Really appreciate the commentary of Strider. The Pete Mell/ Strider debates are a perfect addition. Keep them.
About the only decent commentary the WSL has
8.33? for that ride by John John Florence. 9.3 at least - the barrel was magic - a cut back above the rest. The judges are either asleep or biased.
Caios wave was maybe a 6.17, not an 8.17. The first turn was awful and sloppy and the lipline finish not very critical or clean. What this video does well is show you some of the overscores like that.
You should apply to be a professional judge.
what if to earn a 9 or more there needs to be aerials or barrells
