- Paris. Belize. Spain. Just some of the places Matthew Whitaker’s incredible talents have taken him. Born premature and blind, doctors gave him less than a 50% chance of surviving. But Matthew’s parents soon realized their child was extraordinary. By age 3, he’d already taught himself “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” on the piano. Now the 20-year-old is celebrating the release of his third album, “Connections” at Harlem Stage. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer explains. #InsideEdition

Whitaker is incredible! It always amazes me how much determination and discipline some individuals have. The love he has for what he does is contagious, warms my heart! 🤩 Nothing better than someone having the best of times through their work. This is something to be absolutely proud of. 👏😃

I can play the triangle in one hand if someone holds it, a drum in the other with me holding the stick, and a recorder if its in my mouth. It won't be a song, but its sounds so its still kind of amazing and helps me feel talented

I love Matthew❣️I try to keep up with what he’s doing since I first saw his story as a young boy air on LPB/PBS. Just saw a video the other day that he’s in an Art Residency to score a film❗️That was always one of his dreams. He also rearranged the song “Tomorrow” from the Little Orphan Annie movie & It Is ☄️❣️The Most High has truly gifted him and he’s using it. This should show us that only we can limit ourselves, so take the limits off and soar🌟♥️
