np1 reminds me the LG G6 that aluminum body except G6 is MIL-STD-810G with ip68. but still impressed me with the frame quality!
I am currently thinking about replacing my 4 year old G6 with the nothing phone 1.

Yeah, the back should do well but the screen I feel would easily crack. I don't think I would be doing a drop test on that phone though, just not enough interest.

I don't think it does. A rounded bezel will do better on handling bumps as it handles more angles
@@brahmoone The statistics that we have from the repair store we have here since 2014 shows that since the flat stainless steel side models arrived we have 40% less screen repairs than the ones from the 11 pro and before. Of course the glass technology changed too but it's easy to understand that the flat design can cover more angles of a drop than the round one. Best of course is to have a case.
Hey I got a question, if it has a case and is dropped from a night stand on even floor, can there be damage?
depends on the phone case, and what material your floor is made out of
It should be fine if the case is made of durable and rubbery materials. From that height there won't be enough velocity build up to break anything. The glass back may seem fragile (as it is glass) but it holds up very well. You'd have to smash it against something with a very fine tip to make any real damage. Don't worry. :)

it is replaceable but not sure where you would find the replacement part.
That was a "great" test and it was showing expected destruction. It is always hard to see a new phone beeing detroyed. I know, a drop test for an old device will not attract vievers but its a loss to do it that way in a descending world. And besides: This phone is not rugged. Drop tests make only sense for devices that are called rugged by their maufacturers who say a drop does not harm the phone. This phone can be ruined by one single fall and that makes a droptest senseless. Liebe Grüße🙋♀
Auch ein droptest für ein "nicht auf Drops ausgelegtes Handy" macht Sinn. Stell dir vor du kaufst dir dieses Handy und möchtest einschätzen wie der Schaden aussieht wenn es dir Mal ausversehen runterfällt.
Es gibt Handys die sind nach einem Sturz sofort komplett kaputt und welche die mehrere Stürze problemlos überleben. Und ich Kauf mir auf jeden Fall ein Handy was nicht beim ersten drop kaputt geht 😁
@@AllesWasFunnyIst Guten Abend. Das hängt immer davon ab wie es fällt, wie herum es landet, aus welcher Höhe, auf welchen Untergrund…man kann Glück oder Pech haben. Da es bei ungeschützten Handys sinnlos ist und man unter Laborbedingungen Reihen machen müsste hat so ein Test wie hier keine Aussagekraft.

Und du hast Recht es muss auf jeden Fall eine Hülle drauf, aber Handys die ohne Hülle einiges aushalten, werden mit Hülle ja quasi unzerstörbar 😉

Wenn ich in den Bergen etwas kraxele und evtl auf Steinen herumrutsche sagt mit mein Verstand dass ein fast rundherum in Glas eingefasstes Handy nicht die beste Wahl ist. Beste Grüße 🖖
