Got a copy of Arturia's RE-201 emulation a few months back (came bundled with one of their audio interfaces) and had largely ignored it, didn't realise how cool it was! Will definitely be spending some more time with it

Couldn't you emulate the HW feeling by using a good MIDI controller?
100%. Using any controller - doesn't need to be especislly good. Just map a couple of controls to a couple of dials and play the delays like the instruments they are

The Roland RE-202 is mono though.
Can have a similar result with echo in ur ableton
I think the Space Echo and Zen Delay are my favourite delays ever made.
Just wrote this on Cinthi’s RA video - how do you not go crazy with the Erica Synths acknowledged 2k sine tone / whine and how the resonance feedback breaks the stereo linkage?

IK Space Delay is the best emulation in my opinion. Clearly blows away the Arturia.
I agree that it sounds better than the Arturia, but fuck it's a pain to use. The feedback goes from barely there to uncontrollable self-oscillation within about 5% of the knob's rotation. It's probably like that on the unit they modelled, but I wish they'd prioritised usability. The UAD version is much better in that regard
@@henryhill92 it is really sensitive and in order to control that I’ve found you must be judicious with the filters. Alternatively, you can also use it as a send in a host which allows send / return feedback, and that allows much better control. But the tone is superior to Arturia by far. The black rooster model is slightly better than the Arturia and more controllable but I ended up passing on it.
