a "short walk" takes ages because your Sim is walking around the whole neighborhood, maybe try a smaller world and see if that helps
I'm still getting it because pets were my favorite Sims feature and it's really the only expansion pack I want at the moment. I want to make my childhood dogs and have a cry about it.
Heyy I love your videos because you give your opinion without hiding it :) the Sims team should also update some of the older packs it would be nice because they are really outdated and don't have alot of gameplay and cas Thank you:)
i purchased this pack recently when there was a 50% sale (would never buy a sims pack otherwise lmao) and what i miss the most is an animal shelter - like i know you can adopt pets online but why isn't there a physical shelter like in the sims 3? 😭 correct me if i'm wrong, i haven't explored Brindleton Bay that much yet, but it would have been such an obvious addition. A pet store could have been nice too, but since rodents and such are sold separately I suppose that should come in another game pack or idk. Animal training as a skill would have only made sense if it could have been an entire career, with the possibility of opening a pet training centre. I also find it weird how the veterinary career follows the logic of owning a retail shop, but the doctor career is entirely different. I wish there was an option to be a vet (or a doctor, now we are at it) at a clinic and then open up a private practice later.
I like cats but I avoid this pack. Maybe because the family slot will be occupied, or because taking care of pets is a hassle, or.. idk. Maybe because we already have too many real cats in our home. I was a bit tempted because people said its world is beautiful.
It will never not be crazy to me that Sims 3 pets also had horses, birds, and small pets... but still managed to have less half arsed dog and cat furniture than Sims 4. Those 2D pet beds are so bad, they don't get nearly enough hate
Please don't listen to people getting upset with your reviews if they don't agree. I honestly love your unbiased views and agree with all you say (I still buy them though lol).
Most of my sims’ dogs swim all the time. Lol. I even got a dog who’s obsession is the pool. So the moment they moved into the house, he ran to the pool and jumped in. Everytime I’d look for him, he’s in the pool. Lol. Though I also got a household with two dogs who both fears the pool so they wouldn’t go in no matter how hard I tried. Haha.
I took a long break from the game because of the bugs in Pets. I wanted to play with the cross-breed genetics system, but it kept saying my dog was pregnant yet she never gave birth (1 sim + 2 dogs in family, NOT a full house). Got so frustrated with the glitches I just had to step away. I don't understand how they release stuff in this state. These are not minor issues. Also I miss horses and unicorns.
I always loved pet packs with The Sims but for Sims 4 I hardly ever make pets just because of how broken they are. They're way too high maintenance and I understand that it's a lot of work to take care of a pet in real life but they will literally not take care of themselves and it just gets overwhelming to have to constantly tell my pet to eat or do pretty much anything
i’m at 6:16 so i’m not sure if you covered it but it’s so annoying to have a neighbour household with pets and the pets constantly get sick etc. When you’re not playing the household, the pets remain sick. I have to manually make them better.
I think it's also important to distinguish pack "popularity" in the sense of "players buy it" vs popularity in the sense of "players like it." I knew from the get-go that I'd buy both this and MFPS, but I also hate so much about how it's put together and released. It's not as wide as an ocean but as deep as a puddle, nor is it super deep and focused on a few things. It's focused on a few things and extremely shallow. The single most disappointing pack for The Sims 4 imo, because of the difference between what it should be and what it is. That said, I still got it because even unanimated statues of pets would liven up the world a little for me. Awfully shallow pack and nowhere near worth the price, but a begrudging "must have" for all the wrong reasons for someone like me. And EA/Maxis know this.
Wowowo, Satch, didn't you notice they added at least two new items to the buildbuy after the release/recently?? I don't remember these two biggest cats houses/trees, there weren't there years ago!
This is an unpopular opinion, I know, but part of me rather likes that we can’t control the pets. I went back to 3 after playing 4 for a while, and I was kinda overwhelmed playing on low autonomy with the pets. In the Sims 4, I remember wondering why my dog was just staring at the fridge, or decided to wake my Sim up bc he wanted attention. You don’t know why your pet does what they do, you just work around their quirks, which is pretty realistic. It would be nice to control them, but it wasn’t the worst thing. The vet career is nice when it decides to work, but just like Dine Out there’s a lot of flaws. Brindleton Bay is my favorite world to play in, it’s really pretty, but I can’t use the Strays lot trait anymore bc seeing all the sick animals makes me want to adopt every single one of them lol
Forgot to talk about the incomplete buildings. None of them seem like they are complete, it looks like everyone is still moving in to a new house. (for me it looks like that)
For me, this pack, like so many packs, is unfortunately just: great idea, badly implemented. I was really looking forward to it beforehand, but I hardly ever use it. Once again, a lot of wasted potential...
I don’t know if anyone else gets this bug but my pets don’t sleep at night when my sims go to sleep they just stand there still doing nothing and it’s quite annoying 😢
the stray pets are a nuisance, they're just fucking everywhere. they should've implemented a dog pound career so you could work to catch the strays and put them for adoption. also, the damn pets are constantly getting sick. i just got tired of it and stopped getting pets for my households because i was tired of them always being sick for some reason, and taking them to the vet is a pain because of loading screens. i literally would put the vet's table somewhere in my house so that i could heal the pets myself, instead of having to take them to the vet all the time. and i'd always end up picking a cat over a dog because dogs were constantly crying wanting to go for walks. and whole cats could get annoying with their attention seeking, at least they would just use the litter box. wish they would've implemented that at least small dogs could also use the litter box. there'd also be plenty of times where even tho the food bowl was full, the pets would complain about being hungry. sometimes they'd literally be standing next to the full food bowl and be complaining that they're hungry. i think it must be some glitch that it'd make the pet not recognize the bowl as being full. running a vet clinic, i found it to be a pain. most of the time we just have to guess what's wrong and hope it'll work. i remember it'd often happen that i'd try to examine a pet and it'd get on the table, then get off the table, then i'd get it on the table again and it'd go off the table again, for no reason whatsoever, it was super stressed or anything, it seemed to just be glitching. the pet owners are also aholes because they're impatient little fricks. they'd just be pissed when they weren't getting attended to. like, it's not my fault it takes forever to take care of just one pet. i'd have like 5 or 6 owners there and it'd be impossible to take all their pets because half of them would leave by the time i was done fixing one pet. and the help you can get is from random npcs, so you have no control over them and they're unskilled and complain all the time about long work hours
You can buy treats from the vets in a vending machine, and one of them heals the pets. I just buy heaps of them so I don't have to keep taking them there, it does get annoying!
The weird thing is... as an adult I don't find The Sims as interesting anymore, because it's just like normal life. There's not really a point in teaching your dog tricks in real life either (and come on, how many people really sign their dogs up for dog shows), except that the real dogs seems to enjoy the mental stimulation. As a kid, I liked having pets, getting jobs or buying furniture in The Sims because I couldn't do any of that in real life. Now, I can do all of that, so what's the point in doing the same thing virtually, but without any of the real life benefits?
I love pets in sims. And I hate this pack for sims4. When there was presentation, ea goes and goes how non-controllable pets are immersive and realistically correct thing. Realistic gameplay with pets in a game with pregnant dudes from aliens. I understood it like "yap, we won't do a thing for gameplay but will gaslight you for not liking this shit".
This should be my favourite pack, I even grew up in a place very similar to brindleton bay but I was so disappointed. Those stupid bloody wall stickers... Enraging. The wasted potential.
I tried to take my girls to the ocean in Orlando once, a Bassett hound and a mini dachshund. It wasn't good, they acted like they were drawing so I never took. Them to the ocean again
the only thing that really irritates me about the pets thing is the lack of non-mammalians they had the chance to fix that with my first rip-off but fucked that up too i want all three of my cats AND my jumping spider. i'll take a tarantula in his place idec, just lemme have the option for an octokitty
In my opinion this pack is totally broken as pets fight with suqirrels every 10 seconds, including nagging message bubbles, and then they get sick from the fight all the time,. This pack is so annoying. As always with the Sims, they have to include really stupid, annoying, repetetive things instead of giving the player a nice experience.
easily one of the worst packs i’ve purchased. and i love ts3 pets including appaloosa plains so i had high hopes. brindleton bay is cute but easily one of my most forgotten worlds.
I dont know why Sims 4 packs keep giving us bb items that totally unrelated to the theme. We have sooo many sofas, beds, chairs, etc already.. just focus on the bb items for the theme, please.. This feels like a game pack. They stretch it with the world and the unrelated bb items to justify it as expansion pack. But i appreciate their effort for cross-pack compatibility, since sims 4 has so many DLC, maybe this cross-pack compatibility took a portion of the budget..
Another annoying thing with pets for me, is if you have a bush (u know the one where u can pee, sleep and woohoo at) the likelyhood of pets going there to fight varmits is too often and they get sick all the time, ugh.
I absolutely HATED (literally downloaded it last night w.o knowing 😭) but I hated how you can’t control your pets like in sims 3 pets, like you can’t even see their needs or even teach them tricks and skills or make them interact w other sims and pets like ughhhh why would they do that, sims 3 pets was so good imo, it was perfect 😭 and this feels so cheap, im glad I bought it under a discount and paid only $15 instead of $40 cause that is not worth $40 IT SUCKS
Teeny correction but the dogs actually can go in the pools! Both small and large dogs. They’ll even fetch a ball from the pool
Their swimming so so cute!
What the hell???? I tried to do it but couldn't figure out how???? How do you make pets swim, that's so cool!

Isn't it weird how the pets are more affected by the traits than the human sims are? 🤨
The Sims Team should think about this
Oh my god you’re right?!!
Yes good point
I also hate that pets take up household slots even though you can't control them. they should be an addition and not take up space
They're honestly just a decoration like the rodents tbh, only they took a slot I don't get why they did that.

What!! I thought it was just for decoration!!!?
The mouse hole comes in cats and dogs or my first pet stuff, but I didn't know the cats could chase mice! I just seen them looking at it like they're ready to pounce 😂

@@bookcat123 omg yes I forgot about that
Well, when you buy food for your dog, It's generally categorized by size like ,short , medium or tall breed.
That's a good explanation, still it bothers me a lot lol
Don't worry for your english, it's not my first language either, congrats on being both bilingual 👊
It's been awhile so not sure about recent glitches but if your SIM needs extra cash while building a relationship with their pet it's a silly-fun time.😸
😮Never seen or heard of this in all its years since release! Loading up my game now, thanks for the heads up!!
Oh and if you use the lot trait Convivial it gives you a moodlet boost to training and building a relationship with your pet.
About CAS Im happy that ea added curlier hair, since it looks more like my hair than the stuff in the base game :D
that ONE 2b/2c hair is literally my favorite thing about this pack and i use it for all of my “me” sims
Pets could get famous for a minute there but I think they fixed that bug 🙃 I had a famous pet, and it was hilarious every time I saw it sparkle lol
They also sparkle if u turn them into your familiar.
It is super sad that they exploit this pack. I’m not diehard on pets but love when they are well done. This EP just did not meet that. They seem like props.
I'm actually in the same exact boat as you! I thought about getting this pack for a while and eventually decided not to.
Something I really miss from Sims 2 is pet careers. It really made trick training useful and pets contributed to the household income.
Same!!!
There’s a mod for this! Disappointing it isn’t in the thing we paid for, but it exists somewhere at least
@@crazycat58100%. Sims four is only still alive because of modders. If there wasn’t no one would play I think
When are there offers?
I had a family with a pitbull once and she would jump in the pool all the time, so they can do it but none of my other pets did it, so maybe it depends on the dog's personality
Really? I'm surprised... I was so sure small dogs couldn't do it after testing 🤷
Yeah I have a dog in my save file that was always swimming in the pool
See none of my dogs ever did
U know how he said pets couldn’t swim in pools…
There was a dog swimming in the trailer
(That being said, the hairs were horrendous.)
I will (probably) never like a Pets expansion pack more than I like the one for Sims 3.
@@LionmaneElsie08 yeah I'm sure 😅 although if I'm being honest, I normay pick "good" traits for my sims, so maybe a bit of challenge will be nice 🤔
My main pet peeve (lol) is the lack of pet beds. Bugger all toys as well. And omg the pets are so time consuming to take care of. I have 3 dogs IRL but honestly my Sim had to quit their job to keep the pets happy!
the fact that we didn't get an outside doghouse with this EP lol.
Thanks for this review, I'm glad I didn't waste my money on this pack, I like Sims 3 pets expansion better anyway.
tbh i don’t even see why people would buy the pack if they don’t want cats & dogs.. it’s literally the whole purpose of it
Some people buy packs for buildbuy or/and CAS only
Yeah I just buy stuff for the build items, I literally never actually play with the sims I just build stuff. One day I might get bored and actually play in live mode and then I guess there's a whole new game waiting for me to play
I do not even play Sims 4 but I do enjoy watching you and Stephosims.
This is the only expansion pack I don't have. I like making massive families in the Sims, so I just don't have room for pets and it sucks lol
You’re not missing out on much.
I had it for a while, but to be honest, taking care of your sims is already annoying enough.
It's like having another toddler, but even worse cause you don't have any control over them lmao
I'm not getting it because I'd actually cry when my pet dies
@@tf4g You can turn of aging for pets and even ressurrect your dead pet with a treat like you can do with sims. Cats and Dogs is great, give it a try:)
This is the only DLC I have at all... guess we're polar opposites xD
OMG I totally guessed every single rating you gave
we are so in sync lol
i was planning on buying it next sale, now im unsure 💔
thanks for the video tho! love this❤
Have you got it? I was going to get it for the upcoming summer sale. Is it worth it do you think?
@@AutumnColoursYT no im sorry i haven’t got it but i kinda regret not buying it, hope that helps!
@@inock Thanks
@@inockhonestly. It’s worth it if it’s on sale. Again there’s not much to do with them but I kinda just like having a pet in the household
@@jaybee4288 Thank you! I hope you had a good xmas 😁
Btw about the six hour short walks, I've heard the walks are based on how big the neighborhood is, so sometimes a "short walk" takes ages because your Sim is walking around the whole neighborhood, maybe try a smaller world and see if that helps
That laser litter tray needs to exist irl tho
I’m soo glad I watched this
I got birthday money
I was gonna spend most of it on the pack qwq
I'm still getting it because pets were my favorite Sims feature and it's really the only expansion pack I want at the moment. I want to make my childhood dogs and have a cry about it.
Heyy I love your videos because you give your opinion without hiding it :) the Sims team should also update some of the older packs it would be nice because they are really outdated and don't have alot of gameplay and cas
Thank you:)
All of the packs need to be redone! I’m honestly over ea because what happened to pack refreshes??? No cross pack compatibility….. Nice video Satch
no horses, can't control your pets, 0/10
i'm too spoiled by sims 3
I’ve never even played sims 3 but I’m with you on the need for horses 🐎. It’s the only way I’d buy a pets expansion
Same here,
i purchased this pack recently when there was a 50% sale (would never buy a sims pack otherwise lmao) and what i miss the most is an animal shelter - like i know you can adopt pets online but why isn't there a physical shelter like in the sims 3?
Also with City Living installed cats can hunt mice in "Needs TLC" apartments.
Really?
I like cats but I avoid this pack. Maybe because the family slot will be occupied, or because taking care of pets is a hassle, or.. idk. Maybe because we already have too many real cats in our home. I was a bit tempted because people said its world is beautiful.
It will never not be crazy to me that Sims 3 pets also had horses, birds, and small pets... but still managed to have less half arsed dog and cat furniture than Sims 4. Those 2D pet beds are so bad, they don't get nearly enough hate
Since the human parts is bad. Can you use the humans from the other Sims games to add to the Pet Sims game?
Please don't listen to people getting upset with your reviews if they don't agree. I honestly love your unbiased views and agree with all you say (I still buy them though lol).
Most of my sims’ dogs swim all the time. Lol. I even got a dog who’s obsession is the pool. So the moment they moved into the house, he ran to the pool and jumped in. Everytime I’d look for him, he’s in the pool. Lol. Though I also got a household with two dogs who both fears the pool so they wouldn’t go in no matter how hard I tried. Haha.
I would love to see your review on Eco Lifestyle pack, it has decent gameplay and a cool off-grid feature
I don’t understand why they can make a colour wheel for the pets but not for hair colours 😢
this guys commentary is hilarious lmfao
I always loved pet packs with The Sims but for Sims 4 I hardly ever make pets just because of how broken they are. They're way too high maintenance and I understand that it's a lot of work to take care of a pet in real life but they will literally not take care of themselves and it just gets overwhelming to have to constantly tell my pet to eat or do pretty much anything
girl i knew u were going to draw that
The cat running back to the house over and over made me giggle
As a person who only builds (ok sometimes does cutsceanes) i really like this pack. Since i gave up on the sims 4 gameplay yesh
i’m at 6:16 so i’m not sure if you covered it but it’s so annoying to have a neighbour household with pets and the pets constantly get sick etc.
The weenie on the cat I diedddd
This one is great, if you import the 'play your pets' game modification.
The fact that I played Sims 4 for over a year without any packs or any mods or any custom content says a lot about me
I think the graveyard's a reference to Stephen King's Pet Sematary
If your going to do a pet's pack, just focus on the pets only. There is so much they could have done.
I love it when we was able to control the pets
Next time on Brutally Honest Reviews, My First Pet Stuff. 🤣
I just bought this pack, I was hoping to see a cat wheel to exercise on
The weird thing is... as an adult I don't find The Sims as interesting anymore, because it's just like normal life.
I still miss being able to play as the pet. I can’t express my disappointment of finding out you couldn’t play as the pet in sims 4 😩
Its good that finally sims is getting some competition. Maybe they will actually take care in making the game and not take all your money in packs!
In sims 3 i had a small zoo inside my house. brids lizards insects and migical horse. And snakes
Cool!!!
i don't get why they inluded the color wheel only for pets
I tried to take my girls to the ocean in Orlando once, a Bassett hound and a mini dachshund. It wasn't good, they acted like they were drawing so I never took. Them to the ocean again
You LOVE saying pack!
Wait, I've had the cats and dogs pack since it's release. HOW DID I NOT KNOW THERE WAS A GRAVEYARD AT THE LIGHTHOUSE?????
This is on sale for £13.99 I’m going to get it after this review I can’t believe how much they are full price same with seasons 😂
pets can get missing! It was pretty realistic tbh
Wow, you got pets to interact with the cottage living animals? that didn't happen for me so good on you!
When they first announced Cats & Dogs, it Was as a Game Pack...
the only thing that really irritates me about the pets thing is the lack of non-mammalians
they had the chance to fix that with my first rip-off but fucked that up too
i want all three of my cats AND my jumping spider. i'll take a tarantula in his place idec, just lemme have the option for an octokitty
This could have been a game pack. It's just dogs & cats, not more animals. The fox and the hound reference is cute tho
4:53 "you can now wahoo in the white house"
*Me when I actually like the CAS things*
