- When we first rented this airbnb we were all excited, but the place has problem after problem some of which are our fault. I hope the owner doesnt ban us from their place because we had an overall positive experience, and the broken parts of the home should have been looked into before we came. That being said escaping new york city for a relaxing weekend in the country was a great idea and i cant wait to do this again, but now we have to drive back tor new york city and come back to NYC. Thats going to be fun.

You’re a good husband and dad. It’s so nice to see the way you take care of your family. Loading the car, going to allllll the stores despite being visibly exhausted , and of course, turning all the lights out at night and locking up at night to keep everyone safe. Good job!

Yes! I used to try to do that when I could. Also, take the day before the vacation off. Less stressful. You can make sure everything is ready and get some sleep before you head off.

I lived in Astoria in the early 80's. It was a food lover's paradise with more deli's and bakeries per square block than anywhere else. The butcher shops and fish markets were legendary, along with the fruit and vegetable stands. There was a shop, no bigger than a walk-in closet that only sold eggs!

The airbnb did look a bit hard done by. The owner could do some upgrades in the off season. Charging $800/night, they could afford it. $24,000 invested would make it much nicer. Then they'd probably charge $1000/night! It's ironic how exhausting vacations actually are. Violet seemed to have fun so that's what matters.
Memories, that's so important for kids to have. It's sad when you can look back and there's no good Memories. Violet will have many great ones!

I can't believe they charge 800 a night especially with that death trap of a kids play set. I would be embarrassed to charge people for that rundown house.

Such a wonderful grocery store, loved the bakery. If you have a flat, get some anti flat spray and squirt it in the end of filing the tire. It will hold longer. Work. Work. Work.

Having a lawn like that would require you to get a riding mower which would cost you $1500 - $3000. A house is nice if you have kids for sure. But there is maintenance to keep up with and unforeseen things that can break. I have a house dating back to 1938 so I am familiar with that problem! :) By the time I die of old age my house with have most of its systems totally updated.
The owner of the AirBnB should have a plumber on retainer for situations where a toilet gets stopped up or the water lines get clogged probably with lime over the years. Periodic maintenance is ALWAYS better than letting a car or building deteriorate over time.

So enjoyed your vacation. Thanks for filming it. In Ohio we have air machines at gas stations that charge about $1.50 and work pretty well. 😍 Maybe next time, ask the rental place to check the psi before you go.
In Sweden they are at every gas station and the air is free. I took it for granted and thought that was the case all over the world.

Cash why not stop at a Gas/Service station and put air in the tire?
I'm not sure why the tire is such a situation for him, either put air in to increase the pressure OR change the tire. Get the directions on line!
He's probably just worried because it's not his car, he doesn't drive that often, and he said that he isn't really a handy kind of person.

I think he did. When you first see the psi gauge in the car it said 30psi. The second time it said 36 psi. It’s VERY possible I’m wrong though. Lol

I always watch your videos even though I'm sure I'll never get to New York. Your vacation looked like a lot of fun and good food. I noticed your daughter was stacking peanut butter in one of my favorite grocery stores. I watched until the end when you were in the fridge. I think we all need cameras in our fridge.
I was born and raised not far from bear Mountain. I lived in Peekskill and courtland mannor. Temp change will do that to tires. Happened when we drove to Oceanside from Vegas. Lucky cars are smart and will tell you what’s up.

I loved this video 🙂. I'm very risk averse so may I recommend using the rental car's road side assistance which should be included free with the rental. If Budget doesn't offer that may I recommend using Hertz. If you have credit cards some offer roadside assistance if you use their card to rent the vehicle. Just a couple of recs for next time. I drive normally so I have AAA which automatically covers me. Also tire stores are usually pretty nice and will check your ties free and change it for cheap.🙂

Why didn't you put air in the tire? Most gas stations have air pumps for that reason.

I have to comment on this video, Cash at the end of the day, you looked exhausted because of all the stress. I was thinking you probably could have put air in the tire. I also don’t really like those bubbles in the bubble tea so I replace them with some sort of jell that burst in your mouth, it’s really good. I also don’t like that green mocha thing either. I think we have the same taste buds, but instead of eating that huge custard pastry, I would have gone for the strawberry shortcake, but it seems like you still enjoyed it. Glad you and the family got back home safely.
