- This is probably the easiest, and my favourite method to making plates. Using a piece of PVC pipe or something similar, you can throw pottery plates on the potter's wheel easily, efficiently and consistently.
This is a pottery hack, but one that could make your life easier if you want to make a set of plates and have them look as close to the same size and thickness as possible.
