I've actually put rice in my mini waffle maker before. You absolutely must put oil on the waffle maker first so it doesn't stick, but it comes out tasty. Nice and crispy on the surface. I've also made tuna mayo onigiri and waffled that. You need oil, but oooooh, that one is so tasty! Now I need to see if I can find a couple of convenience foods that I don't normally buy and see if they will taste good from the waffle maker. :)
And there it is folks, Peak RUclips 👍 A silent and faceless but extremely likable host puts random things in a waffle maker, with amusing result and added ASMR goodness. I'm glad I was here for it, but it's all downhill from here folks 🎉 Glad it was achieved by one of my favourite channels, congrats 😉
Fun video. As soon as you put one pizza on, I thought, no - two. Then next try, you were successful with two. Maybe try the shredded veggie tempura dish (sorry, do not remember the proper name). Or, the one with red ginger. With noodles, add an egg.
Really enjoyed this! Please waffle more things. It was enjoyable to watch whether they succeeded or not. The waffle American/Corn Dog looked particularly tasty!
At least you tried. But at least both the Corn Dog and the Fish Burger was successful! 👍 Here's two of my suggestions that you can try making it into a waffle: 1) Takoyakis (fried octopus balls) 2) Either a hamburger or a cheese burgers? 🤔🍔
I agree with Sakja . You just need to spray the surface with “Pam” cooking spray to get everything to pop right out. Pam is a sprayable vegetable oil. But this was definitely fun . thanks and cheers.
I think that maki sushi could have done with some cooking oil spray on the waffle iron and left in there long enough to make rice crispies. Also maybe instant yakisoba instead of instant ramen.
I want to waffle a corn dog and little pizzas now! Looked really good! I was waiting for your waffle maker to break with some of the items. I bet a dumpling of some kind would waffle...???? I forgot to say, when you said, "I can feel my enthusiasm dropping." I laughed out loud! It was a fun video to watch!
Thank you, I was dying from laughing so hard. Oh my, god it was a hoot. I really needed a good laugh. Try using some oil or butter spray next time so nothing sticks. Maybe some aluminum foil to cover the top and bottom of the food and spay with some oil. But please, do some more food in the waffle iron.
Loved this series! Makes me what to see what I can waffle. My girls definitely enjoy doing this. Some of the foods that were sticking maybe build a crust before closing down the lid tightly. Thank you for sharing❤
You should try using all different kind of Rice balls. The waffle maker whould scorch the outside of the rice ball. So you will end up with scorched waffle rice ball. I think that would be interesting to try different flavors.
Your sweet potato would have worked if you'd brushed oil onto it first. It would have worked better if you'd cut it into thick slices, then brushed oil onto it. I've reheated potato that way. Many things that are dry on the outside will work, with or without oil. I've reheated falafel and vegetable pakoras in a waffle maker, and chicken in batter. Scones and pastries will work, though if they have a lot of sugar in them they will burn very fast. And if you squash down the lid, most things with a runny filling will leak all over the place, then burn.
Is came on to my feed, so now I'm watching your videos, ok, try a toasted cheese sandwich, the noodles looked nice, maybe if you put slightly less water in the noodles try it again. 😅
I love will it waffle videos.. so many different results. I think some of the issues you had might be helped by spraying some vegetable oil onto the waffle iron before adding food. It will help with the sticky problems and give a more crispy crust to things like the pizzas.
Use oil next time. Stuff is sticking because you're supposed to oil the surfaces of the waffle iron. For 'loose' stuff like noodles or corn puffs, maybe try making a batter with eggs and milk or something like that, so it binds together. Otherwise there is nothing to stick any of it together, and you just make a pointless mess.
Shinichi, i like this kind of experiment😂 Corn dog, fish burger, pizza, noodles, roll cake. I definitely like the pizza. If i have waffle maker... I also think same with some comments. Spray your waffle maker with oil first? So it wont stick.
It would be fun to see you try the crispy waffle noodle thing using those fresh ramen and udon that come in vacuum packed individual portions. Maybe put them on the waffle maker as a patty, without seperating the noodles.
Wow that corn dog looked delicious and I think if the strawberry roll cake had some vanilla ice cream on top, it would be the perfect dessert. Thanks for sharing another fun waffle maker vlog! Love from Australia
i wasn't expecting any of these to turn out XD i was pleasantly surprised by what turned out edible! and VERY impressed by the anti-stick coating on your wafflemaker XD
Also, since a waffle machine is technically a double frying pan, you could cook meat without having to flip. You could make bread and other things. You can try to pop a popcorn kernel or make smores. I have made smores this way, it works great, just a pain to clean the marshmallow remains afterwards 😅
I literally screamed "Noooo" when you picked up the sushi at the store. And I had my doubts about the corndog but was mistaken. Definitely trying that someday. You should go to Yokohama and get a bag of the uncooked prawn chips. The hard ones that you put in oil and they puff up. I'm curious if the heat from the waffle maker would still make them puff up or if they'd stay hard.🤔
Try with parchement paper on both levels and have sushi in the middle. You´ll probably just heat the sushi since there ain´t any kind of flourlike ingredient. I´d love you to try big pretzels from Lidl (are there Lidl stores in Japan?) and experiment with waffle batter. Just add whatever and go crazy lol
For the first time in a while, I found myself talking to my screen: "Don't do it, for the love of humanity DON'T!!" But at least you put the bread portion on the outside with the pizza filling in between. But sushi??? Waffle makers are for bread mixes. Why not try all these foods using an air fryer? You might get the same result...hilarity!🤣
Try gently closing the lid instead of pressing down when you make the pizza. I have a Panini press and the mistake we made was pressing down hard on the lid. The cheese would ooze all over and it was a big mess.
“All fish burgers should be waffled” is something I need on a T-shirt. Hilarious episode, thank you!

Some of the food came out as a fail, but the video was definitely a success! I would love to see more of this!!
Don't you need to spray the waffle maker first?
My immediate thought. Some failures probably could have been avoided with this step and a longer cook time.
Yeah most of the failures seemed preventable. Except the corn snack one, no saving that one.
@@roryadair3510...and gently closing the lid instead of smashing it down. The logical conclusion is a George Foreman.
I would love to see this as a series for your channel. It was fun to watch, entertaining and it looks like some things are quite delicious.
Your "Will it Waffle" videos are always fun, Shinichi. Next time you could try gomoku inarizushi, steamed cheesecake , or any kind of konbini sando.👍
Fun video. As soon as you put one pizza on, I thought, no - two. Then next try, you were successful with two. Maybe try the shredded veggie tempura dish (sorry, do not remember the proper name). Or, the one with red ginger. With noodles, add an egg.
You let the intrusive thoughts win lol
You should have brushed with oil the sweet potato, the sandwiched pizza, and the sushi. They might not have stuck so much.
Really enjoyed this! Please waffle more things. It was enjoyable to watch whether they succeeded or not. The waffle American/Corn Dog looked particularly tasty!
I think most of those things would benefit from a healthy spray of oil like Pam spray
I have a feeling like a selection of the lunch pack sandwiches would waffle up lovely! Like a toaster!
Yup, agree with others. Youve got to put some kind of fat on the maker before adding stuff.
Would love to see (and try honestly) waffled tamagoyaki!
At least you tried. But at least both the Corn Dog and the Fish Burger was successful! 👍

This video is such a fun and innovative idea! I love seeing all the different foods being waffled. Can't wait to try it myself!
Grilled cheese sandwiches work well in waffle makers
I think that maki sushi could have done with some cooking oil spray on the waffle iron and left in there long enough to make rice crispies. Also maybe instant yakisoba instead of instant ramen.

It was a fun video to watch!
I have 3 waffle makers. I should be waffling more
(theyre gifts)
😂🤣this was too funny, thanks👍🏻👏🏼

Great inspiration to use the waffle maker more often. 😊 Next time try Gyoza or any kind of potato dumplings. They work well.
This was so much fun to watch. Great video idea!
Glad you enjoyed it!
13:33 why that motorcycle engine sound match up with that moment 🤣 it make natural sound effect🤣

Frozen takoyaki or the premade grilled onigiri (in a sprayed waffle iron). Melonpan might get some extra caramelization on the cookie part.
also so happy to see cupman back!!!
Regular sushi didn't waffle, but what about inarizushi🤔
I bet pastry will waffle, like a croissant.
Is came on to my feed, so now I'm watching your videos, ok, try a toasted cheese sandwich, the noodles looked nice, maybe if you put slightly less water in the noodles try it again. 😅
Try a cake mix I've done it and its good a little sweet but good just mix the cake mix and pour it in there and cook
Next try tofu and kambuko. 🤔
Most of them would work if you sprayed the waffle maker
I love will it waffle videos.. so many different results. I think some of the issues you had might be helped by spraying some vegetable oil onto the waffle iron before adding food. It will help with the sticky problems and give a more crispy crust to things like the pizzas.
Thanks for the tips!
Lol I was sad when my mother gave me a waffle iron for my birthday because I hate boring waffles. But now I got some ideas 😂🎉
Non stick cooking spray or brush melted butter lightly on both sides. Silly fun episode.
Do sushi again, but put parchment on the waffle maker first. It will still have the marks but won't stick.
I'm loving this! More please.
try tatter tots . donuts the pancakes with filling hash browns grilled cheese sandwiches.
Use oil next time. Stuff is sticking because you're supposed to oil the surfaces of the waffle iron.

try famichiki, any odeng, takoyaki, cheese, fruit sando, hmm.. what else ne….
onigiriiii!
Thank for sharing this video with us all take care 😘😘❤️🤩😍🥰💯🙏🌈🌹🌹
Wow that corn dog looked delicious and I think if the strawberry roll cake had some vanilla ice cream
on top, it would be the perfect dessert. Thanks for sharing another fun waffle maker vlog! Love from Australia
Waffle videos are fun to watch, especially the noodles . But the burger and hotdog are just perfect.
i kinda want to buy a waffle maker myself to try some of these! xD
👀Always enjoy seeing different foods in stores & the foods you eat in your videos!!!🤙⚡️
Thank you for the noodle one.... It just gave me an idea.
i wasn't expecting any of these to turn out XD i was pleasantly surprised by what turned out edible! and VERY impressed by the anti-stick coating on your wafflemaker XD

Fun video 😆 but you need to add some oil or butter first next time

Pretty sure the sweet potato will do much better if you oiled up the waffle iron really well.
I love your style, your vlog and everything! New fan here. ~ZhaviaKuzina
Id try the fish burger and corn dog.
Good idea. using 2 pizzas !
Butter the waffle maker
Oh but it looks so good!
Iam so glad to see your doing ok after the quakes you have been getting is everything almost back to normal over there or what
Try with parchement paper on both levels and have sushi in the middle. You´ll probably just heat the sushi since there ain´t any kind of flourlike ingredient.
I´d love you to try big pretzels from Lidl (are there Lidl stores in Japan?) and experiment with waffle batter. Just add whatever and go crazy lol
Tater tots are great in the G Foreman grill. I think they would waffle very well.
I think this would go better if you got a panini maker, something with a floating hinge at the back. Food wouldn't get so squashed.
You are a genius!
Sushi-waffle😅 maybe use sweet rice flower dough(mochi like) 2 patties on eachother and toppings inside🍙🍙🍙
For the first time in a while, I found myself talking to my screen: "Don't do it, for the love of humanity DON'T!!" Can't with them all! Still enjoyed the video though :)
What was the hardest thing to clean up? My guess would be the first cheese pizza
Try with rice items
Taiyaki and castella! 🤤
Sushi in waffle maker are you nuts man you flipped your lid
I think anything between bread would work!
You must oil the waffle maker first before you waffle things!☝
Next time make mashed sweet potato with some rice flower mix in with water or soymilk to make imo waffle🍠🍠🍠🍠🍠🍠
maybe you should brush some oil or spray some cooking spray first like you would with a regular waffle!
The first one kinda scared me 🫣
I'm sure it carmelized the surface sugars
Pancake batter with cooked red bean...tayaki
You should try moti!
Next time cut the sweet potato in half. Might work better
Thanks for the tip!
Put two pizza on top of each other, calzone
How about waffling a waffle?
Well done.
Remove the stick
Spray oil, my dude.
❤❤🇰🇪
Tamago?
Next time don't squish the sushi
Mochi. ?donuts?
Sweet things waffle better
🙋♀️
Someone was really really bored!!
Oh, tidak!!! Aku lebih suka memakai alat masak yg seharusnya memang dipergunakan untuk itu😢
Salad
