1- I saw some videos that says statins is like an inhibitor/antagonist of k2,
      Any study about this???
2- Heared that other studies says that in 12 to 24 month between k2 vs placebo didn't find any difference, but don't specify if is mk7 or the others
DOES THE TENTACLES OF THE PHARMACEUTICALS GOT INVOLVED IN THOSE STUDIES??,LIKE THEY ARE ON THEIRS TO GET APPROVED WITH THE FDA??,.
I really knows how this works,I worked for 20 years for different pharmaceuticals, thank you and this is a very good topic to discuss...

Had a Dr. appt. My regular Dr. was on Vacation & I saw a substitute. Got around to vitamin use & I mentioned taking D3 & K2. She jumped down my throat stating there was only a Vitamin K & no such thing as a K2 & it doesn't remove Calcium from the blood & place it back in the bone. I didn't argue the point & never would see her again.

When the liver converts vitamin K1 into vitamin K2, which form does it create: MK4 or MK7? The answer is: MK4. MK4 is the form of K2 that the liver itself creates when it converts K1 to K2. Vitamin E (tocotrienols) aids the liver in this conversion process. So if you're getting lots of tocotrienols (NOT tocopherols) then you should have enough K2 in your system.
The best food that contains isolated tocotrienols is annatto. Dr. Barrie Tan has several very good videos on this super food uploaded to RUclips.

The MK-7 form is long chain, difficult to reach the brain.
MK-4 is also well absorbed. Since it is rapidly distributed throughout the body, it is rapidly withdrawn from the blood. The low half-life does not indicate that it is ineffective. MK-4 reaches the brain.

Dr Hashmi, I've heard that K2 may be able to improve vertigo / BPPV. The mechanism mentioned was .. due to the number of vitamin D receptors in the inner ear and K2's calcium action. In other words, if there is calcium buildup in the inner ear, might K2 collaborate with or enhance the vitamin D receptors there, thus possibly removing inner ear excess calcium that may be causing vertigo. Please comment on this, if possible. Gratitude 🌸

Taking K2(mk7) combined with 1,000 IU of D3 in a combined capsule but then I also take an extra 5-7500 IU's of D3 at the same time. Is this a good strategy/formula in terms of the amount for supplementing vitamin D?

Dr Hashmi very interesting subject ! Always get asked by patient if K is good and good to know the benefit and difference and question if interaction with blood thinners ? And side effect on GI system ! Thanks for your hard work and time dedicated to share all this great information and knowledge with all of us !

Vitamin K2 is well tolerated and safe. It certainly does interfere with Vit K based antagonists such as coumadin and should not be used.

Hi Dr... I've been taking MK7 and Vit D3 for about a year now and my dental hygenist noticed a dramatic decrease in plaque..... also Haven't goteen sick in that time.... I was wondering since Vitamin K2 is beneficial for the heart , is it also good for possibly preventing strokes as they run in my family

The short answer would be theoretically yes since the goal is to ensure flow in your blood vessels and reduce calcification.

Hi doctor, thank you for your videos. Can you please do video on losing protein in urine. What are the treatments out there doc. How to stop. I am very young and I don't want to do kidney biopsy. Can please please doctor do the video how to stop n what are the treatments or medication out there ? Thank you again doctor!

    • @SELFPrinciple
      @SELFPrinciple  2 года назад

If you have protein in the urine, getting a biopsy is important to know what the underlying cause is. Once we know, there are lots of treatments we can use (food and medications). Biopsy procedures are a lot safer now and there is very little discomfort.

Natto sounds revolting and not seen it for sale where I live. I get K2 from Kerrigold (or Tescos organic) butter as these are the only one I know of which come from pasture raised cows. Also from eggs from pasture raised hens. I take mk7 also when I take D3 as we have to take it for 6 months of the year in the UK as the sun is so weak. It's also in liver 🤮.
