??? I tried doing this today but the black ink came out blurry and not sharp at all. Mainly small flower clusters were just a black blob. Any hints for me ? TIA
Colleen, HP is very sensitive to ink replacements that are not HP. The other inks are less expensive, but they tend to "leak". It could possibly be that you are using a generic?
If you are careful with how much mod podge you use, (you don't need much with tissue paper) you can do it. It takes a little practice, but it's doable.)
I've printed small images using my inkjet printer. I discovered when you apply ModPodge on top, it will smear the colors. I then purchased Krylon UV archival spray (their recommendation) to seal the ink and it still did not work.
When I use mod podge with inkjet I use a very light hand and I never seal them on top with that. It’s the wetness that’s the problem. I do seal some projects with acrylic sealer. I’ll make a video soon to show you what I do.
@@FarmhouseCraftaholics I'll let you know if the Triple Thick smudges as well. I really appreciate you RUclipsrs who not only take the time to share your knowledge but also take the time to reply to questions! :)

Thanks immensely for showing us how to accomplish this! 😁👍
I'm glad it helped!
Brilliant
That should say, simply brilliant!
Thanks! It's fun isn't it?
This is so great!!❤
Glad you like it! Enjoy the printable~
Thank you, exactly what I am looking for!
Did it work for you?
Thank you for doing this. I am wondering where we can find these printables?
These ones are in my Etsy shop. Here you go! www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1278887124/santas-coming-download-and-video

So many variables can be the problem. You might need a new black cartridge. If that doesn't work it might be the printer itself.
Love it!!!!!

There are times when my image has ink spots, usually black. Is there a trick to avoid this? I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks for the video!
Is it an inkjet or a laser printer? If it's a laser the drum is probably a bit dirty. If it's an inkjet, I'm not sure.
@FarmhouseCraftaholics Thank you for replying.😊 It's an HP Inkjet. It doesn't do it all the time, but boy, when it does, it can be frustrating. 💐

Did you use mod podge to decoupage onto the metal piece? No smearing?

I did end up sealing just the edges yesterday but now plan on coating it with DecoArt triple thick glaze. Thank you so much for replying!
@@CharlesBaker-hn3zzOf course! I never use ModPodge to seal and I like the Triple thick!

It smushes and tears the paper !!!
Every printer is different. Be sure that tissue paper is as FLAT as possible.
