If you had to pick one.... efficiency or power?
Well as jn life efficiency is best but I prefer performance with about equal torque to power or little more torque so you have more power off the line

I have a Watt Wagons commuter bike, (UC Pro with a titanium frame) and the same motor as the Hydra.
This motor is a pussycat at lower levels and an absolute beast when you move up the power levels.
The biggest drawback to this bike and motor is it ruins you for riding any other ebike. I also ride a Cannondale Lefty 3, with the Bosch gen 4 motor, and up until I received my UC Pro I thought the Lefty 3 had lots of power. Not anymore.
Power does corrupt....absolutely.
How is yours holding up?
I got the Watt Wagon Hydra with the 52 volt battery last month. Everything that he said in this video, is 100% true! It is a great eMTN bike. When you go from Eco mode to Sport mode, it's like a rocket. The torque is incredible. It is on the higher end cost wise but it's my one and done eBike. I will never need to buy another one to upgrade.

@@brucevous1 I have hit 38 MPH before while pedaling with pedal assist just to see how fast it will go. With throttle alone it will go over 30 easily depending on your weight and weather conditions.

I have a Wattwagons Hydra with 4.8 inch fat tires. 100% worth it. Lots of fun. Goes through trails and small hills like it's nothing.

I choose power. I’ve been using a 750 Watt mid-drive motor, it’s got enough power for me and commuting to work. But a 2200 Watt must be a beast.

You do know that the BBS02 750w mid drive can go 1250 watts using 52V battery.

I got a sondors rockstar when they where beta . Seems to be very close bike to this one . I think the price when up to 3400 but way better then 6500 for this hydra I think. Sondors rockstar is 750w but max at 1150w I think. Don't have rock shocks tho so but half the price. Cheers
WattWagon Hydra is the way to go, awesome E-bike
I have a Bolton Foxbat as well as a Wattwagons Hydra. Both are good bikes with BBSHD and Ultra respectively. However, the Hydra is in a class of its own: much smoother, much greater power, and phenomenal full suspension. I have the Manitou Mezzer Pro front suspension shown in this video and the Rockshocks Super Deluxe Ultimate rear suspension. This is a trail eMtn bike that you can take anywhere. I regularly ride on blue/black trails. I use the Foxbat for trips to the grocery store but I use the Hydra for sh*t-eating grins on trails.

I had a Haibike Nduro 9.0 Mountain Bike Yamaha for 5 years & it was Bullet Proof & So far my WattWagon has been Fantastic & Their controller makes all the difference. & Customer service has been excellent.

No need for a bell with the Bafang Ultra, as the noisy gears in the motor can be heard from 50+ yards. It's understandable why in 90% of the Ultra reviews, music is playing in the background to cover up the whining gear noise. Even without torque sensing , I'll stick with my stealth silent 1800 watt BBSHD conversion.

Big fan of your channel Kyle and you as an ebike spokesman. You really understand the consumer and know there is a customer base that will appreciate higher power ebikes and use the power responsibly. The Watt Wagon bike looks awesome. I built my ebike with Bafang BBSHD and I love it, but when the right factory ebike comes along...and I love the Ultra motor and wary of the new Bafang CANBUS architecture, I will likely buy my next bike. I need something a bit more road focused but the next evolution in controller you describe sounds terrific. My sense is...I am an engineer, that the battery BMS in the Watt Wagon bike that extracts big watts from the Ultra motor...the battery used in the Watt Wagon bike must be a high amp BMS in order to work with what I presume is a high amp controller...likely somewhere around 60 amps or about twice a typical Ultra motor with stock controller to create 2000w.

I'm riding a 1700W bbshd and I have 32:42 gearing in my granny gear, and man I'll climb anything, even 80 degree climbs of about 3 meters if I hit it at 16kph.

My bike is on way and the dealer says I can fit a 230x60 -230x65mm rear shock and the factory rear shock has 230x62.5...

FOC controllers have been needed for high torque cargo bikes in China (and Asia in general) for a couple decades now.
Great to see all the handicapped riders out there. Gives me a challenge on my pedal bicycle. Feels great when I beat them home after work. I'd wax the bike first though.

At times I need an ebike capable of a 75 mile range. Right now , with my unamed brand ebike , I achieve this with a spare battery which I swap out mid trip. Are extra batteries available for this bike and since the battery looks integrated is swaping it in the field possible and practical?

Fortunately where I live in the US state of Oregon where we can have 1000W's. I live in the coastal mountains where 1000w is barely adequate for my 6 ft + 300 lb frame. 750w would barely move me on flat ground.There should be a speed limit like with cars.

I have never spent any time on riding an Ebike, but I do have in excess of 20,000+ miles on a Honda Trail 90 from the 60's, it has been my Ebike......LOL, but all good things come to an end, I have worn it out, and can't get any parts etc,
so my quest for an EBike, to replace my Trail 90.

Why are ebikes companies so afraid about laws regarding wattage and speed? The legal speed limit for cars in the US is 65 mph but last I checked I didn’t have to unlock my Civic to hit 75 mph. Enough of this!
Because some people ride them in improper places, like crowded sidewalks and paths where you have kids, pets and a serious accident could happen if you don't slow down. I own an e bike and get passed by regular cyclists all the time, and then they blame e bikes for going too fast.
@@peterfernandezjr5914 This is an infrastructure problem not an ebike problem. People ride on the sidewalks because the infrastructure doesn’t exists. But in case of mountain and trail bikes why even bother with wattage limit? These bikes are inherently limited by suspension, hard capping the legality to 750 watts is pointless unless too much torque is somehow dangerous to the public.

Until the light motorcycle power snaps that bicycle chain and you are pushing it home...
When you're limited to how many watt motor you have the only thing left to do is to increase your amperage with a 750 watt motor and a 72 volt battery at 90 AMP peak, you got something there. If you throw in a sine wave controller with field weakening it's a sweetens the pot.

like when snowboarding first came out ski hills started to ban them from using the lifts and some hills but it never stopped them. they just walk up the hill and still ride down. best of luck

@Area13ebikes I wouldn't be surprised if people wanted to get their bikes on a dyno just to have a copy printed out for bragging rights. Like a group of guys spending an afternoon there getting on the dyno. You could hire a kid to do it and charge $50 . Once a week , first come, first serve. 9-5 pm

The market is desperately asking for a small start-up to design a drive-train that can handle this kind of power. My solution make all the metal in the chain, cassette, derailleur 50% thicker, and reduce the # speeds to 5 so it can be used on standard free-hub bodies.
Prefer efficiency for long mileage rides.

All of the world's little children will be taken to Heaven by Lord Jesus to escape the end of the world. They will suddenly disappear into thin air all at once.
Right before the final 7 years of mankind's rebellion to God's will is initiated (called the Tribulation / apocalypse) there will be a great rescue of the little children from earth to Heaven. Right after the little children are rescued from what's coming the next major event to happen will be a major asteroid impact. This will come with signs of light in the skies heralding its arrival 3 days in advance, described below.

This next bit comes from dreams and visions God has given us over the years. The skies turning colors is directly in reference to Matthew 24:27 where Jesus warned us that there would be a crazy light show going on right before the 2nd rapture. Jesus Himself set the course of the coming asteroid in order to wake people from their sleep. Upon impact this asteroid will cause a 12.0 earthquake, a mega flaming shockwave for many hundreds of miles, world wide mega tsunamis, will split America in two, and will even stop time for 3 days as the sun and moon will stay in their places in the sky for those 3 days, and finally will kill millions of people.
This asteroid is going to land between the island of Mona and the city of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico at 2:00am Puerto Rico time. (We know the hour, but not the date).
When you see these final signs you'll know it's beginning:
- The skies all over the entire world will turn colors like the auras
- After that the skies will turn red for 3 days as a final warning
- Then the asteroid hits
- Then the 3 days of darkness arrive where all the light on the earth is extinguished. No light from the sun or moon or stars. It will be so dark you will be blind.

Repent of your sins or suffer the consequences. Lord Jesus died in our places personally to take the death punishment that sin deserves and then resurrected by the power of God. Believe this and sincerely repent of your sins each time you sin and you will have eternal life and nothing to fear. Fail to repent and you will end up in the Lake of Fire.
