@@yvonnepalmquist8676 Now u don't have to buy garbage bags! Reduce, reuse, recycle! I use the plastic grocery store bags for my actual garbage. Most of my stuff gets recycled or composted. It may seem silly but we use our grocery bags as trash bags for our bathrooms. Doesn’t look the best but beats throwing them away or buying special bags just for bathrooms! Love watching you all together. My mom and I both enjoy watching your channel and I am doing my first freezer meal prep tomorrow😬
YES!! And all our bathroom cans seem to be slightly different sizes. So smaller bags, like the 4L milk bag (Canada) work well in one room, a slightly bigger bag in another. Side note: Our grocery stores charge 5c for plastic bags, so re-usable bags are a frugal MUST!! This also helps reduce the plastic coming into the house, for sure.
Christine, your mom is precious! It’s so funny how she seems to have grown to love the camera more. I think it’s wonderful she will let you help her and takes your advice. You two always seem to have so much fun together!
I had a smile on my face the whole time. This video makes we want to organize my pantry! Also if anybody does this, the plastic bags typically don’t go into regular recycling, so I would check your local recycling facility. It’s not a big deal if you make other mistakes but thin plastics really mess up the factory line at those facilities, they get stuck in the machines and they have to shut them down in the middle of the day to pry them out. I think supermarkets usually have a specific recycling for those bags. Or you can use them for small waste bins, which is what I do
I think the number one agreement most folks miss is: Retweaking is coming, plan to rethink/evaluate this thing (pantry, laundry, clothing closet, office desk, etc.). So often we move in, set things up, then never revisit and it is only when it is failed or we have to reassign the space for something else or we have to move/downsize that we revisit the system. Then feel guilt over the failed system, when in reality we didn't do the retweak periodically to keep the system functional. Today's Insight...
Couldn’t agree more. Priorities change, interests change, family numbers change, outside responsibilities change, and adapting physical storage systems to ease the challenges of those changes is anything but a failure of the system being adapted.
This is my favorite organization video ever! I couldn't even get started on my dishes...just stood there watching and smiling. I loved watching you and your mom do this together!
I have to recommend “Do It On A Dime” bc this is her specialty!! Also, her idea of cheap round laundry baskets on wheels for the bottom floor shelf storage!
I absolutely LOVED this video! You and your Mom are adorably hysterical together! You both did a great job in the pantry. I'm glad you referenced Cas' Clutterbug organizing style. Trying to work with an organizing system that doesn't match us is doomed to fail. Any chance you'll do more videos together? Please? XXOO ❤️ ❤️
The pantry looks amazing!! I love watching you with your mom! I lost my mom 4 years ago to Alzheimer's when I was 33. We never got to have this type of relationship once I was an adult. Your mom has similar physical features to my mom and I can only imagine this is what we would have been like together given the time.
The large clear bins from Walmart are a game changer! I re-organized my pantry after you did the original pantry organization video several months ago using the bins. They work great and my pantry has stayed as organized as when I first did it.
I can’t love this enough! I love seeing your mom and Christine you are such a great daughter! At one point I thought it was my daughter talking as she helped me purge & organize.
I truly enjoyed this video with your Mom! This reminded me of what my sister and I did for our Mom and watching this today made me laugh out loud to myself. Today is the third anniversary of her passing but watching this put a smile on my face.
Your relationship to your mom is similar to mine with my mom. We laugh all the time. I love seeing your mom on the channel. I can see where you get your good humor.
Plastic bags are now banned in the State of Washington. Paper bags are .08 cents now and going up if you don't bring your own. I find ways to use them.
This was so informative, and helpful. My pantry really needs to be cleaned and organized, too. Love how you two laughed and giggled a lot. Made me think of my Mom and how much I miss her. She and I would have had a blast doing something like this. 🥰
You and your mom are so cute together! It is so interesting to see what other people buy and like; especially items that I don’t buy or have. Your mom had a lot of pasta and I don’t buy enough pasta. That is hilarious. I think she should have kept the Abercrombie and Fitch shopping bag because I would have. Just sayin’ 🤷🏾♀️ BTW: when you asked Alexa to play that Sugar Cult (?) song, my Alexa answered you by suggesting a station based on the song “Sugar” by Maroon 5! 😝😆🤣😂
It's Sugarcult. They were a one hit wonder in the early 2000s, not sure of the exact title, something like "Bouncing Off the Walls." And I just looked them up and they had 2 hits, the other one being titled "Pretty Girl." I remember both these songs well.
Great job! I loved when you pulled out the plastic box of neatly folded smaller baggies, handing them to your mom to put them in the bag recycling, and she says, “I’ll go through them.” 😀 You two are terrific together! I hope my 16-year old and I have sort of relationship when we’re a bit older. 🌷
OMG, every time you have your mom in a video, I love her more and more - if that's even possible - given some (most?) of the products in her pantry! Not to mention, she's riot, and it almost seems like you're her sidekick/second banana! Great tips and tricks and hacks and love the final outcome!
Christine, I look forward to ALL of your video...BUT...the ones with your family (especially Mom) makes me the happiest. I lived 2300 miles from my mother just about all of my adult life...come to think of it, most all of my family too. I think living close to family brings so much joy and that laughing has to contribute to a longer life. Don't stop, as I lost my 90 year old mother a week before her 91st. I miss the time we did have when I was in High School before moving to California. More videos with Mom please!!
I love seeing the fun and playful relationship between you and your mom! I hope to have this kind of relationship with my daughter when she gets older. It’s been nice watching her get more comfortable in front of the camera as well!
You are so fun and it is even more fun to watch when you have family members on with you! Many don't have walk in pantries. If you ever have a friend or relative who has one of the ones that are part of the ktichen cabinets with glide-out drawers, I'd love to see you organize one of those. Haven't found a great way yet...
It's so important to find what works for you. I organized my pantry (it's a smaller closet pantry) and for me the game changer was trading out the lazy suzans for the tiered shelves. I have the builder grade wire shelving, so to make the tiered shelves sit properly I cut pieces of foam core from the Dollar Tree and covered it with shelf liner. It's been SOOOO much easier to keep organized. I didn't really make huge changes.
I came upon your channel accidently and I'm so glad that I did. I enjoyed the mom/daughter relationship that you have. I hope that we see more of your mom in other vlogs. You and your mom are hilarious, Christine! This was so fun and the pantry turned out so good. Our styles of organizing are similar: Functional over pretty. Great video!!!
Loved the jokes, energy and most of all your mom! You both have beautiful souls and this video gave me some ideas for things that could work for my pantry reorganization. Thanks again, Christine!
I love seeing you and your mom together. She’s a hoot! Love how her pantry turned out. It looks so organized. I think she may have found some joy in the fact it’ll work well for her. Did you let her keep the man bag? 😂
The pantry is amazing, I am going to show it to my husband, he is the pantry organizer in our house. You and your mom look exactly alike, both adorable.
Christine I love your content! You're so fun, relatable and don't take this whole RUclips career thing too seriously - it's refreshing! Your mum and the rest of your family give so much to it too and it warms my heart to see your relationships with them in your videos! I don't think I'll ever stop watching your content!
I like the way you offer your Mom a decision, instead of just saying get rid of it. Let’s not talk about taking everything out of the pantry, then putting it all back in. Thanks for the video.
My clients all have way too much because they've spent lots of money and they didn't even realize that their pantries were full of bags, food items and it's amazing how once organized you can save them 3 months worth of buying if they just use what they have. Great job and your mother is a gem
Every time I watch a video demonstrating how to organize kitchen cabinets, drawers and pantries, I think it’s just crazy causing double work putting food into individual containers. 😱 Your big bin solution is much more practical and time saving. 👍🏼
This was great! When I had Covid-19 my daughter came from Cali to Indiana to organize my whole house! She did so much purging! When I got home hospital / rehab I didn’t really miss what she tossed!! Love that girl! Worked herself to frazzle. Up date I’m so disorganized that a few months later she was back. Not sure but I think she rolled her eyes at me😂 I really love her, did so much and never complained ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just love you two together!! This was such a fun video to watch, I smiled the entire time. Also, thank you for making me feel like I’m doing something right in my pantry! I also organize by groups so it so refreshing to see a professional do the same. 😊
Seriously, send all the bags to Washington state! There is a ban on 'single use' bags so stores charge 8 cents per bag if you forget to bring your own. The struggle is real! Love this video!
I love the bag collection! I about died when mom uttered “put it somewhere safe!” My grandma taught us that….it means you can’t find it when you go to find it again! Lol
Loved this!!! Also that little terracotta disk in the sugar is supposed to absorb water to keep the sugar from clumping. You don't soak it in water, it has to be dry when you put it in there. Lol
Omg... your Mom is the darn cutest!! 💗💗💗 It just warmed my heart to watch her get so excited about getting everything put in a way, and place, that she felt would be much more practical & useful!!
Such a joy to watch the relationship between daughter and mom. She wasn't pushy at all and respected the mom's decision, hence it was a mutually happy makeover... Rather than a " I know what's best for you... I'll do it my style" makeover. Really nice.
Mom: careful with so many nuts. The nut oils can go rancid. They keep fresh in the pantry unopened for 6 months. In the fridge for 1 year and the freezer for 2 years. I put the nuts in the original packaging in a freezer ziplock bag, or a plastic container in my deep freezer. I don't use a lot of nuts except during the holidays.
@SJS Right on. Have you ever smelled a three pound bag of rancid English Walnuts? My whole life flashed before me. I buy what I need from Walmart now, just before I bake, which is seldom.
1 I love the videos with your mom. You two are such a joy. 2 The grouping bin method of pantry organization. OMG yes! I got cheap dish tubs at Target $3 and with a label exactly what I needed. I keep opening the pantry doors just to admire it now. So the whole organized pantry does give me joy. 😂
Your video is my favorite pantry video ever. I've watched many videos on organizing a pantry looking for ideas. They usually require spending too much money. They also are typically about making it all look the same. But your video is truly user friendly and something that your mom can maintain. Using clearish bins as small drawers is smart because you can still SEE your food. I absolutely APPRECIATE you sharing this video!❣
I love those bins!! After I watched one of your videos from a few months ago, I've been on the hunt for those dang fabulous bins. Where I live only 1 WM carries them, so if you're not there shortly after they put them out...you're outta luck. I've been lucky enough to score 6 of them. THANK YOU for showing them!!!!!
Loving being able to watch "normal" family interaction...a joy!! Remember when you were going into your own pantry....terror in your eyes....but in your Mom's....you stepped up to the plate...again... just a joy to see happy people....Thanks for the happiness.....!!
Great job!!!! I admit...I wanted to see the food wraps/foils stored in open-front bins that stacked to make more room on the top shelf. I struggle with limited storage space in our little house (no extra store room, butler's pantry, or basement), which is why we've chosen to have higher bedframes and use bedskirts to hide bins, etc. This video is delightful and fun! Thanks for sharing!
That clutterbug quiz was so fun. I was a Bee and my husband was a Cricket. I love that you were able to tackle the whole pantry fast. I think those bins and wire shelves made a huge difference. I feel like I could have a pantry as big as my whole kitchen, due to large items that aren't used enough. Luckily we have storage downstairs for those items. Glad your mom has that as well. It's always such a great feeling when you get a whole area organized.
I loved seeing you help your mom using Dana White's decluttering, Cas' clutterbug category and Dawn's lower inventory. They are my three go to to help me in my house and it was great to see a video from a different creator using their methods. Thanks so much! Great job!
What a pair you two are! I giggled through this video...she you get older you will appreciate what a delight you both are! I hope you took some photos! After I had a couple of heart surgeries my daughter came and reimagined our pantry so I know how much your mom will appreciate a fresh, beautiful pantry!

You have the coolest and sweetest mom ever. She is precious.
I love seeing you and your mom together. She’s a hoot! Love how her pantry turned out. It looks so organized. I think she may have found some joy in the fact it’ll work well for her.
Did you let her keep the man bag? 😂
I think they kept it to put Target bags in.
Your mother is so endearing!!
I have to know what happened to the "Man bag". Such a fun video. Your mom is so fun, loved this video!
The pantry is amazing, I am going to show it to my husband, he is the pantry organizer in our house. You and your mom look exactly alike, both adorable.
You two are hilarious! Enjoy your time with your mom!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I loved the interaction with your mom, please organize and film more rooms of her home for all of us to enjoy
Loved the fun relationship you guys have. Lots of laughter but lots getting done too.
My clients all have way too much because they've spent lots of money and they didn't even realize that their pantries were full of bags, food items and it's amazing how once organized you can save them 3 months worth of buying if they just use what they have. Great job and your mother is a gem
As a fellow "butterfly" I appreciate this pantry re-do so much! Great job and thanks for the tips and the laugh out louds!
I am a butterfly, too. 100%. I am at work, too. My desk has stacks everywhere and post-it notes.
Every time I watch a video demonstrating how to organize kitchen cabinets, drawers and pantries, I think it’s just crazy causing double work putting food into individual containers. 😱 Your big bin solution is much more practical and time saving. 👍🏼
This was so cute I love y’all together I have enjoyed fixing my pantry and those wire shelf’s are amazing. Now I want those bins. 💛
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love your mom!!!! She's so cool and fun. We should all hope to be like her when we get older.
Seriously, send all the bags to Washington state! There is a ban on 'single use' bags so stores charge 8 cents per bag if you forget to bring your own. The struggle is real! Love this video!
I LOVE YOUR MOM!! Your videos are already can't miss but when she's joining you it's like..."hold my calls! I'm with Christine and her mom!"
I love the bag collection! I about died when mom uttered “put it somewhere safe!” My grandma taught us that….it means you can’t find it when you go to find it again! Lol
I am so jealous right now. Organizing a pantry is my jam! Btw, your momma is adorable!
Loved this!!!
Also that little terracotta disk in the sugar is supposed to absorb water to keep the sugar from clumping. You don't soak it in water, it has to be dry when you put it in there. Lol
Good tip, unless you want your brown sugar to ferment into "alkehol." Love how she said that.
According to the instructions that come with the disk, you ARE supposed to soak it in water before using. It keeps the sugar from becoming hard.
Omg... your Mom is the darn cutest!! 💗💗💗
It just warmed my heart to watch her get so excited about getting everything put in a way, and place, that she felt would be much more practical & useful!!
You guys made me laugh! Y'all reminded me of me and my girls doing a project. Shopping. Yes! Laughter. Oh yes plz!!
Such a joy to watch the relationship between daughter and mom. She wasn't pushy at all and respected the mom's decision, hence it was a mutually happy makeover... Rather than a " I know what's best for you... I'll do it my style" makeover. Really nice.
Watching another video, Christine posts a new video, immediately switches to Christine! 😆
We're soul-siblings 🤣
You are so sweet!
Love seeing you and your lovely momma together! You guys keep me laughing throughout the whole video! Two thumbs way up!!
Christine's Mom is the " I'm not hungry, I had almonds 7hours ago" mom 😂😂😂
Wow it looks awesome in mommas pantry.
Your Mom and you are absolutely gorgeous together! Great job of organizing.
Oh my goodness! You two are so adorable together!!
That’s cool that your Mom was so…ready to work with you to re-organizing her pantry. So..glad your both happy.
The Minimal Mum would be so proud of you both! ♥️ love from the UK xx
Awww your mom's just so cute. And you two together, I was cracking up!
Great job on the pantry! I am so happy to see your mom become more comfortable on camera because she is a riot!
What a precious daughter you are. How blessed your Mom must feel. You certainly blessed me while watching. Thanks for looking out for your Mom.
I LOVE YOUR MOM! She is the cutest!
So nice!!!!!! I would also say "decisions" is my main problem. Mom, you are not alone!! Sweet daughter!!
“Are you keeping this for personal reasons?” 🤣
I love videos with your mom! She’s a hoot!
So glad I tripped over your channel. Reminds me of how much my mom and I laughed together no matter what the situation. Also inspired me to clean out my pantry.
Your so kind to your Mom ❤
It's so fun that you and your mom can work together.
