Katy, just wow. WOW. I have to tell you that I am emotionally spent by the work involved with that wallpaper. Epic angst right there. But it turned out to be fabulous! As for that rug, I’m in love. I have a feeling that rug could possibly change my life. You did beautiful work in that room!
I think I need to start a trauma-informed therapy group for everyone who witnessed this (including me)! Rug is linked in the description! Funny, my boyfriend loved the rug too, and it is NOT his vibe usually. But it’s SOOOO pretty.
I have to believe blacking out the top of the neon sign, then showing it not blacked out, and then blacking it out again was ... part of the plan all along. Ha. ;-)

Omg Katy! You’re my favorite diyer! Love how it all came together and I’m not even a fan of Memphis style! 😂 one tiny tip: magic eraser. They have it at the dollar stores. Certain people streaked my newly painted moving furniture and it really worked!😘
I know it’s not for everyone, so that means a lot! Would have totally hit it with the magic eraser, but the walls were gray and I knew it would actually sand off the paint. (I learned the hard way long ago that it works so well because it’s the finest-grade sandpaper 😭). But I live for a magic eraser otherwise. 😂

Haha! I have that exact same rug in my bedroom and I was going to cover my headboard with black & white striped material but I thought that was too boring so I covered it in navy fabric that has pretty pink Galahs flying all over it :-)

Magic Erasers are your friend...it shouldn’t burnish the paint in the wall.
I do love them, but from my understanding they basically work as incredibly fine grade sandpaper. In my experience, unless it’s a white wall, they do take paint color off. Have learned the hard way. 😭
