My sister and husband only started it in 2020 during lockdown and last night my sister messaged and said “Billy’s got a brain tumour?! 😦 tell me he doesn’t die!” 🤭 I didn’t tell her billy died back in 2000 and she’s late to the party... they’re watching Boy Next Door tonight 😓
I loved the show, Ally McBeal, although it was so different when Billy died. Nonetheless, their love was so deep that I can never hear this song without thinking of that show, Other than "Wonder Years," I can't think of another show that touched me as much as that crazy Ally McBeal show did.
@@Vixen1000 This particular video comes directly from the TV show, "Ally McBeal." You can find other versions of the song if you look under Josh Groban and Where you are." I just happened to comment on the song as I was introduced to Josh Groban. I was a big fan of Ally McBeal and it was a quirky show that people either liked or hated. It was a show I never thought I would enjoy and yet I did and watched the whole series; by myself; my husband was working and my daughter was too young to appreciate it. When my husband's schedule changed, he kind of half-watched it because he really liked the character Peter MacNicol played.
@@kathnh6795 oh I'm currently watching it, at season 2, I thought it would be boring but I find it quite interesting. Just that I haven't reached the part when Billy died yet so that's very shocking and sad 😭
Finally finish all the season in 2023 . I've known this series in 2000, but never watch all the season from the beginning untill the end. My heart break when billy died 😭😭
Incredible edit. The music, the moments, the insane chemistry and love of Ally and Billy. Great to watch and just let those tears roll and roll. Love Billy and Ally..(forever and ever love)
@@jaywest3734 i wished the creator of the series kept lisa nicole carson as renee, she is good as ally roommates, bestfriend, when billy died im dying to think would it be nice to hv renee comforting ally being that she is the one who knows everything about their relationship. That would be a great scenes.
As in real life, often the grand plan changes by unforeseen occurrences. Read Renee's real backstory. Also, RDJr real life changed end of series. Also although after Billy made the show different, the quality of writing was still superb. Also cast of characters & musical score never diminished. IMHO
I just watch the entire series since there is nothing else to do while in Covid-10 isolation. I forgot just how wonderful this show was. I changed when Billy died, but it came back when Robert Downy, Jr. joined the cast. But when he left, the show just couldn't be saved and I really hated the way they ended it.
m k Vautour yeees I really love Gil Bellows and I cried when he died and then seeing Robert Downey jr making calista (Larry and ally) Larry making ally almost as happy as billy made her
Great song for this tribute to Ally and Billy. The only other song as appropriate is "Goodbye,My Friend",as sung by Vonda Shepard at the end of "I Will Survive",the episode following Billy's death,"Boy Next Door".Big mistake in killing Billy off at the end of season 3.It took the romantic heart out of the series. The kissing scenes between Calista Flockhart and Gil Bellows were so tender and romantic.Viewers could almost feel the intense screen chemistry between them.Billy was the only man who could make Ally cry, yet he was the only man whom she loved more than life itself.
Yes, but lest we forget, Billy was married to someone else -- a wonderful women who was also a lawyer in the same firm, who loved Billy and Billy loved her. Even Ally had to respect her.
@markmh835 He married Georgia, but came to admit that he would never love anyone like he loved Ally. Which was obvious to anyone who watched the show.
Agradecido.
LES DEJO A ALEXANDER Y A VICTOR LOS ENLACES PARA VER LOS VIDEOS QUE SOLICITAN, ADEMÁS LOS PUEDEN DESCARGAR. SIN PROBLEMA. FAN YO ABSOLUTA DE JOSH. HOY ES EL ANIVERSARIO DE MI MADRE, ELLA ADORABA ESTA CANCIÓN. ASÍ QUE PIENSEN QUE ES UNA FORMA DE QUE MI ROSITA LES REGALE ALGO . SALUDOS
Really? Did you get to meet him? Or any of the cast? He has such an amazing voice and I remember writing all my friends, who were my age, which was older than the rest of the people who watched it, that they had to watch for this amazing singer, Josh Groban, because he was going to go places. That show put him on the map!
What episode was Billy's funeral and the ending scene, I have all season 3 but it goes to the Boy Next Door to I will survive, so I'm wondering when was Billy's funeral? Anyone knows?
Billy was the worst! I only realised this after I rewatched on DVD. He dumped Ally twice, married someone else, led her on while married, told her he left her coz he didn’t want to be sucked in to her fantasy world, then when he realised how badly he f-ed up, he dropped dead. Ugh! Team Larry❤️.
I agree with you that Billy was horrible -- and I can add more to this point: he fell in love with Ally when they were eight, and loved her through childhood -- until he noticed that she wasn't growing any boobs. So he went to Michigan and met Georgia who had some, so he fell in love with her and split with Ally. He tried to stay on the fence between Georgia and Ally. In Season 2, when he saw Ally falling for Greg, a black man, he went crazy and deliberately interferred, so Ally lost Greg. At that point, the sickness in his brain began. At one point, Ally notices the sickness, and even says "You're not going to die on me, are you?" Then in a later episode, Ally hallucinates a little girl who keeps on saying "You've got to rescue him!" However, people are complicated, so I must say Billy was also wonderful. Horrible and wonderful go together in men, becuase we are incomplete.
@@jeffrobbins3061 and Ally loved him despite all his flaws. They had to kill him off. If he’d simply moved away, Ally would never have moved on. They’d written her love for him in such a way that she would’ve followed him to where ever he went. Only way she would let go was if Billy died.
@@wendydawson697 Thanks for your reply. Yes, Billy had to die, and the way I see it, this was clear all the way through the second season and into the third; for a full year, the bad karma he created was growing in his brain until it finally killed him. When Larry disappearred -- because of his real-life arrest -- Ally died a second time. I really thought Jon Bon Jovi was going to bring her back to life, but then that did not happen either. Instead Richard found a new life from a woman. The ending was sort of clumsy, but then life, for many people, including myself, is rather clumsy.
