Hello, Sound engineer here. You need to go into the audio parameter of spectroid and change the bloc size to 8192 samples. That will double the latency and smooth the response but you'll get more precision frequency wise. The dB reading is of no interest here as long as your measurment is above the noise floor and you can read the fundamental frequency of the belt. 90Hz is quite low and the FFT method has some quirks there. A good guitar tuner might work better for that kind of job, will try to see if I can find a suitable free one. I really enjoy your videos, fantastic insight. Thanks for everything ;)
I don’t do many ducati belts but I got the texa tool so I know they are done correctly. Years ago I used the 45deg method & it did me well but was always left thinking are they going to be ok. Running my own business now so stuff needs to be done 100%. Love your videos & knowledge
I bought the Texa after using other tools and it's a great thing - love it's fast responsibility and correctness and for every try it gave the absolutely same result ☺🙂👌better than anything other and gives me a good feeling on being save with that too. Sorry my English isn't that good 😔
Cant believe those scumbag scam artists are selling those spectrum harmonic analysers anywhere from 500 to 1000 USD when a free smartphone app replicates the results perfectly. If I cared more. Lawsuit.

That's really helpful information, thanks for sharing 👍

Grazie.
By far the most usefull video regarding belt tension

Hi thanks for the video and explanation,Im doing a belt change on a 92 851.Have down loaded the Spectriod app, useful for home mechanics cheers
Great example, shows how things are developing.👍🏻
Wonderful, Exactly what I was looking for. I'll be using my Note 10! I even use the same app for other things. :)
Waht App did you use? It’s for apple/ iPhone to?
Nice video. What is the name of the app?
I actually thought this was a wind up at 1st off to do mine now. Set mine using 45 degrees method so interested to see what they're at. Cheers
I had 109 using the 45 method but will use the phone from now on
Hi there can you share with me the spectroid setting that u used? Because I'm unable to get the screen and reading like yours
Sorry but I don't have any settings to share? Just installed in and it worked for me.
@@SuperbikeSurgeryTV noted, cause i were thinking you change the setting while you're checking the tension?.. thank you very much

The only real difference is that if there is background noise, the phone struggles a bit. It doesn't seem to affect the proper tool.
so the spec is the frequency the belt vibrates with when plucked? That sounds completely made up even though I know its not.
Suprisingly good, I thought they would be way worse!
I assume that tension has a tolerance of around 5% either side ?
Yes, +/‐ 5 Hz

Is that Ducati tool like £600?!
