Dr. Gill, while this video is great as an OSCE exam, I would love a long-format video where you take the time to explain what you are looking and palpating for during each step. For example, why palpate the epicondyle? Is this a location prone tendon or ligament pain? If so, what are the common causes? …that sort of thing.
Watching this with Netflix in the background. Had an absolute brain melt and started hearing your voice twice. Look up to see you on The Island with Bear Grylls , I was confused for a good 15 minutes 😂
Would actually like to see some of the patients have some of the problems you might expect in such an inspection…Not that I want anybody to have health problems it would just be informative to see what the negative diagnosis would be based on…Also I listen to three men in a boat every night just random chapters. peace be well
Unfortunately it’s a bit of a mine field - maybe in the fullness of time, but it would only be from EXPLICIT volunteers and even then, there would likely be an unreasonable level of paperwork
@@DrJamesGill Maybe with a bit of coaching and some loose scripting your usual volunteers could roleplay some ailments. Perhaps a soft voice-over describing the possible causes as each symptom is encountered.
I love watching these videos and seemingly hearing silence in the movements as apposed to the cracking and popping that my body makes during them 😂😂😂, hereditary joint problems are so much fun, lol! Just kidding mine don’t actually crack and pop that badly/loudly thankfully but they’ve done it my entire life that it feels that way in comparison. Great video!
This is crazy i hurt my elbow few weeks ago I keep saying to myself maybe I should get it checked out as im having alot of problems with it. Then bang a video like this pops up.
Having seen this video a few times, I just noticed that her right arm (our left) seems lower in all tests than her other arm, except when she rotates her arms out (directly after standing up). Looking at her shoulders, they also don't seem straight. Does she have scoliosis maybe?
Hi Dr Gill, I fractured my elbow (radial head fracture) in 2021 but it’s been 4 years and I still feel pain. I’ve tried so many times to inform my GP about this and they still refer me to physio. I’m a 24 year old guy who is very active and do not really need physio. I just want my elbow to improve because every now and then, my elbow clicks multiple times in a day, I can’t even carry my baby for too long with my right arm. Please help
@@DrJamesGill your content is always first rate. I first came to you from the ASMR community but as a chiropractor who does lots of physical exams I really appreciate your examination videos for their content. Thank you very much
Hello ☺️ I’ve had my blood results through and my iron, folate and vitamin D levels are low, but also my serum alkaline phosphatase level is 187 u/L? Is this something to be concerned about please? Have to wait until mid next week for a doctors appointment
Unfortunately this isn’t really the forum to answer a question like that. But I would say, is that i) you know the result, and ii) you’ve an appointment booked in a while to discuss it. If there is something I’m worried about, I call the patient same day, or as soon as I can So you can be slightly reassured by that 😊
The peak of the "most replayed" contour on the video timeline betrays the mindset of a certain demographic of viewers. Elbows might not have been the primary consideration at that particular moment within the video.
Dr. Gill, I’d like for you to check a problem I’m having with my right leg. Doctors here are lazily calling it sciatica, but it’s definitely not. I also wouldn’t mind being recorded for the video.
This, the joints series, is more interesting than I anticipated... By the way to my eyes, your new assistant resembles Rose, one of Dr who companions...
@@DrJamesGill yeah it was, though at the same time I had also broke my ankle in three places! Did get some pyshio to help. I don't get too much bother with it now. Do recall a nurse at the time thinking the massive bruise I had from the wrist to my armpit was part of my tattoo 😂
My beloved Doctor. I need a patient who yells because it hurts. If you examine people in perfect shape I won’t understand the point of those examinations. Get actors!
Oh my gosh, she is so lucky. She got to listen to his voice in person while he performs his examination. Dr. Gill heals people with his voice alone.
One day we'll find out who it is that has been asking Dr. Gill to perform all these examinations.
It's us, silly

Are you going to follow up with a deep dive video for the elbow? The knee one was super interesting
Yes. I need to do videos on anatomy of the hip and the shoulder too
I concur. Every bit of her movements hurt me. It be great to have someone with actual issues be examined. Just a thought, love your channel.
Megan is a lovely model. Just saying.
If Elbows Didn't Bend...
They would have no point!
Keep up the good work Dr Gill!
Would love to see a deep dive of the elbow!
I mean, they would have a very tiny point still, but that ruins the pun
That's awful...therefore it made me laugh. Keep up the good work!
we’ll have a deep dive in a few weeks 😊
I can see he puts a lot of *elbow grease* when doing these videos

Go on… take a (el)bow!
The legend is back! Ok maybe you never ‘left’. But I’m back…watching your videos! Smooth as ever, Doc!
Best if all, this table remained intact…. Can’t wait for the deep dive.
Always interesting and informative but the best feeling is the extreme relax those videos give me
Thank You
The ASMR is strong with Gill....😎
Dr Gill always hits the ASMR target 🎯 with his best elBow and marrow technique
She seems more comfortable on camera good for Megan! Less chaotic but I kinda liked it
Great video! Would be good to add a twist onto a future video if you get the newly qualified Dr Abbie to examine you Dr Gill!
Your voice is very calming

Now a word from our sponsors- Purell!
Nice information
We all love his videos but it would be ideal if they were over 15 minutes. These are brilliant but too short.
I'm always waiting for someone to say "OUCH!" when he's pressing on something, lol. But no one ever does.
Can anyone guess what the most replayed part of the video is?

Nope. I wish!
