Great story.
I think if humanity ever got passed our own selfish squabbles and united, continuously developed ever greater military capability.
With 8 billion people, over 10 billion predicted by 2040.
It would not be unimaginable if the world ended up with one united military with 1 billion soldiers, hundreds of thousands of planes (or futuristic jets of some sort) tanks, other military vehicles, and millions of missles. We would certainly be a force against our enemies
