Thank you for this straight forward tour. I noticed that it went from fewer layers in the denim to the thicker area with little problem. Mine can't even go thru my labels very well!! Wish I could afford that workhorse! Maybe some day? LOL
What kind of thread do you use for the Janome HD9? I ordered my hd9 but I want to buy thread for it but trying to find out what kind of thread people use for this machine 😊
It really depends on what kind of sewing you're going to be doing with the machine. The HD9 can handle pretty much any machine sewing thread on the market nowadays. Its telescoping thread stand even handles metallic threads reasonably well.
Here is a link to the instruction book. It has a diagram of what all the buttons and knobs are for www.janome.com/siteassets/products/machines/sewing/hd9-professional/extranet/inst-book-hd9.pdf
Yes, this machine works great on heavy materials. Stop by your local dealer to test drive it and see for yourself to ensure it will do what you need it to.
Absolutely! With the HD9 you can custom set both the needle and the bobbin tensions so beautiful stitches can be achieved no matter the weight of thread that you choose to work with.
I have a Husqvarna Mega Quilter - it looks to be identical to this machine... is it now this Janome machine? I purchased my machine around 2005/6 and I LOVE it! Thank you!
The Janome HD 9 machines are something that can only be sold by a dealer in their local area. If you are in Washington State give us a call for pricing 1-800-687-5175. Otherwise you will need to reach out to your local Janome dealer.
It does come with a knee lifter. You can learn more about what comes with the HD9 here www.qualitysewing.com/janome-hd9-professional-sewing-and-quilting-machine.html

Hey, Can i use 60 weight bobbin thread? 40 weight thread for sewing? Just sewing in some neck tags. Thank you in advance.
Absolutely! With the HD9 you can custom set both the needle and the bobbin tensions so beautiful stitches can be achieved no matter the weight of thread that you choose to work with.
@@QualitySewingWA Thank you‼
I came here to see the larger bobbin that another video mentioned. Is this not true? I think you would have mentioned it if so....
It does have a larger bobbin. It is in between a size M and Class 15.
can i use the same type thread (the same strength) that i would use on an industrial sewing machine ?
As log as you are using the right needle for the thread you should be able to do that.
Great, thanks!
Enjoyed watching your informative video. It seems that machine is a bit loud. Can you comment? Thank you.
It might have been the microphone we were using as this machine is really not very loud.
