- The Mazda 6,2.5l is an ideal car for projecting an executive image during the week, when you need to go out and meet clients, but good enough to allow you to go for a weekend chill drive to de-stress.
There is enough power for you to enjoy yourself, with a good suspension set-up that is comfortable, yet firm enough to minimize the body roll when you are near the limit around the harsh corners. 19-inch wheels help with grip, and big brakes maintain consistency in the brakes.

The 6 has been my daily ride for the past 5 1/2 years and I haven't pushed it anywhere near as hard as YS has managed to. Good to know what the car has in reserve.
I can see Uncle YS drives very comfortably in this Mazda 6, quite stable and engaging to drive in overall, in sync with driver control

Finally the car has earned its self a reputation to be amongst the best. Previously, overshadowed by its competitors Accord and Camry. Now and finally a sight of relief....
I think it’s the intake sound more than the exhaust. The Skyactiv engine does sound good for that it is.

Driven the Mazda6 2010 model, before that driven the accord and camry of the same year. The 6 beats both interms of ride and handling. Very sure footed car, less body roll compared to theaccord and camry. And the electric power steering is just great. Gives u good feedback.

How does this car's handling compare to the TNGA Altis?
I know they are not the same segment but since (assuming) this would handle better than the Camry, hence I am comparing this with the Altis.

The Altis would not be able to hit those speeds in the same time, because it has a lot less horses. But ot will be a lot more affordable though, and will be very comfortable as well. The Mazda 6, being D segment has its own classy ride characteristics.

YS. . . any brief comment on the handling vs Accord 1.5T? It seems to me Accord holds the line significantly better/tidier. But could be tyres. . .
Tyres make a huge difference. Both cars suspension set up is very similar. And power figures are similar too i have driven both, and enjoyed both.
330LI M SPORT and Mazda 6 2.5 are quieter and better to climb？
Seeing a RX7 going up Genting is really a rare occasion.

mazda AT is really clever. i used to go up a steep. the car will stay on 3rd gear until the steep ends and then shift up.
it is good if they have a hybrid version, because 7.6km/l is a little too expensive to drive when it is selling outside Malaysia
A lot depends on how you drive. Most people get around 10 km/l for normal driving. There is also the non- turbo 2.5 and 2.0 versions.
From this video...looks like Uncle is driving faster than the Arteon R Line's video.
D segment car is good but it would be just perfect if they could increase the power of the car up to +200hp especially Mazda 6 since it has the best handing .

Wow Malaysian drivers are nicer than Filipino drivers. Even that supra gave way to someone who's going faster. If that happened in here it would be a bit heated or the slower car won't even give way!

When u drive this mazda 6 downhill, do u switch to manual (+/-) for engine brake? Or u use footbrake all the way?
That would be up to you. It depends in speed and your driving mood. For a slow relaxed drive, auto would be okay. For spirited driving, manual is better.
Why would you brake with the engine?

The CX-5 Turbo is a different class of animal, but it cists a lot more. The X70 is a very good bargain package amongst the SUVs available. The X50 is even more affordable. Thus it remains your choice entirely. There is even the Cullinan, if budget is of no consequence, then there are the Porsches, which are also excellent, not to mention the Volvos, and Rav4, and the Subarus. Each has its own magic to offer.

As you can see from the video the car handles very well. I would say you are quite mistaken.

I dont know. This video was done way before CMCO by the way. Ask the 1 Series owners who were parked by the road side.

When driving up the mountain in winter conditions, is it OK to drive it in automatic mode? Should I use sport mode in order to keep the lower gear longer? Or is it necessary when driving up to mountain in winter conditions to switch it to manual mode?
A lower gear helps you have better control. If you have a manual mode it is even better.
Hi uncle, for this car (mazda 6 2.5 sedan), will the presence of the cylinder deactivation cause mechanical complications in the future?
I certainly have not heard of any dire consequences of cylinder deactivation, and it is not a dark art but an exact science. Deactivation simply means the cylinder does not get any fuel, bit ot still gets a spark to ignite any unburnt gas, and there is still lubrication in the cylinder.

This video was done a long time before CMCO. We still have a few more before we run out. We are like squirrels - keep the storehouse full so that we dont go hungry. This video was done in July.

on genting sempah road, my 2 litre record 9km/L, while this extra 500cc record 7.5km/L. Almost same spirited driving. I guess we cannot simply believe some people in lowyat forum who say bigger cc more fuel saving. More power use but use less fuel. logic 404.
@@highiq145 yes, fuel consumption cannot just solely looks at the cc, too many factors in it, design of transmission, design of engine, car weight, etc. And I can feel from the video this Mazda 6 is quite heavy

No. The basis of differentiation is wrong in the first place. If not 6.0 is the most efficient cars. Fast vs fast, slow vs slow. Try full throttle both cars, now u know bigger cc will always suck more fuel.

The engine note and gear trans is very good.Hpwever i doubt the hp and torque figures of the engine.The same goes with their 1.5 and 2.0 skyactive engine.If the numbers is really true,then it must be achievable only at 7k rpm range😅😅.

Its a rev-happy engine. That's why it sounds like that.

We need to rev it up to extract the horsepower. All engines are like that. We haven't found the Flux Capacitor yet.
