When black widow came out I really loved her, but after hawkeye I am obsessed with her, she is my favourite phase 4 character.

man... she was a joy to watch in "black widow" but in this episode.... i absolutely fell in love with her. hearts fluttered. man, florence pugh just owned that scene. i really hope yelena doesn't kill clint. she needs to meet his kids and know how much their aunt natasha meant to them and she can become the new aunt. plus, "black widow and hawkeye" is the film we need in the future. yelena and kate kicking ass while drinking cosmos and going shopping.

That whole scene Kate knew she was the mouse and Yelena was the cat. First time I saw her unable to quickly recover and bounce back. Cannot wait for more Yelena scenes and she’s gonna be a FORCE in the coming phases
That and that she's trying to understand how hilariously weird is Yelena.
I love that the entire time it feels like Yelena is forcing her laughter a bit, if only to cover up the pure malicious vengeance she feels to kill Clint. She's in full Hunter mode, she's just putting on airs for Kate. That's just my read of the scene anyways
@@bigboydotcool I mean, I think there’s an element of Yelena actually liking Kate and she did attach a wire to Kate as she threw her off a roof. So while Yelena is focused on the mission and a lot of this scene is focused on that, there’s still an element of friendship. Yelena is excited to be in NYC and does want to see everything. It’s Yelena she can be a kid and a killer at the same time

Florence is such a natural. That humour, the Rusian accent, and the attitude... I really like what she brings to the MCU.
Florence ain't acting there. She's just herself.
Hate to break it tou you, but as a Russian, there's honestly nothing natural about her, she's basically a walking stereotype. No one here speaks English with such cringy accent, so you don't expect to hear this from a super agent / spy that she is. This jolly/funny attitude is also kinda off, I'd understand it if she was one of those Russian girls who travel abroad for shopping, clubbing and all that shit, but with Yelena it just doesn't make any sense, just a typical Marvel logic like "let's just make a stereotypical character, she is Russian, so let her be quirky and funny and sexy girl with exaggerated accent and call it a day".
Natasha was far more natural and much less forced, I'd even say no forced at all, but, well, rest in pepperonies. Yelena is a complete opposite. But I guess to each his own, at least you like her.

If she's the new Black Widow for the Avengers, I like it. She's got a whole other energy over Johansson. Very likable but still intimidating.

Back in 2012 Scarlett had that sexy assasin energy to the role, but Yelena is totally different.
Scarlett's BW was not so intimidating, she was deadly efficient and slick. Her darkness was surpressed and she did the jobs needed. Florence's BW/Yalena has a different feel, much darker and more on the surface. She makes you think you should not get too comfortable or push any buttons or you will have a fight on your hands if you go the wrong way.

but i hope they remove her russian accent, its tiring hearing her talking because the accent make her talk so slow. But yeah her "bubbly" acting is a fresh air. One of my favourite new MCU character

i dont usually get enthralled by fictional characters, but she’s an exception.
The fact that Yelena in the mcu is the same age/possibly older than Wanda seems impossible and is yet 100% true
Edit : please don’t start a war in the comments 😅 and to settle any arguments, Yelena was born in 1988 or 1989, Wanda was born in 1989 and they were both snapped, meaning they should both be around 29 (if my math is right) when snapped back in 2023

@@cibeles_rt Even weirder - Florence Pugh is much closer in age to Hailee Steinfeld than she is to Elizabeth Olsen. Pugh and Steinfeld were both born in 1996 (Florence is 11 months older than Hailee), but Elizabeth Olsen was born in 1989 and is ~7 years older than both of them.
To be fair, they didn’t age 5 years because of the snap so biologically they have the age they had in 2018 plus 1 year because Hawkeye take place in 2024.
Technically Wanda and Yelena are 35 years old but biologically they are 30.

When I watched this episode for the first time, I literally had to rewind "Hi!!!!" at least four or five times. She's so stinkin adorable! Yelena has easily become one of my favorite MCU characters.

Honestly though, she only seems adorable and bubbly specifically because **we're** not the ones sitting across the table being stared down, talked down, intimidated, and interrogated by a black widow. I'm glad Hailee somehow managed to pull off the "hostage" vibes while Florence was just hammering it in that Yelena deliberately chose NOT to kill her on the roof AND on the way to her own apartment door.

Like baby, she’s a Russian Assassin, with Nat dead she’s probably now the best assassin in the world. She was raised and trained in the Red Room. She was a massive part of taking down the Red Room. Plus her kill count is in the hundreds, possibly even thousands considering she avalanched a prison and blew up the entire Red Room. You do not stand a chance against her
