  • This is a quick trip I made down to Marco Island, FL for my parents 50th anniversary. Congrats Mom n’ Dad and Happy Anniversary!! My brother whooped my butt at some nice beach Snook, family morning of live pitch bait fishin’, and a secret game changer that is coming soon..
Thank you Capt. Will Johnson with www.BearfootCharters.com (239-631-9953) for the great day! As much as I would have loved to chase those Silver Kings all day because it was peak Tarpon season..he took us out to do exactly what we wanted for a fun family trip with lots of action. We stuck a few inshore species for our catch n’ cook supper with a mess of mangs, trout, and a blue with plenty of leftovers. That’s saying a lot for us Hammond’s, we like to eat! Capt. Will was even kind enough to invite me to tag along on a Tarpon scouting trip but I had to turn and burn back to Lanier. I’ll take a rain check! Give em’ a call if you’re ever down that way tell him Capt. Andrew Hammond sent ya.
