My mamaw would take them and put them in a pressure cooker for about 10/15 mins. Then let them rest for a little bit. Take them out and flour and black pepper them and fry them in a iron skillet. She made her dumplings out of the stock from the pressure cooker and gravy out the oil in the iron skillet. With some good homemade biscuits. Man o man I sure miss her cooking. Nice 410 you have there. Thanks stay safe. God Bless y'all.
410s are my fav rifle to use hunting squirrels. I have a 410 bolt action with 7 round clip I love it. And my land looks just like that in Oklahoma we have like 200 acres left of my Family Reservation land from my tribe. We use to hunt squirrels all the time but now they disappeared cant hardly find them anymore
When I saw you pull that model 42 out of the case, man it brought back so many memories! My dad got me the same gun when I was 6 years old. I'm 60 now and I still have that same gun. I've even killed a couple of turkey with it here recently. Killed many squirrels, rabbits and beer cans with that gun!
Try adding a splash of vinegar in your salt water soak. I think you'll like the results . This old man lived to hunt small game intact all game. Ever cook racoon , par boil it then roast in the oven. Spices salt pepper thyme onions carrots celery or celery flakes. Stuff it with apples peeled .Then roast in the oven covered for 45- 60 minutes on 400 degrees cking every 15 minutes to see if it needs water in pan. Take cover off during last 15 minutes to brown it some. This old man love the 410 for all small game.
I just want to say my family and I love your videos brother!!! My family and I just recently moved near Texarkana, Tx my wife’s hometown after retiring from the Air Force after 22 years and you have inspired me to take my 2 sons to the outdoors, thanks to your inspiration. Keep up the great work and if your ever up near this way feel free to contact us anytime. V/r CJ
@@marshmutt8975 thank you. I have two in 16 ga one my Grand fathers and the other my fathers. With the smaller stocks on my grandfathers gun, I presumed they were the same. I appreciate the knowledge.
Great vidja, just love squirrel but it who hard to get, but I cook them in a slow cooker in brown gravy and they are amazing! I wish we could hunt them here!
I loved hunting squirrels, in Tennessee, In the Mississippi River bottoms. Five years ago, I moved to south central Kentucky. Now, closest public hunting I have is a hour drive, one way. It sucks.
In a Tupperware container, chop an onion and add about a teaspoon meat tenderizer 2 teaspoons soya sauce 4 tablespoons roasted red pepper and garlic seasoning and 3 tablespoons oil. Shake it up vigorously or massage it together and let it sit overnight in the refrigerator. Sear it in a pot until it looks done then add about 2 cups of water and add chopped potatoes and carrots and about a teaspoon of salt and simmer for about an hour or so.. this is good for one squirrel. We have big fat black squirrels here in Canada. Preferably the type from a hardwood forest and definitely not a big fan of the ones from Cedar Forest
I used to use a 410 and even a 20 gauge to hunt squirrels too but I stopped using them cuz of all the pellets getting in the meat... you will bite at least 1 pellet but hopefully you don't swallow any. It's more fun and edible using a 22 with scope cuz it requires some stalking and more skill unlike a shotgun.
Fry them after par boiling till tender. Then make a couple boxes of uncle Ben's wild and white rice dinner on the stove. when done toss in a can of stewed tomatoes and some picked meat from your squirrels. mix in the picked meat. Put the rice and squirrel in some green peppers and top with fried squirrel pieces on the bone. Scoop the extra rice mix and squirrel around the peppers and pack the peppers in it. Use the tops of the peppers to hold in the heat. There will be moisture in the casserole so next step is to bake it at 350-375 for about 30 mins. Don't let it burn. If you do, you will have to order pizza.
Well no matter how's your styles in cooking thus squareals ,it's meat is always nice to take when you eat like your ways of cooking much seasoning on the meats
I like the red ones better than gray squirrels. They are easier to get cause they don't run as fast as grays. BUT in Iowa thats all i can find is grays and blacks.
You also need to take out the musk glands under the arms. I us a double barrel .410 ga to hunt Squirrels in Ms.Try using #4/ 3" . Good video.Thank,God Bless.

Good video on 410 for squirrels. I boght a new mossberg 500 410 tss turkey gun for squirrel hunting. I started reloading my 410 ammo too. Way cheaper too shoot. I use a full or mod choke depends on leafs. I use #5 or #6 shot 3 inch on squirrels and crow hunting.

Yessuh enjoy all the adventures but the squirrel hunting are the FAV!!!
Squirrel hunting with air guns is the best!
If you pressure cook the squirrel for 20 minutes and then flour and fry it, it will be more tender.
Boil those jokers for 20 mins before frying them. Great video.
Had to instantly click, the man with the modern mullet is a man you can trust
Absolutely love love love the squirrel hunting videos can’t get enough of them keep up the good work and I hope your family the best!!!❤️
So you must hate them?
@@Gieszkanne what are you even talking about.
@@CODcenter21 That he hates squirrels!
I shot a squirrel with a 243 today and it was quite the tracking job😂

Fried squirrel is my favorite bro!! Gotta cook em longer though. Of course unless you are in a hurry to eat and go fishin lol.
Hey man huge fan!
Gotta try the squirrel stuffed Pillsbury Crescents that Rinella did with Parker Hall on season 8 episode 1 👍🔥
410 is the best squirrel gun
A well placed .22 shot is comparable in my mind
im watching you squirrel hunting,,im going to get a meal this year too, i like using a 22 air rifle, its hard to hit them moving with it though.
I aim literally for the absolute center of the eye
I've hunted squirrel with a 410 for years, and learned early on that #4 shot hits them hard. 7,8,and 9 shot I will only use for small birds.
I literally just shot a .410 for the first time earlier today 😂😂 what are the odds you post a video about one
Like the squirrel videos
Looks good, I always use a 12 gauge and make fried squirl with water gravy and biscuits
Love you buddy keep it up
Great job! Send those squirrels tails into MEPPS for cash or trade for lures!🏆
Been doing it since my first squirrel probably 1981-82 use em for shad darts too
I love the great outdoors

Parboil the tree rats for 20 minutes, then the 30 minutes simmering in the pan like you did 👌

Good hunting bro bro
are you having as much trouble as me hear in ohio finding 410 ammo i usually shot 4 or 5 shot but cant find any anyplace.
love you.good job
If you pressure cook them for about 15 min. Before you season and fry them, then they are fall off the bone and perfect.
I really wish I had a tik tok so I could send this to vegan teacher and just watch her freak out
👍👍
Mullet man should make a tv shoe

I saw somebody that looked exactly like you yesterday

U should do your your own cooking book
put it in a pressure cooker for 20-30 mins before you fry it. Will be nice and tender

Around where I’m from all the squirrels run around town u hardly ever see them in the timber
Dam I'm hungry
Hey, the skin are more delicious specialy the old one. Give a try
Try different recipes for cooking squirrels.......I only see the one (squirrel in gravy slow cook).

The back is the best piece on squirrel legs are always tough
I wonder what squirrel tastes like...
Im learning to use guns and want to hunt eventually any tips
Same here lol
Yeeyee!!
Try that same recipe but in a pressure cooker, makes the meat super tender
Why don’t you try some heavier shot like some number 6s
my experience is that a .410 is a 20 yard gun
Should be using the airforce
8.7 that rounds to a 9 Haha
