Great demonstration - the SiOnyx XQE1350 detector has high quantum efficiency across a very broad wavelength 300 to 1200nm e.g. it "sees" visible light, near infrared and into short wavelength infr red.
You Still have them? Would love to see what they show when you enter a marina at night and moore. Can you see the (finger) piers and bollards and/or the neighbor you have to park alongside? I use PTZ cams now with infrared, and they perform very well, but I would love to see "almost daylight" when docking to be sure. I have installed docking lights on all sides of the boat, so that works fine, but when at sea and entering a seaport the land lights make it very difficult to find the entrance on eye sight. Luckily the plotter is always there, but extra view would be great.
In low-light docking situations, the Sionyx Nightwave delivers a true "daylight" like image. I now have a Nightwave installed on both of my boats. One boat is Nightwave only, while the other boat has both a Nightwave and Black Oak Nitron XD. For 99% of the night-boating that I do, the Nightwave is a far better choice than the Nitron XD.
Even just a single Nightwave would have helped you find the entrance of Seaport Zeebrugge easily and enter it with more confidence. For the actual docking, I imagine your use of multiple PTZ cameras with docking lights is a more practical solution while you're "tank turning" and maneuvering with thrusters. If Sionyx made a PTZ (or even just PT) version of the Nightwave, that would be the best of both worlds for sure! Supertof materiaal! Geabonneerd!
Love it. I'm going to grab a Nightwave for sure. Thank for this.
Nightwave for the win

Nightwave is the better choice, it has better low light capability, sees in color and has a smoother framerate.
i wonder how a dahua/hikvision IR CCTV camera would fare against these options
Andy, Can you please reach out to us? I would love to see how our product stands against competitors. I am pretty active on all socials. Thanks

Only goes up to 1080P but composit video is 640x480 so why would the youtube video need to be any higher than that?
ANy videos using IR light?
nice
,which one is better? The right video is a little delay.
