What's even more amazing about this school are the students. You will rarely hear young students speak about sustainability, environmental awareness, and animal welfare. But here these young students were taught and oriented well for more significant things aside from academics. Great job Louis for featuring this school in today's vlog!
and what's ironic here, is that you can find schools like these in places/regions where the environment are preserved and not being adulterated, instead of finding them in highly industrialized places. sad truth.
Those are the kinds of kids who are going to be the change we need in the world, they give me hope. We need more people who car about our home. Live the adventure louis!
Nisa Hilmi i wish it was like this here in US. im sad my childhood wasnt this adventurous and the enviroment would make you wanna go to school even more
aviamerta you should be so proud being a part of history. people will look at you guys for inspiration in the future. thank you for being so contributing! doing the world proud ✌👊✊
Ana Banana that would be the best part xD each one of these kind of schools would be designed uniquely to each state's environment! I would envision that in one of them would be located completely underground!
OMG YES! SAM! I love him. The Montana vlogs still hasn't left my heart and really left an impression on me. I love it when you're together with Sam or Nick and Ange. My favourite people that you hang around. I need more vlogs with Louis and Sam together.
This school is the epitome of schools. I was an educator and this school is something beyond fantastic. Letting the student learn in a natural environment is genius. I would come out of retirement to be among these eager students. Quite inspiring!
This might sound weird, but I had such pride knowing that this gorgeous school was built by a canadian, not just because I'm canadian myself but it shows how we can unite to help each other.
that's not weird at all. we need people from outside of our country to help us to preserve and nurture the nature, and in this case he also helps us to build, maybe one of the best schools in the world. let's together make this world a better place to live. cheers from Indonesia.
I agree, i Think this is one of the best schools in the World. I really want to visit Indonesia. I will go to Philippines this Winter. Next time it will be Indonesia and Laos. I definately want to visit this school.
My friend went to Green school and loved it, glad you are seeing the real side of Bali and exploring, rather than just sticking to the beaches in Kuta!
Thanks for visiting our school guys! Incredible footage of our campus. You and your viewers can find out more about our school at www.greenschool.org or follow us on IG @greenschoolbali Thks!
This is amazing. Imagine every school being like that! Not only would children actually love going to school but I would have such a great impact on the environment and since it is an educational institution I will actually raise the future generations to think about sustainability and the environment from an early age on! I really hope that in the future more and more green schools will be opened, I swear when I have children I want them to experience something this incredible
tks so much Louis and Raya for drawing our attention to such a brilliant school, hadnt been there or even heard of it. Made a lot of other friends in Asia, US and Europe aware of it too. We all vacation in Bali regularly. Fantastic vlog as always. Enjoy your weeks there.
Those kids from the green school give me hope in a time where hope is so needed to keep going and fighting the good fight! Thank you Louis for shining a light at this amazing school! You're amazing!
Wow!!! So inspirational!!! ❤ These kids are very fortunate to go to an amazing inspiring school that teach them to change the world and live more substantial. I think we need changement and more schools that teach how to be substainable around the world. Its crazy how in the western world we get wrapped up into the eat, sleep, work routine. There's so much more out there then staying in our little bubble. 😊 One of my high school teachers keep saying this to get outside to see the world, to not stay strapped in your own little world there's so much to see and experience. To stay opened minded and not closed minded he was our guitar teacher one of my best teachers i've had in my life. 💖
So incredibly inspirational and so refreshing to see our youth doing such positive things with their lives! I would love to go but could not afford. Utterly blown away and speechless, favorite vlog ever, hands down. Thanks so much for sharing this Louis.
This is awesome! I'm feeling really lost and stuck at the moment with school and work en future stuff and this is just so nice to see. You guys are so inspirational and I love that we can follow your adventures. Truely Thank you!
I absolutely love this idea! We need more of this everywhere! Thank you to the lady for inviting you to that wonderful school, and thank you Louis for having showcased it to us! 👌
Killing the drone game Louis!! Actually, killing the vlog game since forever. You are so underrated, you are one of the most talented and HARDWORKING youtubers. It's actually pretty inspiring, I really appreciate your consistency and INCREDIBLE quality. I have no idea what's your secret to give us such amazing films in so short notice. Sorry I went for so long. I just feel grateful.
That is just amazing. ... the school being so sustainable as well as the students learning but also putting into practice ideas of science and math... building a bridge or a business to save endangered species.. . truly amazing and gonna watch that Tedtalks vid!
It was such an honor meeting you and sawyer. Like i admire your work because you have such a vibrant adventurous life and I'm all about that. Wow! And I got to meet you...i love yall! Hope you guys have an amazing time bali! Suhh
Schools like that need to start popping up in more places other than just Bali! There definitely needs to be at least one school like that in every country!
I aspire to build a school one day and I'm now really interested in visiting this school for ideas, both for sustainability and curriculum. One day, hopefully.... Thanks for sharing this, Louis!
So in Germany we have alot of different Schools, but a few Weeks ago i visit a completly new School (Im a Pedagogue) so, that school was all about Tech, Science and stuff like that. These Kids are like 12, 13, 14 and they build a Rocket, which is able to fly to the Moon, around it, and it comes back safety. WTH?! On the other Hand, its all about the Perfomance of the children, they have to do good, and they have to learn alot. Its really not perfect, but cool for children with a real passion.
It's nice to see something in Bali/Indo that isn't destroying the environment. If you ever fly from Hong Kong to Bali. Just look down at the deforestation when you fly over Kalimantan! Another great vlog Louis 👍🏻🇬🇧
This is AMAZING Louiiiissss! Thanks so much for coming! It was really nice to finally meet you guys! Please feel free to come back anytime if you're keen on doing a project with us or something. Enjoy Baliiiiiii!!
I live in Jakarta and I was SOOO shook when I heard your in balii!!! I can't believe that you went to green school Bali.. OMG❤️ I went there for my camp to Bali for school and it was such a surreal place I LOVE IT THERE AND I LOVE YOU💕💕💕
Great video, I stayed at Bambu Indah, just down the road, another of John Hardy's incredible visions... Green School is the most amazing & inspirational place... a true model for the future of this planet !!
This is one of the coolest and most beautiful places I have ever seen! We can learn so much from this school and the way they sustain the whole place. Absolutely incredible :) I'm also loving the steady cam, Louis :D
honestly preach Raya because i totally agree with what you said about the math bridge. We should be putting toward good use like building things and working instead of failing our class because we understand the math we just have very bad test anxiety...

I totally agree with that
I doubt that there are other schools like that in existence, especially in the west
and what's ironic here, is that you can find schools like these in places/regions where the environment are preserved and not being adulterated, instead of finding them in highly industrialized places. sad truth.
those are really "well-educated" youngsters. a bit awkward though to get inspired by the younger ones. :)
I go to this school, and we get that a lot ;)
It's a really great school
I feel like I just saw the future and I'm in love with it
+Randy Haripersad I know right! Totally what we should aspire to 😊
love that place though :) that's really something to get inspired by
Well.. He is a vegan, so thats a pretty significant thing he does to better the enviroment.
Not only is that school incredible but those students are *awesome*.
aw stop ittt xxx
Vivienne Gucwa regarding the school, wow
thanks!
I go to that school! and it is an amazing school! i love that school so much

Those are the kinds of kids who are going to be the change we need in the world, they give me hope. We need more people who car about our home. Live the adventure louis!

Im so jealous of people that go to this school and the architecture behind it, truly mind blowing
Ikr? especially that the the school itself is located in Bali, Indonesia.
Nisa Hilmi i wish it was like this here in US. im sad my childhood wasnt this adventurous and the enviroment would make you wanna go to school even more
The guy with the black thrasher sweater is my brother!! I'm so sad I was already at home!! So sad I couldn't meet you guys! Greenschool is amazing!

That place is beautiful. I wouldn't mind going to school there.
Also, if the kid's website is working, you should link it :)

aviamerta you should be so proud being a part of history. people will look at you guys for inspiration in the future. thank you for being so contributing! doing the world proud ✌👊✊
She's the teacher in video Broo .. 😂😂😀
Seeing schools and kids that open minded always gives me hope for better future. Thanks for sharing the experience with the world.
Favorite intro yet 🍽🤓 crazy architecture. So glad you brought the drone. View from above was 👌 nice little transitions between the shots too
I wish we had schools like that here in the States; our entire ecosystem and environment would be in such a better condition!
Waldorf schools are similar (kinda)
Ana Banana that would be the best part xD each one of these kind of schools would be designed uniquely to each state's environment! I would envision that in one of them would be located completely underground!
Lol this school is only for the rich kids dude. Most of locals just go to standard American like schools
OMG YES! SAM!
I wish the whole world was like this school and that everyone was like these kids !
This might sound weird, but I had such pride knowing that this gorgeous school was built by a canadian, not just because I'm canadian myself but it shows how we can unite to help each other.

Thanks so much for your kind words. I want to visit your lovely country soon :)
Joanne Sabourin
Please comeeeee. i would love to show you some interesting places in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta, because i live there :)
I agree, i Think this is one of the best schools in the World. I really want to visit Indonesia. I will go to Philippines this Winter. Next time it will be Indonesia and Laos. I definately want to visit this school.
It is a work of art, in more ways than one :)
my old classmate goes there! he left our school in HK last year and moved to Green school in Bali!
harry?
Now this is cool! Not only the architecture but also the way children are taught. I hope this will be the norm one day.
Completely agree! One of the MOST inspirational locations and ideas I have seen in your adventures! Amazing!

That is the the BEST SCHOOL EVER! We will need more like this.. Well done guys and for showing us this..
So incredibly inspirational and so refreshing to see our youth doing such positive things with their lives! I would love to go but could not afford. Utterly blown away and speechless, favorite vlog ever, hands down. Thanks so much for sharing this Louis.
WOW! I was expecting some tiny little four sided bamboo structure. That was incredible! #mindblown.
That school is amazing! I watched the same TED talk you did Louis, and it's definitely inspiring. Loved your tour too.
I love Raya's dress, need it in my life! That bamboo structure is such a good idea!
This is awesome! I'm feeling really lost and stuck at the moment with school and work en future stuff and this is just so nice to see. You guys are so inspirational and I love that we can follow your adventures. Truely Thank you!
What an amazing school, teachers, and students! How about Rayas lovely dress!?
I absolutely love this idea! We need more of this everywhere! Thank you to the lady for inviting you to that wonderful school, and thank you Louis for having showcased it to us! 👌
6:34 19 kids with 4 teachers?! That's amazing!! In the Netherlands u often see 1 teacher for 25-30 children. What an amazing school!
wonderful ...I taught for 40 yrs...never in a such an inspirational space...
it looks like the place where we were in sumatra. it's called bukit lawang. and it's a place where you can go and watch oerang oetans
Honestly if I could attend that school I would actually enjoy school.
That's not a massive spider. That's what we call a massive NOPE of NOPE proportion
the species is not poisonous and only eats small insects, we used to fry and eat them.
JP 9gag?

Awesome Place! Reminded me of my town surroundings in Assam :) Greenery, Tea Plantations, Bamboo huts and beautiful bamboo handicrafts.
i was that kid with the white creamy shirt, thanks loui for letting me come along on the tour!!
That is just amazing. ... the school being so sustainable as well as the students learning but also putting into practice ideas of science and math... building a bridge or a business to save endangered species.. . truly amazing and gonna watch that Tedtalks vid!

Sten Lahek and... you are?
+Sten Lahek yes!! Although it's a fun working environment, it can be extremely exhausting at the end of the day
OMG thanks for sharing this!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Green School!!!

hey Louis, im from indonesia, and i suggest you to come to Manado,Indonesia. You can search it on google
This is so cool! Wish there were more paces like this!
I would LOVE to do that maths class!! So much more practical and ingenious!
the green school dream school for my kids if we were ever to move to Bali. you should also check out their green village. great tour
I live in Jakarta and I was SOOO shook when I heard your in balii!!! I can't believe that you went to green school Bali.. OMG❤️ I went there for my camp to Bali for school and it was such a surreal place I LOVE IT THERE AND I LOVE YOU💕💕💕

I would of been so much happier at a school like this! no wonder the students are so inspired look at their environment!!!
2 years ago I had the privilege to visit this school during a school trip...it's truly an amazing school!
Wow that school is amazing! Very inspiring.
Hey louis!!! I am from singapore!! I have been to bali and the green school on 2014 or 2015... that school was amazing 😊😍
This is one of the coolest and most beautiful places I have ever seen! We can learn so much from this school and the way they sustain the whole place. Absolutely incredible :)
I'm also loving the steady cam, Louis :D
Magnificent school
honestly preach Raya because i totally agree with what you said about the math bridge. We should be putting toward good use like building things and working instead of failing our class because we understand the math we just have very bad test anxiety...
I like the bridge it looks futuristic with natural touch. bamboo wow
Fantastic school! Thanks for bringing us Louis
This is the future, thanks louis for sharing this to us
I did a project on bamboo as a building material in engineering school. It works great structurally, but it does need to be treated chemically for rot, and if used in harsher climates shipping would outweigh any savings in carbon emission.
Totally taken back by the whirlpool powered generator. Crazy! I will have to include bamboo to my dream house as it looks way to cool resist.
you are a great person with your soul and plan in life
Honestly I don't know when I'll have my kids but if there aren't more schools like these by the time I have them I'm sending their asses to this school 😱😱😍
Its beautiful what these people are doing. Education is so important!
I love this place! I knew it since the first begining...They can say Thank you(!!!) to AKUO Energy who did (For Free) all the installations (Hydro/Solar...) and taught them to become totally (90%) self-sufficient in energy! It was a fantastic and totally inovant project.
The school is 220,000 US dollars a year!!!!
That's IDR, its actually about $15,400 USD a year according to their site
It would probably be way more expensive if it was in a more developed country, but as a comparison the US government spends between 6 and 20k per student per year depending on what state you're in. I'm guessing they save a lot of money on labour(including teachers), 3-4 teachers per kindergarten class with less than 30 people sounds impossible otherwise.
Really enjoying the vlog, great job.
wow would have loved to go to a school like that! great video Louis!
