My question. Did the drone work afterwards when it was all dried out? My guess is that it sadly didn't work. I was really not optimistic when I saw the battery start lighting up ON IT'S OWN but wasn't sure if it would work or not. That's twice it was immersed in water.
The drone will probably be alright. The Phantom 3s have a lens cover that unscrews if you want to add a filter of some sort. I don't know if the Phantom 4s are the same. If they are, then removing the lens cover to dry out the cavity behind it would help. If that's the first time you've crashed it, you're way ahead of the curve. They're remarkably resilient :-) I wouldn't tap the battery so hard as you did .. they have delicate circuit boards in them :-)
That happens above water sometimes, because the downward facing cameras get screwed up by the water reflections causing it to think it needs to change elevation.
Get yourself a pack (or a sack of rice), put it in a container along with your drone and its battery (detach all of the components), then close the container's lid. Keep it for about a day. It would absorb the moist from inside the drone that heat/hot air can't get through. You're lucky you're in Bali, rice is cheaper.

Next time you ran out of gasoline in a rural-ish area, look for small shops (or warung they call it) that sells gas on vodka bottles on the side of roads. Buy just enough to get you to the nearest gas station, as they're resold by local shopowners to provide quick access to gas in the area thus a bit more pricey. Some might have "Perta-mini" written on it (it's a twist of the gas company Pertamina, but like, mini cuz they only provide a quick solution to empty gas tanks haha!)
I hope your Drone Works!!!! You could unscrew the drone lens filter to dry the inside of the lens next time, if you crash again, hope not!! I just rode my eBike on the Beach in Malibu, Check it out!!!!
About the drone crash... It seems ground effect above the water was enough to confuse the altimeter and cause the drone to "correct" for what it believed to be an uncontrolled change in altitude. This happens a lot close and low near bodies of water, seemingly irrespective of size or weather conditions. As a rule, I never let a drone get closer than 3 meters from any water. :)

the earthquake episentrum is not in bali but in the sea of south malang. east java. it is a 6,3 Ritcher earthquake tho, so it is indeed a pretty big one. i live in malang so yeah.

Earthquakes are normal there because it's part of the Pacific Ring of Fire.
yup earthquakes are pretty common here in Bali I felt it too a couple days ago but thankfully it was a short & small one !
