That starter kit, the Fallout ones, and the Warhammer 40k ones are the reason I got hooked on playing Magic. I regret? No not at all... Magic is like a drug only more destructive 😂
I played Magic way long time ago (4th Edition -Urza’s Saga) and the Universe’s Beyond Godzilla cards brought me back, but I stayed for the New Phyrexia story.
@@Gzilla313 I also played 4th and Urza back in the day. I found the cards in the attic in pretty good shape a week ago. I got curious about new cards so I went to Wizards website and I found this starter kit. I love Assassin's Creed, so this is a great time to go back to Magic...
I loved the lotr starter kit except for the fact that the mordor deck is consistently more powerful and had to tweak it by adding 2 paradise druids, 2 rider of gondor, samwise, legolas greenleaf, and even then the mordor deck still has more value cards and more removal. Id doubt if this starter decks would be balanced, but i like how they are basically duel decks of old, and just as complex, which may not be that good for beginners
The Bloomburrow kit is legal in Standard format and contains codes to unlock the decks in MTG Arena, though finding the kit interesting is more motivation to play!
@@MTGUnpacked Yea well I'm playing this game since Iceage so I'm not really interested in cards of that level. AC was the reason why I've got a Starter. While I actually enjoy Commander at PreCon Level at times, Starter Kit duels are too random for my taste even though it's nice sometimes to escape the META cards and just have fun. Only problem with PreCon Commander is...if you're playing with 4 people and at like turn 7-10 someone plays a board wipe, the match will probably last for hours. ^^

I bought this because I have a huge nostalgia bias for ezio and my friends gonna teach me magic is this a good way to learn
Yes, the starter kits are how I recommend you learn to play. MTG Arena is also a good option.
Skip this, if you want a standard deck wait for the Bloomburrow Starter Kit, if you want a modern deck get the Lord of the Rings Starter Kit.
I'm doing a lotr deck, assassin's creed and mh3

I'll buy this for Achelles and Ezio
Bought this to say I haven't missed a set. Not buying the boosters, waiting on bloomburrow
I heard that the new Bloomburrow kit is better than this, but I like this more. Does it matter to learn this game as a beginner?

The Eivar deck is much stronger than the Ezio one
AHH poop, I've just seen this comment after ordering this for my kids, gutted 😢
I straight up do not understand the historic card type abilities. What makes a card historic.
It's considered historic if the card is a legendary, artifact, or saga. Usually they print that on the card.
So there aren't even MtG Arena codes for the two decks this time!?
No, Assassin's Creed cards aren't in MTG Arena, other than basic lands and sleeves. I'm assuming there was a licensing restriction.
@@MTGUnpacked That kinda sucks, ngl. It doesn't suck as much as selling 7 card boosters which absolutely no one should buy but it still sucks.
There's always the Bloomburrow starter kit in August. That should come with MTG Arena codes.
