I'm very new to handloading. When sourcing my reloading components l watched and read many reviews on the equipment, tools and components that I would need to" TRY " and develop accurate and reliable hunting ammunition for my 30-06. I purchased Foster FL seizing and micrometer seating dies. So far my load development has been and has exceeded my expectations in accuracy and velocity consistency, l attribute this to the quality in my equipment, not my handloading skills. If I get 1.5 thou of runout on my seated bullets I'm surprised, usually the needle barely moves. This has to be attributed to product quality. Gavin I have watched many of your handloading and equipment reviews videos sometimes two and three times and I can't tell you how much you have helped me in choosing equipment and understanding the reloading development process. Thank you so much and keep them coming.
Been using Forester reloading products for 50+ years and never been dissappointed. Nice Video.
yes I use Forster dies and have several sets, I have used them for many decades,
so long in fact most or mine are marked Bonanza.
I have used Bonanza dies set since 1978, the theory behind the seating dies provides the most accurate alignment.
I was on a waiting list to get a Forster full length sizing die in 28 Nosler for several months and finally received it a month ago. I’ve purchased Hornady, Redding, Forster and L E Wilson full length sizing dies to see which gave me the best concentricity. After receiving the Forster die I was shocked to see it was made of what appears to be cast iron and the threads for the locking ring was extremely ruff and in no way smooth to adjust for the head space I desire. The quality of their New sizing die is nothing like the old Forster dies I have. I certainly won’t be buying anymore
Got a Forster match seater (same type as shown) for my 6mm N BR, works great. If I buy another die set for a precision rifle, Forster is probably on the top of my list.
Also use Lee, RCBS and Redding dies, all work, but Redding and Forster is a step up.

I really like the Ultra Micrometer seating dies. When I was shooting across-the-course matches I loaded one bullet for 200/300 yards and another for 600. With the micrometer it was a simple matter to make the switch at the reloading bench.
I’ve yet to use any Forester products. Guess that’ll have to change. I’ve got a 6.5 Swede that’s been begging for attention. This video has steered the direction of my die purchase. Keep them coming!
I use a ton of Forster dies. Love em. That said we need a 6 ARC micrometer seating die. No more excuses. It's not that hard, but they are dragging their feet, which I don't like at all.
Love my Foster shoulder bumping, bushing Die and the Micro seating die.
Love the Forster Ultra Micrometer seater die's accuracy. I'm not a fan of the standard Forster Benchrest (non-micrometer) die because of the slop in it. The standard seater die will change seating depth by as much as 0.010" between rounds.
Great dies extremely consistent Forster provides excellent customer support.
Love my Forster micrometer dies. Both for the 204 and the 65Creed. Set their zero at 30 thou off of the leade and they remain locked until I need to change. They are amazing in their consistency. And the 10 round groups prove it.
just starting to reload, I have a Co-Ax press with Forster dies. I am going to test my dies before sending them in to have them honed.
Love Forster and Redding dies. Great products and very nice support, if needed from their callcenter 👍
Would have been interesting to see you run a case/seat a bullet through the cutaway dies on video and see what happens inside the die
I have a FL die for one caliber, and the Ultramicrometer seating die for another. The FL die is pretty amazing, and while the Ultramicrometer seater is great at what it does, the seating cup for the seating stem is notoriously thin - I've managed to flare one out, because the neck tension on some new brass made for too much seating force.
Use and Love their products.
Having said that I did have one of their FLS dies for 300wm that would scratch the crap out of my brass all the way to the belt.
My retailer was contacted and swapped it and since then the new one has been perfect. Guess they are human hey.
I use a Rockchucker with a honed Forster full-length sizer without expander spindle, and finish my necks with a 21st Century mandrel die. That’s an awesome combination.
Then I use my K&M arbor press to seat with micrometer Wilson chamber seater die. I also have the Forster seater but I get a couple thou better concentricity with the Wilson seater.
So far I've only bought RCBS and Lee dies, for me they do the jobs they're supposed to well enough.

Love my Forester dies. Would you be able to to review the short action custom modular resizing dies?
Forester dies are nice but the seating stem alway crack making them unpredictable in depth and bullet damage, so i no longer seat with them, constant headaches.
Love my micrometer seating dies. OTOH, just picked up a Forster full length sizing die in 6.5 Creedmoor. Not so happy with it. When sizing brass it is very rough. Also sizes the body more than my other Hornady Creedmoor die. This is with the expander ball and stem removed. Maybe I just got a bad example.
Yes I do. Bonanza B-1 Co-Ax with both Bonanza and Forster dies.
I've had a set of 25-06 and 300 win mag since they were owned by Bonanza. Good set of dies. Another better than Rcbs
I love my forster press its amazing and everything I want in a press. Forster sizing dies are also a great product. The forster "ultra" micrometer seating die, in my experiance. Is anythign less than ultra..

Forster seating dies in 6.5 Grendel and 6.5 CM work very well for me.
RCBS FL die stems are threaded all the way so I typically raise the expander ball as high as I can to replicate the performance of the Forster die. It won't punch out the primer so-adjusted but there's more than one way to skin that cat.
RCBS specs out their FL dies to the tightest chamber for each caliber. This means brass is unnecessarily worked to a small dimension. This is most evident in buffalo rifle cartridges.
@@albertthesecond210 It also means their dies will produce good results with brass that was fired in minimum-spec chambers, with no over-working of the brass.
Would be interested in seeing you run a case or three through those dies if you still have them at your disposal.. this was a good, say, 30,000 foot view of them.
The seater stem for 308 is terrible and leaves indentations on your bullet. So you have to order another 1 for your specific bullet. I switched back to my Lee seater die and all was good with all of my different bullets in 308. Suck I had to spend so much money on the forster seating die and then had to go back to Lee.
Forster is simply the best!!

Forester dies are decent quality and I rely on them, dillon and Hornaday dies
Do other lock rings work _acceptably_ in the Co-Ax, or are Forster rings required absolutely?
Some do. Others are too thick.
Sinclair also sells rings that are the same as the Forster ones, except they're made of steel. The Forster ones are aluminum. I have both and they both work, but I like the Sinclair ones better.

Alot. I use redding dies.
@@tallyman15 are you using Redding competition or match seating dies? Forster was the first to use the inner sleeve and spring in those style dies.
