    I think people doesn’t get it. One thing is to be more talented, Rodgers is more talented than Brady. Other thing is to be a better player, Brady is a better player. I think their careers made that clear, if you search for Rodgers highlights you may found better throws, more flashy plays, Haily Marys. Brady’s highlights are less flashy, more rhythm thrower, tons of legendary comebacks and throws in the big moments (playoff, Super Bowl) If you see Rodgers play against the Seahawks and The Falcons in the 2014, 2016 NFC championship and then see Brady performance against the same teams in the Super Bowl the comparison is ridiculous.

      Martel Porter hes tied with Daryle Lomonica with 6 touchdowns in a half in 1969. Daryle did it with only 17 attempts as well.
      Also he is tied with Peyton Manning with 16 70+ yard touchdown passes.
      But Tom Brady is the ONLY player to throw 5 touchdowns in a single quarter.

    Everyone is talking about how Rodgers has the arm talent, because it's so obvious, but doesn't mention the things you can't see. Brady gets more out of players than Rodgers ever will. Edelman was an ex Kent State QB drafted in the 7th round. Welker was undrafted and on three different practice squads. Hogan was playing lacrosse at Monmouth. Aside from Moss and Gronk, Brady hasn't had elite receivers around him. Bradys will to win, his clutch factor, his drive, his work ethic, his energy at the start of games, and calmness at the end of them, are what make him great. Some people are just born to be winners no matter what, and they're very few of them. Brady elevates the play of his team around him. Give Rodgers the cast offs and misfit players Brady has worked with, and he isn't nearly as successful. And when Brady does have Moss or Gronk, he sets records. And I don't want to hear how Rodgers doesn't have a defense, because Brady got to two Superbowls with the 30th ranked defense. Brady wins no matter what team he has.

      Martel Porter Brady makes everyone better not by throwing but by is work ethic like Jordan he puts that pressure on you to be a perfectionist meticulous Japanese freak 😂 . Rogers complain or put a belt around him like a world champ wwe. That my friend is why he can have all the talent in the world but never be better then Brady. A lot came and went but Brady remains and will forever until someone gets that drive like him. He use the most important skill set of them all the brain since he didn’t have the body like rogers. Rogers rely on his body and not his brains like tom. It’s chess not checkers. Debate all you want but Brady don’t have to get outside the pocket with mediocre oline because those oline will protect Brady with theirs lives because they know he will win the game. Rogers think it’s all him Brady thinks it’s all team and staff . Brady yes and bill implemented a culture of perfectionist either good or bad it work for decades. It’s all about mindset and how you maximize your potential. Rogers doesn’t he can but doesn’t. Brady go to the extreme just like Kobe even to the point of excluding is family it’s a drive that some have and some don’t and that my friend is a big difference. Ppl are scared of Brady not rogers when Brady gets the ball in 4th you can actually see the pressure in the defense eyes , rogers they just know he will make a mistake and force it Brady they know they have to be perfect and lucky to stop him. Remember always HARD WORK BEATS TALENT ALL THE TIME. 😁👍 feel free to agree or disagree.

And those are just the active players. There are 65 retired QBs with more than Rodgers too.

  • @CSmoothh

    If we are talking about talent and ability then there are many qbs better than Brady. But Brady plays the position the best. Ex. Since Brady knows he can't scramble as well as other qbs he puts more emphasis on check downs, timing, pocket mobility, hot routes, throwing the ball away, etc. That 5 or 10 yd plus that another qb can get with his legs Brady gets that same result with knowing his protection, being mobile in the pocket and checking down to that slot or rb who can get those yds better than he could. The results are the same; forward progress, 1st down, touchdown or If all else fails and Brady throws it away he'll live to see another play. Brady does these things better than any qb in the league. Execution is the name of the game. There are many wide recievers in the history of the NFL that are faster, quicker, and stronger than Jerry Rice but none of them executed the position at the level he did. That simple

    • @Thaulin
      @Thaulin 5 лет назад +2

      Yep same with AB and LeVeon Bell right now. Both not the fastest in their position but still best players. Somehow people get so caught up in highlight plays and stats they forget it's about WINNING

    • @massachusettssportscentral9444
      @massachusettssportscentral9444 5 лет назад +4

      Actually looking at AB is a very good analogy right now.
      Listening to all the talking heads in the off season you get a lot of the "Who's the best WR?" conversations. Nuk slips in as does OBJ sometimes but it usually comes down to Julio and AB.
      Almost everyone will give you that AB has mostly out performed Julio (even if only slightly most of the time) but they always come back to how Julio checks all the boxes if you were going to just create your perfect WR while AB was a 6th round pick (2nd best 6th round pick ever?) and is kinda small.
      But most likely he will go out and get a few more yards than Julio and triple him up in TDs.
      Rodgers is Julio - Looks better and checks more boxes while being highly productive while Brady is AB - the guy who wasn't supposed to be this great and physically doesn't compute but is just the more productive guy when you actually play the games.

    • @Thaulin
      @Thaulin 5 лет назад +4

      Exacltly. People love physical freaks like Julio or Megatron because they could never be that guy. Guys like Brady and AB show you all the potential you wasted because you didn't work hard enough.
      Still Brady is VERY talented, one of the best arms in football, amazing accuracy, very mobile in the pocket and durable. Guys on these shows talk about him like he's some unathletic shmuck sometimes which is laughable.

      313 JMO bruh Football is a lot different. QBs don't even touch the field for half of the game. Football is Waaaaaaay more of a team sport. Bradys had 14 top 10 scoring defenses in his Career. I believe Rodgers has had 3 or 4. Rodger's defense has given up as many 30+ point games in the playoffs as Bradys teams.... Bradys played more than double the amount of playoff games.

      AVI accomplishment wise Kareem abdull jabbar is the GOAT. He has more MVPs, same amount of rings, more finals appearances, more of every stat then both MJ and LBJ. We don’t use accomplishments in the NBA as the deciding factor because we need context. Lebron has won 4 MVPs in the most talented era the league has ever seen. Kobe won a single MVP in the same era does that not prove and show how insane Lebron is? To play in the same era as Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, Durant, Steph. And to have 2-3 more MVPs and be far and wide the best player in the world with all of those guys. Lebron is the greatest individual basketball player ever. Best all around player ever. Just put together the single best individual playoff run in nba history. Averaged 35/9/9 on 54% from round 1 to the finals. With multiple buzzer beaters to save his team. Won 2 game 7s. No one had ever beat Boston in a game 7 at the garden since the 80s....

      313 JMO yeah Brady went to 1 SB w/o a top 10 Defence and he lost he wouldn't have even made that SB if Billy Cundiff wasn't one of the biggest chokers in nfl History.... Rodgers has way more time to reach a SB than LBJ does to win more rings and TB only has 2 rings in the last 13 years. He had the best defence in the league and the clutchest kicker in NFL history to help him win him 3 SBs. Tom Bradys passer rating was barely at 90 when he won those first 3 rings lol. Pre 2005 Tom and Post 2005 tom are much different QBs.

There is a reason even this year PFF had him as the 3rd best QB this year.

    Absolutely no idea why the obsession with Rodgers. Wait until he’s in his twilight years then compare him to the QB goat. Belichick is a defensive guy so that’s a poor argument for how Brady plays as a QB. I wouldn’t even put Rodgers in same conversation as Montana, let alone Brady...

    • @rmh941
      @rmh941 5 лет назад +3

      Belichick couldn't even develop a QB. Mike McCarthy developed Rodgers. Brady had personal coaches that worked on his mechanics. Garrapola and Cassell were just talented QBs coming out of draft. Bill can draft and coach a defense, he can't develop a Qb tho

    • @yawgmoth6568
      @yawgmoth6568 3 года назад

      People always talk about the huge advantage having Belichick as a coach makes but never ever cite actual examples of what he does. Obviously he's a great coach but it certainly is a poor argument for why Brady might not be the GOAT. People also act like the Patriots defense is top 5 every year. I remember when Brady and the offense dragged a bottom 3 defense in the entire league to a Super Bowl. I remember when he dragged a defense that while ranking highly in points allowed (or it might've been in red zone conversion rate I forget) was middle of the pack at best and got completely exposed in the Super Bowl against the Eagles. I remember when the defense bled like a sieve against the Jets, Broncos, Chiefs, Ravens, Jaguards etc. etc. Yet the Patriots still made it deep into the playoffs simply because Tom's prowess at playing QB kept the Patriots in games even when their defense couldn't stop a group of fourth graders even if they had grenade launchers.

    Brady is a better pre-snap defense reader and better post-snap reader. As a result, brady gets them in a better play pre-snap than rodgers. As a result, Brady doesn't have to bail out of a play like Rodgers. Because Rodgers has superior physical talent, I think he robs HIMSELF of improving in the strategy part of the game and bails out too early even when there is very little, to no pressure. You won't see him snap throw nearly as much as he could. Watch a game closely to look at how many times he doesn't throw to quickly open WRs, but will wait, then bail. Brady excels in every situation (rodgers does in most). old offense, new offense, good oline, no oline, good offensive weapons, no offensive weapons, against great offenses, bad offenses, inside domes, outside cold weather. BIG games.
    It sounds like I'm downing Rodgers, but I'm not. It's as close to a toss-up as can be. I wouldn't be disappointed in getting either one of them over the other. These two are clearly head and shoulders better than everyone else.

    Even as a fan of a team who lost to him in the SB, I’m taking Brady. Rodgers is great moving out of the pocket but I think Brady is better moving with in the pocket to extend plays in a less flashy way. His performances against the legion of boom in the 4th quarter was magnificent, his 2nd half against ATL was just ridiculous and by all accounts Brady is a better leader which accounts for something. You can say Rodgers has better numbers all time but Brady was more of a game manager when he came into the league so his numbers won’t stand out as much. You can say Rodgers was never a game manager so that makes him better, but Rodgers wasn’t even playing when got drafted. GB worked with him a lot when he was young to help make him the QB he is now.

      The common script is that Rodgers plays mediocre and the defense gives up enough points that it is hard to win. Without any real pressure Rodgers plays great and gets it kinda close again but is rarely ever able to finish it be it they were just to far behind or the defense does give up another score at some point.

  • @massachusettssportscentral9444

    Brady just finished his age 40 season.
    Rodgers is 34 so has 6 seasons to reach that age.
    If Rodgers goes 16-0 in all 6 of those seasons... He will still be 6 wins behind Brady right now.
    Let's say in those 6 seasons he goes to all 6 Super Bowls and wins 4 of them.
    He will TIE Brady with 5 SB Wins.
    Will trail Brady by 1 SB appearance.
    His total of 9 Conference Championship games will be 3 less than Brady.
    By going 16-2 (Those 16 wins alone ties Montana for 2nd most playoff wins) his total 25 playoff wins will still be 2 less than Brady.
    For those that feel winning footballs games is less important than how a guy performs on your fantasy team...
    If Rodgers matches his seasonal averages for his 8 full seasons as a starter (so taking out 2013 and 2017) he will still be well behind Brady in completions and yardage, but would catch him in TDs.
    This is if Brady never plays again and Rodgers has no regression from 35-40 from his 25-34 peak seasons.
    Rodgers is Great but Brady is the GOAT.

    If you're measuring the physical traits, it's Aaron Rodgers hands down - end of debate. But it's not all physical. It's the performance under pressure, the comebacks, the leadership, the decision making, all the intangibles that separate the great from the good and great from the all-timers. Joe Montana was not the most physically gifted player of his era - it was either Elway or Steve Young but he was regarded as the best until Brady challenged it. The best WR of all time is not the most physically gifted. Randy Moss, TO, and even less accomplished WR are more physically gifted than Jerry Rice, but he's the best to do it at his position. Dominique Wilkins, a HoFer, is hands down more physically gifted than Larry Bird. But you wouldn't put him in the same class.
    Until Rodgers add more to his resume, the G.O.A.T discussion is centered around Brady, Montana, Unitas and Manning.

    Let’s go back to 2011. Both players were coming off amazing seasons. Brady scored the MVP, but sadly lost to Mark Sanchez and the Jets in a one-possession game. Things happen. Rodgers takes an unlikely bunch with an overachieving defense through the NFC and wins the SB. Rodgers had the better year overall, but this year is a new year. Both players have literal bottom-of-the-barrel shitstain defenses. Rodgers wins MVP, looking to repeat his stardom success of last year with a record of 15-1 and...loses to the Giants in a blowout. The Giants later beat the Pats, however not before Brady led the team to the first seed AND a SB appearance/near victory. Rodgers’ ship sailed in 2011 as far as I’m concerned.

    It's Brady, Rodgers, and BREES, and then everyone else in the league.
    Rodgers and Brees are on the exact same level, Brady is alone at the top. Reason being - when you're down by 14 in the 4th quarter, there's a feeling that if Rodgers and Brees are playing, then you have a 40% chance of coming back. If it's Brady, you feel like there's a 70% chance of coming back. In the playoffs? You can just forget it. 4th quarter post season play, Brady's 5 or 6 TIMES better than anyone who's ever stepped on a football field.

      How so? Tom doesnt have the ability to move around Rodgers to buy more time to escape pressure, With that Tom knows he needs to make the right read right away and get the ball out with pressure in his face most of the time. Rodgers tends to tuck the ball, Roll out to buy time and wait for a receiver to create seperation. Its hard for any defense to cover anybody past 3-5 seconds so when Rodgers is able to scramble to buy 7-10 seconds its usually a wide open WR or TE.

      Rings are a factor, but they aren't the ONLY factor. They are the tie breaker. Obviously some common sense needs to be applied, how much did the QB contribute to getting the ring on his finger. I'd argue Peyton's last ring had little to due with Peyton, regardless of the fact that he's an incredible QB who's had an amazing career.
      Rodgers is very good, but there are areas he lacks in. He isn't a great leader, he's off-putting, people don't always respond well to him, and he doesn't elevate the people around him like Brady does.

    • @tsmellsdude476
      @tsmellsdude476 5 лет назад

      Um, what's the final hurdle? How many times has Aaron Rodgers thrown for 5,000 yards? The reason both QBs are at 1 super bowl a piece is strictly because their defenses are usually terrible. The only year Brees had a half decent defense, he won the big game -- and they weren't good, just terrific at forcing turnovers. Green Bay still had a very good Charles Woodson and elite Clay Matthews when they won their super bowl in 2010.
      Drew Brees is so underrated it HURTS.

    Rodgers isn't on the level of Brady other than he can throw good. Bree's is more accurate and has better numbers, Brady has all the stats wins and comebacks he's clutch. Rodgers highlights are Hail Marys which is more the receiver making a play than the QB. Lots of qbs can make the throws.

The only stats that matter are Ws and Ls and Brady crushes everyone who ever lived in them.
