Ive got a big Eco Drive softspot. Great grab and go watches that never let you down. Thanks for watching and for your comment. Much more Citizen content to come 😉
I love the pilot watch and I was looking for a sun burst green dial watch. But I don't like the quartz movement, and 42mm case is too big for my 6 inch wrist... That's too bad. T_T
Honestly crystal scratches dont bother me that much, especially on field watches. I would prefer sapphire or even acrylic (so you could use polywatch) but at the cost I don't think its necessary. Scratches add character!
This isn’t a field watch…this is a type a 1941 flieger watch with a date complication, well executed by Citizen. No wonder it looked familiar!
Thanks! Just ordered it from your Italy retailer. Great review and thanks for putting the link in the description.
At 2.52, Seiko movement was mentioned.
Sweet and clean looking Citizen. Too bad it’s 42mm. If it was 36-40mm would’ve been heaven
what's weird is that a lot of the non-diver above 40 are usually quarts. This would be a very amazing everyday watch at 36-40
Then buy BM8180 it's 37mm and very similar.
Because two milimeters make a huge difference 🤦
Very Nice. I love eco drive, they are reliable. Best regards from Brazil.

@@hammondwatch2808 I will love to watch everything!! Thank you very much.
I love the green dial and 42mm is my sweet spot. Thanks for the review 👍

Such a beauty❤!
Thanks for the review. I just ordered one.
Nice. It's a really sharp watch.
What do you think about the glass? Is it a scratch-magnet? I have a watch with a domed mineral glass and had scratches after 10 minutes ... :-(

@@hammondwatch2808 I hate scratches on the glass and on the watch itself, especially when the watch is brand new! :-)
4:09 you did this watch dirty with that lume shot.
Yeah I could have shot it better but in general its not the strongest application. Might do a SOTC video and run back through some lume shots.
How long does the lume glow in the dark?
Hard to put a number to it but you get a few (3-4ish) hours before its tricky to read.
What size strap will fit this watch?
21mm
Nice watch, but wish they'd make more watches at 38-40mm
I wish everybody did.
Try the Citizen BM8180=03E. It is a similar look but smaller diameter.
How much do they cost you now?
When I find them in stock theyre under 200. Gioia Pura and Jomashop are good places to check
which is better, black or green?
Black is probably better if youre going to use it as your primary. In a collection of 5+, green for sure.
@@hammondwatch2808 I just received my order , citizen AW-1620-21E, black dial, very elegant, thanks to your suggestion
Seiko movement? In a Citizen? I highly doubt that, Citizen are quartz masters, it's like a BMW mounted a Mercedes engine
If 42mm look like that in your hands, your hands are huge...
If it didn't have those horizontal lines next to each digit, it would be perfect. I think they ruin the design.
Youre right, idk what they are thinking putting the lines
42mm!? That's too big, in my opinion
It would have been nice to see multiple sizes.
@@hammondwatch2808 38mm!
@@eightosaurusspelunk1598 100% but the lugs would need to be 20mm. Not a fan of 19mm or 18mm.
@@hammondwatch2808 True. 20 is king
