I've been thinking about picking up an E39 M5 and have wondered what this process is like on the S62, figuring a VANOS service may be necessary. I did the identical process on the S54 in my Z4M, and didn't worry about a "sweet tooth" either. Important to know how the VANOS system actually works and then it becomes obvious that the sweet spot stuff is malarky. Nice to know the process is largely the same, Thanks!!
