- This is a detailed explanation of the Neurological Examination of the Limbs illustrating technique and patient interaction.
The film was produced by practising clinicians to aid the teaching of clinical examination skills. It starts at the point when the clinician has finished taking the medical history and begins the clinical examination.

As someone who goes to the neurologist constantly for seizures and limb issues, a video like this is very interesting. Reminds me of the tests I have to get done a lot. However, mine aren't as thorough though! lol

Only thing different we have taught in our college is asked to close eyes while testing sensation
Exactly! It's gets sort of comedic when the patient is actually answering with affirmation BEFORE the doctor even tests for sensation sometimes! He goes "yep" before he's given the stimulus. Wouldn't happen if he closed his eyes.

“Let me examine u more closely” .. then causally steps back
The strength test can give a false result. If the patient is considerably stronger or weaker then you you will not be able to accurately determine loss of strength. A bodybuilder that is 10 times stronger than you may have lost half her strength, but are still five times stronger than you. Conversely an elderly patient who has no loss of strength may still appear to have lost strength when in fact they didn't.
That's why you pump old people full of steroids smh
