JJF should have had a 10 on that backdoor wave.
They really couldn't afford to give away that Yeti so early in the season I guess
Yago got a 10 for a spin, yet JJF'S barrel didn''t ? are they serious ?
In the context of the day.
@@andrewb5412well, in all honesty both of the waves are 10 in the context of the day
Yago shoulda got a 10 in the pool 🤷♂️
Stop complaining, jjf shouldn’t be 2x world champ 🍴
I know, probably 6x champ if uninjured, just watching that guy surf heavy waves is a privilege, no complaints here. Yago's surfing is insane @@juanmateon
Mendes laughing as Cal Robson pulls into that bomb is that good.
The WSL is going to miss Carissa Moore's presence on the tour this year. Hopefully it opens their eyes a little about the current format.
Fingers crossed for some better conditions in 2024! We were royally skunked this year. There were definitely some good days in there, but overall it has to be the worst year I can remember. What does El Nino mean for waves around the world? Is there a general trend we can anticipate?
Notice how many times you saw Carissa Moore and because of a technicality she wasn't the world champ, her entire year of insane surfing erased in one heat....what a joke.
Carissa Moore is the real champion
Defintely
Incrível
No waves from the GOAT? Curious!
First wave of Griff's....Nice turns but I see that calibre of surfing on the daily at D'Bah...
JJF got screwed
How was gabby doing the Macarena
Barely enough footage for a top 10. But hey, happy new year.
And too many overscored filipe waves to make sure he didn’t lose to the people surfing better than him
Something is not right if a surfer can be crowned world champion without perform at all (fear or lack of confidence or skill) in big dangerous hollow waves like pipe and teahupoo
New judges 😂 pissed they can waste sections do an air and get a 10 backasswards
griffins wave being a 9 is criminal those turns were so mid
For that comp it was worth the points.
Tricks get more points than tube rides? Surfing turning into skateboarding? 😂
Imagine the best waves from around the world from the past year not on tour from Nate Florence, Russel
Beirke, skeleton bay, shipsterns, Tahiti, Ireland etc
You know which one showcases surfing better and it's not this dribble from the WSL
I am sure i am not the only one thats lost intrest in watching this scripted circus
Disappointing and not all that
WSL is a straight joke… full year of the “24 or whatever best surfers” surfing the “best spots” and this is all they produce? See more sick rides at a single session at pipe or chopes on average days. WSL the worst thing thats ever happened to surfing commercializing a sacred and traditional polynesian activity just propogating colonialism and unnecesary aggression and egos in the water
