    The Eat More Plants Official Chana Masala🍃🍃🍃
    4-5 tbsp Oil
    2 heaping tsp Cumin Seeds
    3-4 Green Cardamom, smashed to release flavor
    2 Bay Leaves
    1 Cinnamon Stick
    1 1/2 cups Onions, chopped
    0-2 Green Chili's, sliced (depending on spice preference, I used 1 Jalapeno and I really like the spice)
    4 tbsp Garlic, minced
    2 tbsp Ginger, minced
    1 1/2 cup Tomatoes, finely chopped or 1 1/2 tbsp Tomato Paste
    1 tsp Turmeric Powder
    1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
    2 tsp Coriander Powder
    1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
    1/2 tsp Dry Mango Powder
    1/2 tsp Garam Masala
    1/2 tsp Black Salt
    1 tsp Salt, then salt to taste
    1/2 tsp Black Pepper
    3 1/4 cups Water
    3 cups Chickpeas, cooked (if using canned, it's 2 cans)
    1/3 cup Cilantro, chopped
    1/2 large Lime, juiced
    taste and adjust seasoning to your liking. garnish with thinly sliced onion and green chili, lime, and cilantro.
    note: after adding the chickpeas, make sure to bring to a boil then reduce heat to right above low for about 30-40 minutes stirring occasionally.
    Indian-Style Rice🍃🍃🍃
    2 cups White Basmati Rice
    2 cups Water
    1 tsp Turmeric Powder
    1 tsp Cumin Seeds
    1 small Cinnamon Stick
    3 Green Cardomom, smashed to release flavor
    3 Cloves
    2 tsp Salt
