- The Nightwave Night Vision Camera system by SIONYX is poised to introduce a new generation of boaters and anglers to the luxury of safe navigation after dark. The Nightwave CMOS Sensor technology is available in a fixed-mount camera designed to integrate with your existing multi-function display unit. Using any available ambient environmental light such as the moon and stars in conjunction with local man-made waterfront light, the Nightwave sensor provides an impossibly bright view of the water ahead and exposes any potential hazards to navigation.
Whether you’re fishing after dark or simply trying to get your family home safely at the end of a long day, the Nightwave clearly reveals the route in front of you providing a measure of security previously costing many thousands of dollars. From the smallest river skiff to larger outboard-powered center consoles, the SIONYX Nightwave brings affordable 24-hour boating into the light of day.

So glad YOU can see so well. It would be better if we can see the unit work. Total waste of time!
Would have been great to show a longer view of traveling in the dark so one can really get a better feel for how it really works. Every video I have seen for this device is 2 second views.
but so many frames of the speaker's beautiful faces... haha, seriously, who would think that we would want to see more videos of the actual footage. What a waste of time.
@@peekay331 maybe that is your opinion, but before I waste $1500 on something, I want to see some real life scenarios instead of hearsay.
@@Grady252 I totally agree with you. My comment was tongue-in-cheek. I don't want to see their faces, I want to see the actual footage. There was so much wasted time in this video of them talking about the product and showing video frames of their faces instead of what we all really want, the actual footage, preferably side-by-side with footage of how dark it is in real life. Fortunately, I watched this video in 1.5 speed so didn't waste too much of my time.
By the way, if you're handy, I think you can substantially replicate this device with a $60 night time drone camera. Look up videos of the runcam night owl as well as fpv night flying cameras. I think I am going to go that route because it's just much cheaper for how much I'm going to use this device.
@@peekay331 Yep - long on talk and short on good views!
You didn't say anything about the camera, how it works, tilt,, swivel, how it connects, nothing. Worthless info. Anyone can PS and image on the screen.
THIS IS ALMOST 2024 SO WHERE ARE THE 360 DEGREE VERSIONS OF THIS CAMERA AT .
No infrared, it will not work with fog or snow🙃
What about open ocean with no light pollution around?
It works the ocean. If there is ANY ambient light it will magnify it. Moonlight or starlight will work. It will not work in a windowless closet but it takes very little light to achieve the desired result. I'd recommend it for any boating application. This device greatly exceeded my expectations.
Sucks offshore
Will this still work with infrared leds?
I’d like to see this side by side with black oak nitron.
Blackoak is far more sensitive to low light

What is the latency like?
fantastic product that works!!
Does it work in fog?
Not
No. Radar!
$1600
"Running" video at only 5Kts? Seriously
Seriously. I'm not sure how showing it going fast would differ. Remember you have a cameraman hand holding equipment and trying to maintain a steady shot without any need for adjustments. And "running" a boat doesn't mean going fast, once a boat is underway whether at idle or full speed you are running the boat. We did run fast this night a number of times and the equipment worked really well regardless of speed.
I believe I read it has a range of about 500ft. So if running at say 25mph you have about 13 seconds to react to an obstacle. Not sure that is safe running.
